Mariangeles:
Seun, do South Africans pay to promote their country/brand on nairaland?
What is our business with a brand that we no longer have business with?

Also, why are they allowed to talk down on Nigeria, on a Nigerian forum however they please?
Stop being a hypocrite, you can't talk down on us and not expect us to retaliate

Its one day at a time. Soon SA will look very much like DRC.
Just say you wished that was the case and keep it moving...deal?

The truth is bitter. SA better learn from the mismanagement in other African countries. They can still arrest the decline.
LOL, what truth? bruv, Nigerians are the last people to call anyone's country "deteriorated"..I mean, hello? Have you seen your own country? it looks a post-apocalyptic mess

Their country is rapidly deteriorating
And it’s slow of them to think trump or Elon is their problem
. This, coming from someone who already dwells in a deteriorated country is wild

Right right.

Oh the Xenophobia/Afrophobia is very active. You are just masking it under the disguised term "patriotism" and "South Africa first"

It will never be played out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJGOzlIEcxw&t=383s
You're simply re-hashing the same argument..

We're so called "xenophobic" right? and you're tribalistic and religious intolerant right?

So what gives you the right to point fingers at South Africa? Its exactly like a Japanese person mocking a South Korean for having slanted eyes.. it's hypocrisy no matter how you spin it my friend

Take the same energy and transfer it to your tribal politics
PoliticsRe: Most Admired Brands In Africa 2025 by KingCold: 5:43pm On Jun 04, 2025
seppuku:
How is it that you have come to know of all these "Nigerian" matters and are able to articulate them to me so eloquently or are an active participant and contributor on a "Nigerian" platform.

Shouldn't your one-dimensional mind be focused on why you have a tribal Zulu party recruiting then chastising a Venda Secretary general. A Kleptocratic government who are concerned about minority White monopolycapital and foreign direct investments against economically empowering an improveshied majority and a population of formerly discriminated peoples discriminating against a defenseless class of people.

Come now my friend, you must look very hard at your yourself in the mirror?
hahaha.. bro.. South African political parties are multicultural, even without Floyd Shivambu at MK party, there are still other Venda, Sotho, Xhosa, etc .. people in hag party ..you're taking chances...

You're the one who needs to look in the mirror before pointing fingers at us and crying xenophobia at every turn, its played out and boring now...we owe you nothing

An oh, proof you need to look in the mirror before you comment.....your government is Kleptocratic too
PoliticsRe: Most Admired Brands In Africa 2025 by KingCold: 5:31pm On Jun 04, 2025
seppuku:
So says the one-dimensional minded Saffer Kingcold.

You are entitled to your world view.
You remain a hypocrite my brother no matter the insults you throw at me.. a hypocrite with misplaced priorities ..

You have igbo voters in Lagos threatened with violence to suppress their participation in elections, you have igbo people who struggle to get apartments in Lagos because of their ethnicity, you have the "igbo must go" sentiment etc

And your whole focus is on the supposed "xenophobia" of South Africa, of which you're not even experiencing...

Seems to me you're the one who's one dimensional here

Stop trying to be superlicious Mfethu. I am interested in South African politics and have followed it for quite some time now having spent time there many years ago when you were still fighting hard to pass Afrikaans in Matric.

I have worked with NGO's in the past that have been stationed in several African countries including SA and have a soft spot for refugees. migrants and the likes.

Stop deflecting!
Don't care where you worked or what you're interested in..the bottom line is, a Nigerian has no business decrying "xenophobia" in South Africa, it's hypocritical at best... that simple..
PoliticsRe: Most Admired Brands In Africa 2025 by KingCold: 5:05pm On Jun 04, 2025
seppuku:
That's your opinion i.e. you are judging the facts and claiming it is far worse.

Simply because you "believe" or are of the "opinion" that a good major of us have no higher moral ground to make statements against xenophobic acts that are perpetrated by your people because of tribalism in Nigeria, does not negate the fact that what you are doing is despicable and should be ignored.

That's infantile reasoning.

Case in point. Why does Gayton Mckenzie and the Patriotic alliance support the Israeli government in their genocidal acts against palestinians and in the same breath chaired by Saffers for his crusade of the empowerment of poor and disenfranchised South Africans at the expense of black foreign nationals.

Isn't that hypocrisy?
Seppuku, what are you even arguing here?

At every given chance you whine, bitch and moan about the supposed "xenophobia" of farway South Africa and yet you' have tribal discrimination right at your doorstep, apart from your hypocrisy, you really have misplaced priorities my friend..
PoliticsRe: Most Admired Brands In Africa 2025 by KingCold: 4:45pm On Jun 04, 2025
seppuku:
How does the above statement counter or take away from the fact that South Africans have become a degenerate population of xenophobes who now openly discriminate against innocent black foreign nationals whether legal or illegal?
I am saying you're the last people to grandstand on this type of issue.. you discriminate against your own, which is far far worse
PoliticsRe: Most Admired Brands In Africa 2025 by KingCold: 4:40pm On Jun 04, 2025
seppuku:
It would by hypocritical on my part if I subscribed to such tribal sentiments but fortunate for you, I am above such primordial sentiments.
You alone, not subscribing to those types of sentiments doesn't change the fact that Nigeria remains a hotbed of tribal hate, even of religious intolerance
PoliticsRe: Most Admired Brands In Africa 2025 by KingCold: 4:35pm On Jun 04, 2025
seppuku:
very similar indeed, but are you by comparing the two implying that either behavior is justifiable?
No, I'm rendering your constant finger pointing and whining at South Africa rather hypocritical
PoliticsRe: Most Admired Brands In Africa 2025 by KingCold: 4:30pm On Jun 04, 2025
seppuku:
What are you on about.

You stated a "FACT' and I countered with another.

Stay on point Mfethu.
You mean it's similar to your rampant tribalism? yes/ no?
PoliticsRe: Most Admired Brands In Africa 2025 by KingCold: 4:23pm On Jun 04, 2025
seppuku:
Your people are a heavily xenophobic/discriminatory peoples towards black foreigners.

This is FACT as well.
Oh, the victim angle. can't say I didn't see this card coming..

You brought up the Pastor neh. I am only responding to South African matters at this juncture.

Do you want to discuss our Wike versus Fubara matter?
Your pastor is but one example of your people committing crimes in this country, so this " at least they didn't blame foreigners" rhetoric won't work.. they DO commit crimes in this country. FACT

Pastor Omotoso was found "not guilty" by your proclaimed competent judiciary or are you admitting now that you are running a banana republic down there in the South?
A whole Nigerian calling other countries "banana republics" is wild lol 😂 complete lack of self-awareness

RIP to OLorato. At least they didn't blame this one on FOREIGNERS!

Your GBV criminals are definitely putting "SOUTH AFRICA FIRST" in this regards.
Where you deserve blame you shall receive it eg. Pastor Omotoso

grin grin grin grin grin grin

Typical! grin

The point is that if there is a place where you're persecuted and killed randomly for just looking pretty ,why not run away from such a place but continue bringing in your whole family? grin

If I found a lion's den my mistake ,I'd do everything in my power to escape that vicinity not recruit(lure) my kids and extended family there ...common sense grin grin
OMG they're so slow... grin grin
