Lmao!!!
Sorry jare. I think congratulations are in order. It's possible eligibility is still under review. Mine was even after i got approval update.

All the best man.
Thanks harde, because it was so surprising to me, as I wonder why my eligibility and background check is still running on my cic account and yet VFS Abuja sent me a mail that my application was dispatched yesterday to them.. I know one thing for sure, this CIC people are quick and happy in telling someone your application has been refused..this is great suspense as I wait for the courier

If you didn't do medicals upfront and you probably used paper route, I'm afraid it may not be good news.

You didn't give sufficient info so folks here may not be able to guide you out of fear of misleading you.

Best wishes.
I did upfront medicals and it was passed wishin 10 days.. I Applied 16th July at Abuja. Paper route.

Doesn’t say much than your paperwork is intact and no misrepresentation found and now file has crossed from one department and been sent to a VO for decision. Best wishes as your fate is decided in the next few days/weeks.
Okay thanks chief for the info.

If time for resumption is passed and CIC hasn’t reached a decision on your application, you can defer. By the time they get to acting on your application, if they want to approve you, they will request a new LOA. Best wishes to you!
Thank you sir! Am sure you have seen a case like this tho.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by kingfintan: 6:30pm On Jul 31, 2018
mcobex:
The steps to take is as follow:
1. Contact your school and tell them you have applied for your TRV but yet to get a decision from CIC
2. Ask them what's the deadline for resumption? cos some schools give 2 weeks after the official resumption date for students to resume.
If by this time you still don't hear from CIC
3. Ask your school about deferring your admission and the next session for you( not all courses have January or May intake), so you school will advise you on that.
Hopefully before all this you will hear from CIC
Thank you mcobex, I was only asking tho, I know I would be approved before resumption! .. thank you brother
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by kingfintan: 5:12pm On Jul 31, 2018
Please house, I would like to know what happens if one does not get his trv in time, let say an applicant is to resume on the 5th of September and on the 10 of September his application is still in progress, what will happen? Is it possible to defer to January then contact cic that you have deferred your admission to January and that you have a new LOA.. will they work with that or they will just take their decision base on the Fall admission.

Substance is what will win out, worry less about protocol and changes to your online profile. If your review of eligibility has been started, this is good news only as per the fact that your application is processing fast, but it’s is neither an indication of good or bad as per the decision that would be made on your application. It could go either way. That said, it seems Lagos has been moving lately within a few days to update medicals to pass for those who submitted there paperoute. Two other people who applied there have reported so, but all two wrote to them. You are the first who didn’t write them, but they updated within a few days. I won’t worry about it if I were you, I will pray!
Thank you jnyuwa02 for this.. I think am more relaxed now..thanks tho with the good work here.

mcobex:
So you would prefer it takes CIC 22weeks to update your medical? Did you apply with the "other" people you are referring to? Stop comparing your app with other people's and thank God you have passed your medical. No two apps are the same. Best of luck
Thank you mcobex, was just curious tho. Thanks bro

This is the problem, too much of these things leads to unnecessary anxiety. But if it means anything, i feel those things would add to your application, especially for the fact that they are relevant, coming from two people that matter and they even addressed some major concerns of the VO, provided you have not said anything contradictory.

Relax abeg and don't overwork yourself, the application has been sent anyway so what exactly do you want to change? Leave it! Pray and hope for the best.

Cheers mate!
Thanks bro! I will just remove my mind and pursue other things in life.. what gonna be will be.

Ratawu:
These letters may not influence the VO's decision unless they explain certain areas in your explanation to VO's concerns to your refusal. The only thing that can boost your chance is how well you address the concerns raised by the visa officer in your gcms notes
Thanks ratawu for responding to my issues, actually, the professor in Canada, actually wrote on the relevance of the course, how it an excellent fit for my previous academic qualification, employment prospect, recommendation, telling the VO he strongly advice them to approve my visa as a genuine student.. as for my lecturer here in Nigeria, he tackled how the course is needed here in Nigeria and all.. am just afraid, I shouldn’t have added them..the letters look cool, but just scared the VOs might see it another way! I tried to tackle the reasons I was denied tho..have not seen anybody collected letter from school.. mo gbe ooooo
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by kingfintan: 4:44pm On Jul 16, 2018
Gurus in the house, I was denied a visa in early June, but today I re-applied for my study permit as it took me one month to write my SOP and LOE.. I want to ask if visa support letter from a department chair who is a professor has any significant or effect on one’s application.. As I got a visa support letter from the Head of department(chair) in Canada and a senior lecturer from my school in Nigeria addressed to the embassy to support my application after I told him I was denied.. I have six weeks left before school resumes.. I want to know if anyone has gotten something like this before.. hope they wount see it as sign of desperation..

Professurr:
What are my chances of getting TRV with an application for admission into the 2 years B.Ed program?
To my opinion I will suggest you go ahead and apply if you want to, all you need to do is try and convince the VO on why you need the propose course and how it will benefit you and complement your previous studies. You are regarded as a second degree student and that is why you going to finish in 2 years rather than the standard 4 years.. there is a guy here who is my friend, his study permit was approved on the 8 of June this year, he was going for another bachelors degree and to be completed in 2 years. So write a convincing SOP. It might fly for you. Just my suggestion tho.. ire oo

Hello house,
Please how long does it take to process a Canada Study permit? And please can I still apply? I'm to resume this September. Thanks
I will advice you put up the application this week! Though the processing time is 9 weeks but many have been approved of their trv in less than 7 weeks.. so just take your shot and try, am also submitting this week. Ire o

Sorry bro, just gather yourself up, and from the statement made in your gcms it obvious that your sop wasn’t too strong and convincing enough, as you didn’t convince the visa officer on why you really want to do this course and career goals. Try to write a very strong sop addressing g the issues raised by the VO then re-apply. You would be granted this time.. am also waiting for my gcms so I can refire.. ire o
