They dont teach history so a lot people dont know much. Thats why Wike doesnt know the history of his own state. He kept shouting that people were renaming the place to Obigbo not knowing thats its always been the ancestral name of the place. Wike does not even know that Obigbo indigenes are Asa/Ndoki people who are ethnic Igbos. He carried on making a fool of him self that Rivers state has been hosting Igbos without knowing that the Etches of Etche LGA, Egbema's of Egbema Ndoni LGA and Asa/Ndoki of Obigbo are all indigenous ethnic Igbos of Rivers state.

Yes Rivers state was created in 1967, but from what was it created? This area you are today calling Rivers State was land taken from 5 provinces, Portharcourt province, Yenagoa province, Degema province, Owerri province and Aba province

Places like Egbema and Etche used to be in Owerri province. Obigbo was in Aba province which eventually became part of Imo state. In 1976, there was a boundary adjustment which saw Obigbo removed from Imo state and put in Rivers state then renamed "Oyigbo"

Some people think Rivers state just dropped out of the sky but the reality is that Rivers state was was created out of land stolen from 5 provinces and two of those provinces, Owerri and Aba, are Igbo provinces.

Someday, we Igbos are going to ask for our land back and that means that Egbema, Obigbo, Etche, Omuma amongst others are returning back to us.

Wike just got up one day, with no investigation, no evidence and no proof, accused IPOB of burning Police stations and killing security operatives.

In a democracy, Wike appointed himself investigation officer, judge, jury and executioner. He invited the military into Obigbo and many people were killed. All for what? Why would a Governor create a scenario where Soldiers move into an area in his state and start killing people indiscriminately? He never even condemned the killings for one day, showing that it was all out of hatred.

The same Wike said that IPOB wants to annex Rivers state into the SE and claimed that Rivers state belongs to the Niger Delta. The same thing he accused IPOB of doing
