Firstly, they recognised all the golden boot winners in the top 4 or top 5 leagues which Lautaro was among for his exploit in Italy. He also won the scuddeto. He was 💯 gonna be nominated irrespective of world cup performance. Vini, Beli all made it for thier world cup exploits or for being popular players.

The list is also dominated by PSG players. That's the team with the UCL trophy.

Then there's Bruno, best player in the best league in the world. Even if Spain were knocked out in the quarters, Yamal woulved made the list. He was the best player in Laliga; another popular league.

Odegaard and Pedri couldn't be dominated. They both won their respective league but didn't light up the world cup. Ode played better but exited early while Pedri wasn't great but won it on the pitch.

Vozinha's Instagram was something else, they had to recognise him. He was the most popular unknown in the worldcup.

They also had to recognise Ferran who scored the wining goal. I think he replaced Oyazabal.
