PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by king94(m): 1:15am On Dec 11, 2013
pitypec: The british were snubbed cos they were the chief instigator of apertheid. They are the root cause of it all. The iinternet is meant for research nw go read my friend na only nairalland u dey visit.
Okay. Why woz Angola, Libya and d other countries at d burial 'snubbed'. And for ur information, US were not such a close fwnd of Madiba nd dey gave a speech. Madiba preached tolerance, forgiveness and humility which is missing on this thread.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by king94(m): 3:44pm On Dec 10, 2013
Orlando Owoh: I agree with you, but not on an occasion like this. Nigeria contributed a lot to the liberation of SA. It cost Murtala Muhammed his life. It took the West many years before they could take the life of Muammar Gaddafi who also was instrumental. Or do you think Jacob Zuma was foolish when he said would grant asylum to Gaddafi if he demanded it?
I'm confused here. Did the West kill Murtala cos my history books show me dat Dimka killed him.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by king94(m): 3:42pm On Dec 10, 2013
GenBuhari: Why Brazil? are they not the same continent as USA?
Truth is that it is to do with how a nation is respected and their influence on the world stage.

Nigeria's influence in Africa has diminished since Abacha's death .
Brazil nd USA ar not from d same continent. Get ur facts right.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by king94(m): 3:40pm On Dec 10, 2013
donphilopus: Why on earth would Namibian president speak on behalf of Africa?? If Mandela were to be a Nigerian, Jacob Zuma wouldn't have arrived Nigeria, before his name would be written among the people to speak.
Wot is ur problem wit a speech? Finding fault in d minutest of details ain't good. I can't believe dat u ar bickering ova a memorial service. I don't care about who spoke at d memorial. I'm more concerned about d legacy he left behind and which we should all strive to emulate.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by king94(m): 3:26pm On Dec 10, 2013
kokoA: Lybia is not the most populous black nation in the world. Nigeria paying tribute to mandela is like the whole black race appreciating him for what he did for our brothers in SA. Its more of a symbolic gesture than a mere speech. The organisers got it all wrong.
Namibia did dat for black Africa. It is not on every occassion dat Nigeria must speak for Africa.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by king94(m): 3:12pm On Dec 10, 2013
This is not a snub on GEJ. This is not a snub on Nigeria. It is not even a snub. Why are u all disturbing urselves over a speech at a memorial service. Last tym I checked, libya didn't speak nd Gaddafi woz a firmer supporter of Madiba than our dear country eva woz.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by king94(m): 3:05pm On Dec 10, 2013
odua boy: Even "common"Namibian president is giving a speech so why should the president of the supposed giant of africa not doing that
It's really disgraceful.
'Common' namibia. That sounds degrading. They gained their independence from SA so I don't knw wot u ar trying to insinuate.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by king94(m): 3:00pm On Dec 10, 2013
I don't seem to undastand wot d op is saying. Nambia is d only country 4rm Africa dat is giving a tribute 2dai(they gained their independence 4rm South Africa). Barack Obama woz d only western leader dat gave a speech 2dai. I don't see d british press complaining about d 'snub' so I don't know wot d fuss is all about. It is a memorial service nd dat is wot we should focus on rather than wasting time on egotistical shenanigans.

Fentoluwa: if u paste our arguments on d said date. Do u think it will still be competitive? And one's opponent will b aware of d others point b4 sunday 15th
It wuld make it more effective. There is no way ur opponent can know wot u have written b4 dat dai. Don't worry, when ur opponents fire u kweshions, u wuld have no choice but to retaliate.

Mhyke: u guys should thread it softly plsss...it's just a debate,sm1 has 2 lose nd winnin is nt much of a big deal.d joy is abt havn smtn to dscuss, contemplate nd argue abt.it dosnt matter if d arguement ends up in favour of sm1.d loser should tak d defeat lik a winner nd d winner should b humble abt d vctory..
just suggestn.
She has alwaiz bin humble. We, her fans, ar d ones hyping her. It's perfectly normal to whine people. Hyping her doesn't change d fact dat it woz a gud debate 4rm both sides.
EducationRe: Nairaland Interschool Debate. :::Planning Thread by king94(m): 8:19am On Dec 09, 2013
pseudonomer: I don't mean you the debaters, I meant your colleagues(schoolmates)... Not taking anything serious(just saying... Lolz)
I'm not her skulmate but I'm bragging on her behalf since she wants to be coy about her abilities. She has fans to hype her.
EducationRe: Nairaland Interschool Debate. :::Planning Thread by king94(m): 3:25am On Dec 09, 2013
pseudonomer: Seriously? It's just game... But get it at back of your mind you didn't face a tough opponent... Don't go on bragging. I only brag or become so proud if I successfully overcome a very tough challenge or got an A in ɑ very tough course. You guys won; Yes, you deserve to win...but you don't deserve a bragging right(lolz)
She isn't bragging. She's even being modest. We ar d ones doing d bragging for her.
RomanceRe: Women W/fake Profile Picture's by king94(m): 7:29pm On Dec 08, 2013
abbeyty: What is your problem with who posts fake or real picture. It is thier problem let them deal with it
This is a general forum where u can post what is on ur mind. She didn't say she had a problem with any1. She woz simply asking for opinions on an issue dat she's uncertain about.
RomanceRe: Women W/fake Profile Picture's by king94(m): 7:16pm On Dec 08, 2013
I don't undastand why sum1 would claim another person's pic as theirs'. It might be that d person isn't confident enough about his/her looks. I don't compliment people on their dp cos I don't know who is who. I'm an advocate of ppl being true to themselves.

Oluwatola5: You didnt make us win, rather our resilient team spirit did, correct that notion, afterall some schools won with lesser points, but we had 70, if our team work hadnt been good, mayhaps we could have won with just 60 against 55, abeg 70 no be beans, it isnt even the fact that we won you guys that matters here, check our team work and even our debate in totality, also our rebuttals, we arent a weak side and you know it. If you had been on, you guys team might have done well as us, or even better, but still that doesnt change the fact that we deserve the 70 we got... Winning or losing isnt my main priority anyway, all i need is having good points to remain in the competition, afterall Delsu defeated UI with 78points to 73, so both teams are assured of their remaining in the challenge irrespective of who won or who lost. Its just a game!!!
Sista yii tun ti beere. Iwe factorial,I hail ooo.
