I concur with you, the early apostles from the books of acts to revelations never asked the brethren nor the church for 10%, why modern pastors in fancy suits demanding for it? Prove me if I am wrong. How can you emphasize on tithes than salvation? The billonaires in this world helping humanity are not paying tithes, why you? Who tithe epp?

I collected my books today. All in all I will say the books are Ok and my kids love them. At least I heard the books weren't brand new so that made me prepare my mind. Some of the books actually do not have sign that shows it has been used while few had few writings and stickers on them, not a problem for me dou.

So kidco, try and improve on your shipping and handling cos I actually requested you pack my books separately just like every other person in my group but you packed everything together and Nita had to stress herself to sort them accordingly.
Thanks for the extra 1 book btw.

So many things on kidco's head.i dont want to bring my own too.am greatly disappointed with his methods of handling feedbacks.
He just blanked me and kept me waiting indefinitely to swap my books.his approach isn't anything to write home about either.
I jus didnt want to raise dust cos i have met him and he doesn't seem like someone who will swindle us on purpose.
I guess he is overwhelmed with request and keeps selecting juicier offers and neglecting his pending complains.

There is nothing wrong with the books per se and anyone who lives in Nigeria has most likely bought or is wearing something second-hand. I would laugh if anyone told me otherwise to my face.
I will still endorse him, as a viable option to those who don't want to spend N1500 or N2500 per book. As long as he now uses a better method of shipping because his current one isn't so effective and as long he tells them what type of books they are. In every business, there must be unsatisfied customers and it is dependent on the business owner to offer Customer Service. Which is what I would like him to do. That's all.

Please give Maran1983 a call, and firstly make apology for not getting back to her on time and refund her money and make arrangement for collecting the books. If I were you, since you didn't sent what she ordered for, I'd ask her to keep one book as a Sorry for messing up your order. You've made a profit here, you can afford to be nice to her. Good Customer service is much more important than being right or even getting the product right.

Kidco , just like Onegai said, try to use a better shipping option. There are so many good ones that will charge just what you are charging. The books you sent to Abj since last week haven't gotten to us cos if same shipping problem. Do the needful. I just hope I will be satisfied with the purchase datsall

Kidco, these are 2 of the books you sent yesterday. One had stickers removed and the other had pencilled answers to questions. My sis came alone to pick the books so her kids definitely didn't do it and mine can barely speak, talkless of write. Everyone, please judge whether that is a new or used book.

Also, I lived in the U.S. with my aunt who spent decades teaching in the U.S. school system (in the D.C. METRO area). I know Half-Priced Books and all the websites to get these books. Do you want me to list them? I even used to go to The Strand bookshop to get gently used Enid Blytons for my little cousins (because U.S. kids don't read British authors and I wanted them to).
If you wish to keep defending the indefensible, go ahead. It's your business you're talking about and potential customers you may be alienating.

Just be clear: gently used books.

I have battled with myself for almost a week, asking if I should share this with mothers here (and maybe spoil his business) or be quiet about this incident. At the end of the day, I decided it was best I share my experience and allow everyone decide what they want to do with the information shared. That way I would have satisfied my conscience.
I was one of those that signified interest in the books Kidco is selling. When I saw that some mamas in Rofemigwa’s group talked about the books being out of their kids’ age range, I decided to address that issue by ordering for my kids separate from the Abuja groups’, this I did because my kids ages range from 6-2, as such they have different reading needs.
I contacted Kidco, told him specifically what I wanted and the age range I wanted the books to span across. First of all, I never knew the books were not brand new or had been gently used. It was until I got them that I knew, anyway that was not a problem as only one had a page missing.
So, when I spoke with Kidco on whatsapp (anyone that wants my chat history with him can request for it, I will mail them to you), I told him I wanted some singing books, pop ups and character books for all 3 kids, he sent me pictures of those books and said they cost between 800 to 1000 Naira, I said it was not a problem, I would pay. When we were done with our transaction, I asked that he please send me pictures of the books before sending so that I would know what exactly I was getting, he promised to do that. However, the next day, when we spoke, he said he had forgotten to snap the books and that he was in a hurry to get the books to Lagos to be sent down to Abuja. In trust, I sent him his full money.
Imagine my shock when I got my stash of books and there were no character, singing or pop up books! I was upset and immediately reached out to Kidco, I told him I was not happy with the books I got because they were not what I had specifically requested and paid for. After a while, he responded, saying that he was busy and we would talk later. 3 hours later, he was yet to get back to me; again, I reached out to him to ask how I could get either a refund or replacements for the books. He said he would refund by the next week and tell me how to return his books.
I did not hear anything from him after that, so yesterday, I sent him a message to remind him that I was yet to hear from him. He read my chat and did not respond. I asked him why he was not responding, he replied that it would have been easier if I was in Lagos (well, I am not! Can’t help it).
I told him I was upset that he charged me for books he did not have and went ahead to send me something else. He asked if I was sure I was given the right books. I reminded him my books were clearly marked out and he had sent me a list of the books I was to receive. Since yesterday till now, Kidco has refused to respond to my messages. He gets them, reads them but does not reply them.
Like I stated earlier, the only reason why I brought this here is for others to be aware and be careful.
Going forward, I will suggest that for mothers that have not made their payments to Kidco to hold off on doing so. They may pay the money to the contact/pick up person, after they have received their books and are satisfied with their purchase, then she can send his money to him. Anybody with a better option can also suggest.

Someone somewhere is trying to sweep this terrible incident under the rug. This is just sad. The proprietor of the school is complicit in the child's death, and should be made to face the law. What an agonizing way for an innocent child to die! Rest in peace, little one
