Use of statistical methods has undergone a dramatic change as computers and IT methods have entered the research environment. Sophisticated analytics sofware (IBM SPSS, SAS, Excel, EViews, State etc) allows professionals to perform complex statistical techniques and draw valid conclusions from reports.

My fellow undergraduate/graduate statisticians on NL, please identify yourselves, share your hopes and aspirations, contacts, challenges etc in today's fast evolving data and analytics industry.

Everything that concerns dating, I've come to realise its luck and fate, u culd meet a young guy with potentials, he'll date u, but when he gets rich, the issue of class comes in (I'm talking out of experience). But then again, dating a rich guy is a two way thing, and also has to do with the "rich" guys personality, if he's just out to play, he'll use and dump u, but if he eventually falls in love, he can end up marrying u. Life's very complicated.

@OP, we all have our individual differences, the fact that it worked for Miss A, doesn't necessarily mean it will work for Miss B.

Take ur time, think it through, if u think u can cope with skul and family issues, then go ahead but if u can't, u can discuss with ur husby to be....make him see reasons why u guys should wait.

I knw some of us are also faced with parents who want us to go out with people from our own states, but most times we always come across people from other states, just creating dis thread so that we could mingle with each other, atleast try meeting sum1 from our very own state before we give up...if it then doesn't work...we could explain to our parents that we did our best...

Thanks so much to whoever created dis thread. I'm very much depressed at the moment nd its rilly weighing me down....I just ended a six year relationship abt a month ago nd its not been easy....i dated dis guy faithfully, did all i culd to make the relationship work...infact i met him when he was still in skul(final year) up until he got a job with an oil company nd all that....when i say i did all i culd...i feel i did, i put in all effort, always read articles abt relationships, appreciated watever he gave, didn't demand so much from him, had cordial relationship with his sibling and all that....it pains me greatly that i'll have to sit nd away all dis...i always avoid being pitied, i always stay strong but it just seems i lost it on this one....i just dnt knw what to do. I'm writing my project nd will soon face my degree exams, I'm trying so hard to get over it....

It depends on what caused the break up in the first place.I'm dating an ex at the moment nd to be frank the relationship is far much better than it was before the break up...i guess we both grew up nd learnt some lessons as well..

Well i have a little info to share, UBA takes IT students (6mnts/1 year), but that's if u knw an insider who can help u submit ur CV at the head office, then u'll surely be called for an interview...

NOTE: u have to go thru a staff of the bank, that's one of their criteria...
After u've been contacted, u'll be asked to get ur WAEC cert, birth cert, CGPA from skul etc.

Some of their staff don't even knw they've started taking IT students because they started doing that of recent...U might need to convince them before they'll agree to help u. Wish u guys he best.
