FoodRe: What's That Food You Cannot Do Without Eating? by kinah(f): 7:45pm On Apr 25, 2023
Team any type of rice.

I had to reduce my rice consumption cos of diet o. To incorporate other beneficial meals.
Now I have other food I love.
Peppersoup with any type of protein.
Beans with corn/bread/garri
Tumeric rice
Fried rice
I eat this at least twice a week

Bahamas95:
Rice.

I just love and enjoy eating rice from childhood. I don't care about the type, be it jollof, fried, coconut, banga, concoction etc. I will eat it if it's tasty.

I don't always feel comfortable if I haven't eaten rice in a day..... Even if I don't eat swallow for 1wk I won't miss it, but I must eat rice everyday.

I thought it was the other way round. I thought fresh was for cooking and powdered for tea. Well we learn everyday. E good like that sef as the fresh one can stain everywhere for kitchen angry
You get it the stain..
The fresh has strong taste and smell, harsh too.
The powdered is less pungent.

Spent the night baking cake and did the icing this morning. Baby has been shouting your the best mum ever,he is six today.
May his heart ❤️ be pure and courageous.

I wish I can perfect my baking skills. Paid and didn't finish my training.
Didn't practice at home too
Cost of the ingredients killed the moral.

So what’s fresh turmeric used for? huh
Well to my understanding or from what I have seen
It is used
As herbs
For tea
For skin care

Although the powdered one is better for tea.
I make use of the powdered form alot
For fried rice
Beans
Sphaggeti
Macaroni
Tumeric rice

Too strong I tell you ,I only use it for stew and it's just a little (quarter of a teaspoon) .
A quarter of a teaspoon is much

A pinch does it

Nice one
1. I love your pot,, looking for something like that
2. You have done well.
That looks amazing.
But
The oil is too much
And the seasoning way too much .

Enjoy

Don't mind me jare. I hate coconut rice being white. I couldn't get tomatoes today, so I added the turmeric to give it a little bit of colour.

Yes, the turmeric overpowered it. Don't try it, that spice is too strong.
Anyone using tumeric should know it is very strong but a pinch of it goes a long way.
Probably you added too much.

Takes getting use to. Start trying it.
It is a very tasty meal.
Toast your bread and just cut, peel and ready to eat. Nothing added - no salt added if I'm eating it with bread.
Avocado - when not spoilt, taste good.
You cut it open and see that greenish light yellow color (not brown) then you are on to some great eating experience cheesy
I snack on plain Avocado!
I will.

You're doing well. 👍🏻

Try squeezing some lime juice into it (to give it that tangy taste), add a bit of salt, mash and use it as spread for bread.
Will try it again
Thanks

Today's meal
Ist 🖼️: ogbono soup and semovita
2nd 🖼️: rice and stew, plantain and egg

BB doesn't eat noodles, fish or meat.
She eats chicken occasionally.
She loves beans and egg

I ensure I add milk to her puree/liquid meals.
So she will have enough source of protein.

My only concern is the beans in the mixture. Hope making it just like pap is enough to cook the beans properly before consumption?
Worried about that too
The stomach wont tolerate the unpeeled beans.
