A newly wedded young man who was identified as Mr. Rex Ebube Amatu lost his life three days after his traditional marriage.

According to report gathered, the incident allegedly occurred when the Nigerian police stopped and asked the deceased to reverse his car for security checks.

It was gathered that while reversing to pack well, a speeding tripper obviously trying to evade the checkpoint rammed the deceased car and mangling it. he died instantly at the spot.

May his soul rest in peace and may God grant his family and new wife the fortitude to bear this great loss.

Roseline Nwokocha, her sister, Chioma, alongside some other women have been arrested at Rumuokuta junction in Port Harcourt, Rivers State after they tried to buy a newborn baby.

In Roseline’s confession statement, she said it isn’t her first time. She said the last time she came to Port Harcourt to buy a baby, her sister Chioma accompanied her because she was sick.

The previous child she bought cost her N1.1 million. The child she was nabbed trying to buy was to be sold at N1 million and she said she planned to give the child to the buyers at N1.1 million Naira.

She was nabbed with the N1.1 million Naira in cash, and stated that it was the buyers who gave her the money as she left Umuahia for Port Harcourt.

When asked who she planned to pay the money to, she pointed at another woman in the group named Chi Chi. Chi Chi was asked who she planned to get the baby from and she pointed to another woman named Aunty Ify.

She said Aunty Ify approached her that she had a baby for sale at 950,000 Naira so, she topped her gain of 50,000 Naira and sold to Mrs Nwokocha at 1 million Naira. She said once Mrs Nwokocha’s money is handed to her, she will hand Aunty Ify’s share to her and Ify will then bring the baby.

Aunty Ify was asked where she got the baby she wanted to sell from and she said she has no idea. She said someone called her that they had a baby to sell so she set the wheels in motion.

Mrs Roseline Nwokocha was asked what happened to the baby she bought two weeks ago and she said the baby is in Aba with a couple. She was asked for the couple’s name but she couldn’t provide an answer.

She was also asked what she planned to do with the baby she came to buy before she was nabbed and she said a couple from Umuahia were to adopt the child. She also said she couldn’t remember the Umuahia couple’s name.

A 5th woman in the group was identified as the mother of the previous baby Mrs Nwokocha bought.

Temisan Oritsejafor, the Nigerian who spat blood into a policewoman's eyes during his arrest in the UK, has been jailed for eight months.

The 41-year-old launched the sickening attack on PC Annie Napier as she detained him after he assaulted his neighbours.

The incident occurred at a block of flats in Coventry on April 18.

During the incident, Oritsejafor, who suffered a bloody nose, was seen getting handcuffed in bodycam footage before he spat at PC Annie Napier.

He was on bail at the time for a previous assault on a police officer, a court heard.

Oritsejafor admitted common assault and two charges of common assault on emergency workers at Warwick Crown Court in May.

On Thursday, July 2, he was jailed for eight months and ordered to pay a £149 victim surcharge.

Prosecutor Mark Phillips said: 'A male officer who believed he was being aggressive took him to the floor, and was assisted by a female colleague, PC Napier, to restrain him.


'As they're getting him up, he spits into the officer's face

'That is spit and blood, because he had had a bleeding nose earlier, and it catches her straight in the eye.'

Playing a CCTV recording of the incident, Mr Phillips added: 'She is clearly upset, and she's very shaken indeed.'

PC Napier, who tested negative for Covid-19, said: 'As frontline officers, we know that we put ourselves in potential danger, but we now face the added risk of Covid-19 infection which then also puts our families at risk.

It's a shock when someone spits in your face and very unpleasant, so I'm pleased the force and the courts take these assaults so seriously.'



Superintendent Jenny Skryme, of West Midlands Police, said: 'It is vulgar and unacceptable to spit at anybody, but even more so a key worker who is putting themselves at risk to keep people safe and catch criminals.



'Our officers are bravely and repeatedly on the frontline despite the understandable safety concerns across the country.



'This type of assault on our staff is deplorable and shouldn't, and won't be, tolerated.'

Two employees of the United Nations mission in Israel have been suspended without pay after a viral video featured a sex act in their official vehicle, as it drove down a major street in Tel Aviv.



Recall that in the 18-second video, a woman in a red dress was seen straddling a man in the back seat of clearly marked white UN vehicle. Another man appears to be asleep in the passenger seat.



In a statement released on Thursday July 2, the UN said the men in the video have been identified as staff members of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), UN military observers based in Israel.



Stéphane Dujarric, the spokesman for the UN's secretary general said the two staff members have been suspended without pay until the investigation into the incident has concluded.



Dujarric told BBC;



"Their suspension was appropriate given the seriousness of the allegations of failing to observe the standards of conduct expected of international civil servants.

"UNTSO has re-engaged in a robust awareness-raising campaign to remind its personnel of their obligations to the UN Code of Conduct."

The UN maintains strict regulations barring sexual misconduct by staffers and has come under fire for violations in recent years. A report by the UN confirmed 175 allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse by staffers in 2019. Sixteen claims were substantiated, fifteen were found to be unsubstantiated, and the rest are still investigated.

A Nigerian model has accused Beyonce of using African culture for personal gains without Africa benefitting from it.



@Dimssoo also accused the American singer of contributing to the misrepresentation of Africa through her songs, thereby giving people the impression that "Africa is this place where we wake up in the morning and tie our wrapper and put chalk on our face and scream 'WAKANDA' then go and hunt lions."



Dimssoo said it's things like this that makes African Americans and other people ask if Africa has WiFi.



She also accused Beyonce of taping into the wealth of the African culture for her art but never adding African countries to her tours.



@Dimssoo's tweets comes after Beyonce released a teaser for her Black is King visual album.
