Tbh I don't know what's gonna happen with Pedri except wishing he comes back to full fitness to continue giving us joy but if there's any way we can lay our hands on Wirtz in future that might be a real game changer, Blud doesn't even look like he had an ACL injury at all, hopefully the FFP issues will leave so we can see if we have a chance

Player go get injury fans go Dey go back to last 3 seasons when Spain and Barca overuse am

It’s the club cannot take care of youngsters but when people like FDJ raphina get injury na normal thing but once it’s the kids it’s because they where overused

Hold the medical staffs responsible abeg ,we have had 22 injuries this season baba and FDJ top that list after pedri

One of pedri issue is Barca rushing him back because of how good he is ,that dude should sit out for the rest of the season abeg ,he should come back next season when he will be stronger ,I hope he doesn’t go to the euros also
Baba which time FDJ and Raphinha don get the kind injuries wey Pedri get? Person wey fit play three weeks max next thing we go hear na relapse, Even gavi wey strong like agbero na this same overusing issue cause am to get that ACL cause most of us were advocating for his rest immediately Spain qualified, everybody body dey different, Genes, Racial background, amount of games on the body matters a lot and Barça y Spain can't deny we made a mess of the situation, Medical team wey we dey even lash at no fit perform magic on an injury prone player abi make them give the players steriod to perform? Make nothing just do yamal and Cubarsi na my own be that

Yes I am worried for Yamal and Curbarsi.

The club has proven they cannot take care of the youngsters. Due to lack of funds, they cannot sign good players but now we rely and ultimately overuse youngsters, leading to recurring injuries.

Ansu Fati still breaks my heart but the club have shown we haven't learned from that experience.

It's just a pity.
It was always bound to happen with our financial situation and Enrique's Barça connection, I remember vividly when Barça tried to stop Pedri from going to the Olympics after the euros due to this fatigue fear but somehow along the way a compromise was reached for him to play, yes it helped him win the golden boy award but along the way we are now the ones suffering it in the long run
That's why this summer we have to take the pain staking decision to sell as much players as possible so we can go into the market and be more competitive in the present, all these youngsters we have will peak bit that's in the near future, I'm sure most of us were in awe of how arsenal are decimating opponents but it was a gradual step with buying players to build their team and focusing on their brightest academy talents like Saka, even with the bottling and bad results in arteta's first season they still kept on building the team to one that free scores without a lethal striker, so we just have to figure out what we'll do, Do we continue to suffer for the next few years while gradually building with lamasia and other youth talents from other clubs or do we sell or find another way to generate massive funds, beat tebas's FFP traps and buy established players to improve the team, whichever one they want to do a decision has to be made fast this summer before we gradually kill our future in the present

Another missed opportunity to climb second position and close the gap of Madrid to 5 points. Sad 😢😢😢
Even if we won do you really believe we'll win laliga over vardrid bro with their squad, form and "assistance" when things get tough, Our season most likely ended in January, All these talks about our injuries but bilbao had 7 bench warmers in their lineup yesterday but we still played like shit, Just pass, recycle the ball, hoof ball and pray for something to come out of it

You speak as though we're the only club with young players. Do you know that Jude Bellingham is still only 20 years and he was the mainstay in Borussia Dortmund and now in Real Madrid? He looks as fit as anyone can be. Occasional 2wks or so out is normal.

In my opinion, our players are not doing enough to be injury free. The club does not encourage them enough to stay healthy. They probably rely exclusively on the club's medical team. They should be doing more for themselves to stay fit.
Jude has not played the amount of games Pedri played in 2021 in his professional career, jumping from laliga, ucl r16, Copa del Rey final to the euros and later Olympics, also both are different physically as Jude is also a workhorse box to box midfielder compared to Pedri with his leaner frame, Barça and Spain destroyed him, Reason why we have to be extra careful with yamal and Cubarsi despite their talents too

It is past 3 yrs now. We can't keep giving same excuses. What is he doing to stay fit?
When you put too much stress on a still developing body we shouldn't be surprised if it start breaking down in the future, Look at fati, see what happened to gavi, see how we're praying for yamal despite the fact we enjoy his talent, now we've started with cubarsi, Tbh I don't know what would happen as regards Pedri in the future but the club should think thoroughly about this one cause they also have a big hand in it

@xlemus: "Barça should have a meeting with Pedri to discuss his future. If the club and the player don't find a solution to his constant muscular injuries, his future at the club should be compromised. In fact, it has been a while since he played at his best level."

I agree with this 100%. Pedri has missed 75 games for Barca in just under 4 yrs. This is no longer funny. If he can't stay fit, what's the use of his talent?

He's not being paid huge wages to ne shedding crocodile tears on the bench after yet another injury.

He's paid to help the club achieve there aim in a critical part of the season.
His club and country put him in his present state

FCB, no matter what you do, do not appoint Dezerbo, I can already see same issues we're facing now with him.

Also, let Felix find his level, Lewy from next season shouldn't be starter, get a physical trainer for sister Pedri....but damm, Araujo my goodness. That guy is so unreal in terms of pure defensive actions.

The way I dey fear for yamal ehn despite the fact he's our best winger at age 16, Flick might not be a tactical guru but we need that experience and physicality, dembele that left us when was the last time you've heard of his injury

I know vardrid are still odds in favorites to bag laliga but I've never laughed this hard in a long time when perusing through my X timeline
So this people sabi wail like this after trolling us day to day, bumper to bumper over any time we cry over referees inconsistencies in our games? Saying we make excuses and complain too much? See tears and catarrh everywhere grin grin grin grin

I hope they're still in the euphoria of advancing to the finals of the Copa del Rey. With Nico's absence, this should distract them a bit, so we can sneak away with a win.

Though we have been very good away from home this season, in the league. All our atrocious performances in the league, has come in Montjuic. We haven't lost an away match yet though it has to be said that we haven't played Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bilbao or even Girona in their homes.

So tough tests still lie ahead.
Tbh even if we win tomorrow I still see vardrid as the potential laliga champs cause of the setup of their squad and a better manager but a win tomorrow will really boost the players morale, So sad that those Villarreal and granada games are coming back to bite us

I prefer Flick because I think he can make the players more athletic and strong. Most of them look frail and feeble, unable to win 50-50 challenges in the middle of the park. Easily bullied.

I look at Real Madrid players and they look fit and athletic. But we have bunch of sissies, who can't run for more than 70mins.

Only Gavi gives me the strong and athletic vibe I want to see in 2020s set of players. It is obvious that there are less qualities now in football than there was in the 2010s. So what the players lack in quality, they are making up in athleticism and strength. This is the new reality.
Yup you're right, modern football deals more with strength and athleticism and flick with his German coaching roots should help to instigate that, I've always rated RDZ but I'm with andrewbaba44 on this one in that we can't sack xavi and employ him even though he's a cruyffist and is good with youth, My own is we should just find the money to get a defensively solid CDM with at least a good passing IQ of course, that would help patch up some things

I reiterate, Barcelona should steer clear of Dezerbo. He's absolutely clueless against lowblocks and we face lowblock teams almost always.

Brighton may equalise and beat Fulham but he remains a big no for me. He Gives Pochetino vibes everytime I watch them!

Poch 2.0!

Omo I'm still surprised still seeing RDZ still being clueless against low block teams, Laporte should get me flick abeg even it it's not for anything just the experience he's accumulated

Win tomorrow in Bilbao and we're back to title race.

San Mames is a difficult ground but we can win there.

Let's see how it goes
We just have to try and win tomorrow cause there's absolutely no choice, even girona will see this as a good opportunity, Nico not playing weakens them a little but they're still dangerous all round, we have to grind out a win if we can't do it the easy way

Alves was found guilty

These guys should learn abeg

You play about 18 good seasons at the top ,easily one of the greatest cb of all time ,you come Barca at 39 and go involve yourself for repe

Rapist deserves no pity

I hope Ronaldo faces the law at America soon

Alves remains my legend though ,but don’t blame the club for their decision

jpmoriarti:
He's been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction. So he cannot be a club's legend. You lose all your awards and recognitions if you are convicted in any court in the world. Even in Nigeria. Same applies
He fúcked up I don't deny but which one is removing him from list of Legends, Nigga is the best RB of his generation, 2nd most trophy hauls after Messi, dfkm, Off field and on field issues are clearly different, you can just cut ties by association but removing him from what he earned through blood and sweat on the pitch? Well removing it or not won't erase his contributions from our hearts or the ones of future culers yet unborn, sometimes I don't understand this club, that's how we were promoting LGBTQ memorabillia on the club's buildings
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 9:57pm On Feb 26

Raphina really disappointed me yesterday. It seems he is not aware of his position in that team. Just wasting chances and misplacing passes. Christensen in DM is working but we need proper solution. Any update about Gavi abeg? I dey miss the guy.
Gavi is coming back in September, immediately after the euros, Raphinha might ne annoying but he works hard and somehow chips in with a goal or assist hopefully the pressure from yamal will make him give us his best just like lewa now that roque has come, Yeah Christensen dey try sha but come summer we need an actual CDM, heard we're going for amadou Onana but Everton are quoting 60m for him, you probably watch him more than us cause of arsenal, how the guy dey abeg?

His situation will only get worse next as season mbappe and endrick joins them, Plus their already stacked midfield .
He will most likely go on loan and probably get sold just like odegaard.
Lol, wetin concern us with Guler, even if he agreed to join us he'll still have been on loan with fenerbache as at this moment as previously agreed, kid thought he will suddenly bamboozle his way into a packed squad with both the past and the future plus the cash that exchanged hands between vardrid and his father, It pained me then but as of today I don't care, that's old story,

I was surprised to see getafe of all people playing high line yesterday grin

They had to let him go ,he is their legend and mind you he is 35
I'll have to give kudos to xavi for yesterday's game despite what I think of him tactically, he made getafe uncomfortable when they first started with their low block before they came out and chopped more goals with their highline, those guys suppose chop reach seven yesterday, I just hope we can keep up this good performance to do great in San mames next week, that inaki dey vex me

As in eh!!!

I was just lamenting that day, take Pedri off.

He is slow and short also can't mark,it's only when the ball is at his feet you'll feel him which he has also dropped with form.

Raphinha, Ronu abi Romeo don't have business in that match .But what do are know,we move.
So who do you feel we should use instead of Pedri? We all know Pedri isn't a that dirty defensive midfielder na, Raphinha might not be what we expected but he's what we got
