A day or two to your assumption of duty you can resign. The reason for this is because unforseen circumstances may arise and the date can be postponed again and you Don resign with no cash inflow for you.

Collect your FiRS job, make sure you upgrade your skills and qualifications (most time you'll have to do it by yourself because most MDAs no dey try very few do)
Also as your upgrading yourself make sure to document everything with HR department (you no know where all these things fit carry you go)

On the outside people will think it is automatic enjoyment for you but no be so... lol.
Even inside the organisation you'll still need to know oga at the top for things to come to you.

Aside revenue, another thing to consider is staff strength. If your staff strength is in plenty in the range of thousands the chances of big emoluments is lower.
For example people like customs and FIRs generate trillions but considering their staff strength the emoluments wouldn't be much.

Now compare that to NUPRC that is probably not more than 2 thousand (2k is much sef)

NUPRC regulates upstream..

In oil and Gas the main money is in upstream (exploration)

You're comparing illegal renumeration of CBN vs the legal renumeration of NUPRC.

If you want to compare, either compare officially for each or vice versa illegally.

I may be wrong but I think this their first time payment, first time payments are usually heavy. Considering All allowances included and things like hotel in lieu for 2-3 months
If I'm correct then their subsequent upfront is around 10-11M

Its better to level 8 officer for a for top agency than to be a level 14 officer for ministry.

Telecom companies will never bribe a level 8 officer of NCC. Even the NCC chairman is under Minister of Communication and can't receive any package without the knowledge of Minister. Big companies don't bribe juniors staff and they don't even have reason to bribe anyone. Their taxes go directly to TSA.

NNPC, FIRS, NPA, NIMASA and Customs that generate highest level of revenue can't even seen 50% bribe EFCC officials are exposed too.

EFCC only report, accountable and answerable to the President. Other agencies are still under Their Ministers.

Contract staff dont get promoted except in rare cases when the bank is short staff and they want to convert but even the conversion your age will considered if you're above 30 nothing for you.

- as a teller some days your Till no go balance na you go pay and balance before you go home, nothing like end of month they will deduct from your salary. You go balance am on the spot

-your mental health will be affected, every four to six months you will be seeing small small children wey dem go employ to be your Oga, some of them go talk to you anyhow because you be bloody teller.

- tellers are front line staff that means their appearance matters alot, once you don dey reach 40 just know say you sack letter don dey come. They will employ a younger person for your job.

-I dare anybody to count 3 persons they know personally that retired peacefully (not resign o) and is collecting pension from a private bank

- you must be at office before 7:00 am so that you attend morning meetings, the meeting starts by 7 for most banks and branches.

- everyday your heart will be cutting because you dont know what you go and face in the office.

- just forget about half of your weekends, you be suport for ATM, there would be branch reviews and some meetings weekends.


-govt job gives more than enough time, you go dey wonder wetin you wan use your time do. That when you're supposed to start a side hussle and plan your life and further your education.
Nobody go give you chance to further any education for bank.

The thing I hate about Govt jobs is that you'll meet some of the most unqualified people ever, you'll be wondering how this person take get this job sef and also the Environment is toxic with unnecessary politics, tribalism and religion involved.
