Everyone has their opinion towards this issue of SOP and LOE.. as a matter of fact I believe so much in it, it was my weapon, I wrote 6 pages, almost 7 pages, it was like a text book lol, then LOE was around 4 pages or so.. tackling each problem raised by the VO with proof..

My stake on this is, write an SOP, and if you have been denied before write an LOE too.. you never can tell which one they might read, definitely they will read one between SOP or LOE..

I remember one of the Gurus sayiing some days back that its not necessary to submit both SOP and LOE, wanted to counter that, but I just kept mute and also saying an SOP of more than 3 pages wont fly, that It will bore the VOs, I Thank God for ur Testimony bro, it has proofed that it is not bad submitting both SOP and LOE. And to those about to apply, especially the ones refused before, You can write both SOP nad LOE. We all know the content of an SOP, then for LOE, this document is simply to counter Ur previous refusals no matter the number of pages, byh proofing and convincing the VO, It shall end in praose.. Congrats Once again Bro, ur testimony is a motivation. And safe journey on ur trip to Canny.

What I did was to write a more convincing SOP, and wrote LOE to tackle the refusal reason in my previous application, And then I wrote to my Head of my department of my proposed course in Canada about my denial, he wrote a recommendation for me, stating my seriousness and reasonableness of the course.. then I collected a recommendation letter from a professor too from my previous university here in Nigeria..

But really it was God who did it..

Finally my correspondence letter has arrived, and would be in Canada by nextweek for the fall session..

I was denied in June, applied for a second degree which some gurus in the house discouraged me not to go for, that I should go for a masters or something higher, despite having a 5 years engineering degree here in Nigeria 3 years ago.

I re-applied with faith without using a gcms note to tackle the reason.. I just wrote 6 pages of SOP and another 4 Pages of LOE together, and today I was approved of my visa(3 years) from the Kenya witchy witch VO, they denied me before.

Whoever has been denied before, please re-apply till you get it, because you will surely get it.. do not let anyone discourage you, go for what you want and back it up with good application and prayers, you will come out victorious.

I pray for everyone here who is waiting on their decision, you shall all be approved IJN, frustration is far from you.. please pray always, as prayer is the key..

I fasted for good 9 days with no food, just Garri and water.. but I knew after that, the lord would answer me..

I want to thank everyone one here who has contributed so well, and those who criticized me, you all made me strong.. and I can’t wait to always see good news here.

Paper route applications comes with the correspondence letter in a sealed envelope with your passport. If you're unable to find it in your MyCiC account, you can email the Nairobi Visa office, and it will be sent to you within 24hours.

I used same admission letter, and I actually paid my first year full tuition fee.

What was the course u study in naija before, and what are u going to study in Canada now? Then why not 4 years program in Canada and did u pay for your tuition fee...lastly did you still uses the same admission letter u got from the school again after u were refused in the first time.

I saw studied Materials and production Engineering in Nigeria, then my intended course of study is Applied Disaster and emergency studies.. it 2 years for me and not 4 years because the school recognized my first degree.

I received my GCMS note after I have re applied.. because I was behind time.. so I just tackled the generic reasons given in the refusal letters.. I received my GCMS note days after my re-application.

I think like 2days ago some people here said VO can't give approval to second degree that u can only apply to something higher than your first degree...they called it academic progression or so...

At dinho10 please don’t let anybody discourage you, I applied for a second bachelors degree which is also called second degree, and it was for 2 years, but they gave me 3 years visa.. what I know is that apply for something related to your previous studies, and make sure you are convincing enough as why you wanna go for it..

I want to say to the gurus of this great thread that I am very sorry for what I did, I learnt so much from this forum, even after my first refusal, I was encouraged here to apply again.. I really appreciate everybody on this thread, you guys are really Great.. what I did was just to let my mind at rest, because I was preparing for the worse.

I will also try my contribute to this forum in anyway I can..

I pray that everybody waiting for their trv would be approved this week in jesus Name..

Quick one, your eligibility review when it's started,did it at any point went back to processing?

Atall my eligibility started on the 7th of August, and I got a message from VFS on Friday that my passport was ready, mind you my cic account was still reading eligibility review and background check. Though my visa shows my it was issued. On that same on the 7th of August.

This is my second attempt.

Brandon University Manitoba
2 years Applied degree in Applied disaster and emergency studies..

SOA of account of over 35k US dollars, sponsors are brother and mother.

Brother is a professor in a university in USA with 35k US Dollars
Mother’s SOA of 4Million naira.
Paid first year full tuition fee of 9,000 CAD
Honestly I am tired of this people..
I don’t know if I should change school, or change my program to PGC.. can’t go for a masters as I graduated with a 2:2 from Engineering.

Mehn this stuff is not about the SOP you write, it just God’s favor.. My SOP was written by a top professor in the USA who happens to be my blood brother and with the help of some gurus here too..

Please house, can anybody recommend any school that offers PGD in engineering course or safety course, and the tuition fee is not more than 9,000 CAD.. I will appreciate this house.. am tired of googling..

Yet got a mail yesterday 10th August and today about my passport being dispatched from Abuja to my house(courier) by VFS

Sorry House am just so tensed as I have never seen such case before since almost a year I have been on nairaland.. has anyone seen such case and was approved.. because my mind wan explode even as the passport is on transit. Gurus i have come to notice that paper route that last upto 7 weeks, there is high chances of approval than someone who get response in less than 3 weeks or a month..
