pansophist: If not for nairaland, I won't even know about that show. In fact, I don't have a television in my house. It's a distraction and I don't need it. sometimes it's nice to watch. you get to see and understand some of human nature for free. you get to see power play moves from house mates and some idiosyncrasies associated with human beings. last season was boring, the people they brought were cliche including the winner and you could easily see through them. kidwaya is from the upper season, super nice guy. he's from a rich background but he's super down to earth and you can tell he's worked on his character. this season isnt bad but most of the characters act like children ( maybe it's just old age that is worrying me) they are giving me gen-z vibes. it's always nice to watch the beginning of season when there are plenty housemates before they start getting evicted |

richmondefosa: Hi.
I apologize for my late response.
Congratulations to your sister for completing her medicals. She's as good as getting the offer already.
What should she expect? This question is vague. You'll have to streamline it.
Will she be posted to a branch? I wouldn't know. She might be posted to a branch or she'll be made a regional custodian. Regional custodian are incharge of off-site ATMs in a particular region. (off-site ATMs are ATMs that aren't in bank branches. They're found in malls or supermarkets or eateries)
Each branch is under a region and each region is under a zone. So if she's a regional custodian, she will be moving from point A to point B troubleshooting ATMs.
The salary depends on the Grade she's given. I have explained earlier in the thread the grades and the salaries attached.
You can grow in any position you find yourself in the bank. hey thanks for all of your input. some weeks after my sisters medicals, she was sent a mail that she passed the entire process but they currently dont have a Vacancy for the role she applied. they claimed her credentials would be kept for a period of one year pending position becomes available. my sister was sad, but why put people through the whole stress if there's no Vacancy? |

Nooner: Gone were the days you’ll get job offer directly from Nigeria. But some still do , if they’re being transferred to work here or lucky enough to get a direct employer form here which is very rare now because of competition btw india, Philippines and other African countries.
If you want your cert to be recognized from here. Do a police clearance, get your certificate attestation done by Wes.. but after which you will need to do a training here cuz their system is very different from Nigeria system. Even though you’re certified in Nigeria. They still want you to be trained here to understand some basic things.
Uae is an Arab country but they have a standardized system like US and UK. Everything is working the way it’s suppose to but na your money go suffer am. thank you so much. but I'm still a bit confused, what type of training are we talking about. |

pansophist: If you have 6000 euros to spare, you can apply to study for a degree in Finland through the open route. So what it means is that you will study your first year online, and a year later, you move to Finland to complete your degree. This method is good because Finland requires an entrance exam (like Nigeria post ume), but with this open route, you skip the entrance exam and go straight to the second year in Finland.
But if you have a way of going to Finland to write an entrance exam and start there from the first year, then this info is unnecessary. But Finland will not give you a visa for the entrance exam. Now you may ask, why Finland? Since April this year, there are changes in the Finnish immigration policy. So you need to live for four years to get permanent residence, and a student visa counts toward that four years.
So imagine you are studying for a bachelor's degree course for four years, and after you are done with your degree, you become a permanent resident and a citizen a year later. What is greater than that? The application for the 2022-2023 semester ends today. If you have money, I advise you just go through this route and save yourself and your future. forever grateful for your wisdom. I'm done with my bachelor's degree. I'm looking forward to my masters degree, is this solution applicable for a masters degree ? |

Nooner: Hi there, Comparing nigeria standard of living with UAE is not the same. You’ll find that from the picture. The lady is staying in free company accommodation, she has access to 2 yrs work visa. Free transportation to - from work. She’s giving medical insurance and no utility and still earn 1,200 AED. Atleast I don’t know her but from looking at the video I know the nature of her job and might be 80% right. Which company will pay you 225k in nigeria now if you’re not a senior staff?
I said she wasn’t properly informed. Yes that’s fact… after you arrive in UAE.. you’ll need to take some training or program that you’re interested in.
Get certified, you’ll earn minimum 3k dirhams which is over 550k in naira monthly ..can you pay around 1m naira for just training/ program Before you get a job?
Someone said is Dubai abroad? Even some african country is abroad to nigeria now. Some people come here with 1m which is very small. After paying for rent/ utility, they’re left with nothing and you can afford to get training/ program. If you’re in Dubai and you’re suffering na you do yourself.
I’m a web developer, I spent over 1m naira for training for more than 6months and I earn over 1m naira now monthly.
Do me a favor, go to google.com compare salary paid to a web developer in Nigeria and in UAE…. Will any company of nowadays in nigeria give you medical insurance, transportation allowance , accommodation allowance which you can option for cash? The lady in picture option to stay at the company accommodation cuz she’s not earning a lot.. therefore staying alone will cost her more.
What can you achieve with 225k monthly in Nigeria? If you get a job paying around 225k on the island ?
From Lagos mainland Transportation- 35k public transport Driving yourself in a V4 car 50k
Rent - 30k monthly Food - 30k Utility / phcn : 3k Generator - 20k including servicing Clothing. Shoes / work wears : 30k Internet sub - 10k monthly Gas cooker Total is like 153k I no include gas cooker ooo If you get kids and paying school fees, tell me how 225 will give you a lot in nigeria. I pity those earning 30k -70k.. una Dey try… God got you. what kind of certifications ? must the certifications be done in Dubai ? also kindly explain how the whole process goes on, do you get a job offer before moving to Dubai or you could move then start job hunting ? |

Will she be posted to a branch or ? What's the salary like ? Is it a position she can grow ? |
