OP, please stick instead to reading through the Gospels for yourself so you can learn the Truth from the Truth of God Himself. Jesus Christ is The Way, the Truth, and the Life, and so the only way to overcome sin is to accept and obey the teachings of Jesus Christ(The Truth of God).

Yes, we are christ like already because we have His nature in us. But In the very comment you quoted, I told you that: while our salvation is IMMEDIATE, our becoming PERFECT like Christ is not IMMEDIATE but GRADUAL. The reason for this, is because we were bornt and brought up in the FLESH. But Christ in the opposite was bornt and brought up in HOLINESS. And He came to the world to transfer His life of HOLINESS to us who were all our lives UNHOLY. Hence, that life transfer from our UNHOLINESS to His HOLINESS will take time through our many falling and rising, trying to learn everything about Him until we finally become perfect like Him.

The first thing that is should be appreciated is that, First, we are Sinners, born to be sinners, fashioned to be sinners and in fact, the world would not have us any other way Except We Are Sinners, then will they "love" us and "accept" us.

Dear friends, I greet you in the name of the Lord this morning. I pray that we will live to experience the goodness of God all through our lives in Jesus name. Today, we want to talk about; “The one God will use”. This teaching will be divided into two parts, we will consider the first part today and continue next week.

Dear brothers and sisters, let me tell you that God is an investor, Matthew 25:14-15 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like this. Once there was a man who was about to go on a journey; he called his servants and put them in charge of his property. He gave each one according to his ability: to one he gave 5,000 gold coins, to another he gave 2,000 and to another he gave 1,000. Then he left on his journey” (Good News). God has a lot of resources at his disposal and in his mercy, he gives these resources out to his children for increase. Also, God is rewarder. Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (KJV). Our God rewards those who work well with the resources he has given them when they come with huge profits as seen in verses 20-27 of Matthew 25. However, he frowns at anyone who fails to bring in profit.

In the same vein, God is on a long journey and He is coming back. Let me explain myself so that I do not preach heresy or confuse you. You see in Matthew 25:14 that we read earlier, Jesus presented himself as a man who gave his servants money before he went on a journey and in John 14:2 he said; “There are many rooms in my Father’s house and I am going to prepare a place for you. I would not tell you this if it were not so”. Here, he promised us that he was going to prepare rooms for us with his father in heaven which was confirmed in Acts 1:9 as he was taken up to heaven in front of his disciples. Therefore, this is the reason why I said he is on a long journey and we know he is coming back as Rev 22:12 says “And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” (KJV). God is coming back from his “journey” to see the progress we have made with his investment and to reward us adequately.

Furthermore, God as a good investor is always on the lookout for people who can adequately manage his resources with great output. Acts 13:2 “One day as these men were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.” (NLT). We can see that God called out Barnabas and Paul for the special work he wanted to use them for because he knew they would bring in great yield. Therefore, the next thing we will consider having understood that God is an investor who wants great yield is; who will God use? God will use those with the following attributes;

1. God will use the one that has answered his call. Rev 3:20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” (NLT). Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, God has put out a call to everyone because Jesus died for all. If you accept his invitation and submit your life to him, you automatically have a call and become an instrument in the hands of God for his work.

2. The one who listens and obeys God. John 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” (NLT). God will use anyone who listens to him. Anyone who seeks to hear from God before taking any step and most importantly, the one that obeys what God is asking him or her to do, not minding how difficult it is will be used by God.

3. The one who is passionate about the spread of the gospel. 1 Cor 9: 22-23 “When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. 23. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.” Here, we see the passion of Apostle Paul by doing all he could as a human to get people to listen to the word of God and bring them to Christ.

4. The one that has faith and pray and fast. Matthew 17:21 “But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Amplified). Another criterion of being used by God is being a man or woman of faith. Someone who knows that with God all things are possible and someone who goes to God every time in prayer and fasting in order to get plugged to the power of God without getting tired. Luke 18:1.

5. The one ready to die to sin. Rom 8:13 “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” (KJV). Anyone who belongs to God and shuns the flesh and its deeds by living in the Spirit presents his or her life to God as a living sacrifice Romans 12:1 will be used by God.

6. The grateful one. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (NLT). The one that will work for God is one that gives praise to God at all times. S/he does not take the glory of what God is doing through them, neither do they fail to acknowledge God in all situations whether good or bad.

7. The disciplined one. 1 Cor 9:27 “I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself be disqualified.” (NLT). This is an important aspect of being used by God. Based on the little that I know, God will not use a reckless man, anyone that God does not trust cannot handle huge tasks for him. Everyone striving to be used by God must be disciplined in their thoughts, actions, way of dressing and in their service to God in general. They must be willing to bend to he will of God at all times and never entertain sin in their lives.

1) The former lacks power while the latter is powerful.

But this however, was not the case so many years ago....The consciousness of this change in women to satisfy their desires and appetites for SIN, was brought about and revealed by the presence of the SPIRIT in BELIEVERS. And this type of sin, was not in the LAW.

Giving to Moses, by the same one and only living God, on the same mount sinai. You failed to give the Scriptural definition of sin. Sin has been defined in the Scripture. Are you saying that sin is not an activity? Are you saying that an act which is sin today may not be sin tomorrow?

How can you be freed from the Law and still have the Law in your heart?

What are the "old ways of the written Law"?



Actually, you didn't explain anything. On one hand, you said that you were freed from the Law. On the other hand, you said you had the law in your heart. How could you be freed from the Law and still have it in your heart?

I never denied this, to begin with, since I made it clear to you even from a previous post that one first has to prove worthy of Jesus Christ before receiving the very Spirit of God, just as Jesus Christ Himself declared several times throughout the Gospel. Jesus Himself declared that one first has to believe in order to be saved... meaning only those who believe will be saved from Death.

In fact, one first would need to receive the Spirit of Truth before receiving the second Helper, the Spirit of God, and this again, according to Jesus Christ.
According to Jesus Christ, there are two Spirits - His Spirit(Spirit of Truth) and the "another Helper", the Spirit of God the Father.
