Three Senators belonging to the All Progressives Congress (APC) have resigned their membership of the ruling party.

The lawmakers are Senators Ahmad Babba Kaita (Katsina North), Lawal Yahaya Gumau (Bauchi South), and Francis Alimikhena (Edo North).

Whilst Babba Kaita and Alimikhena defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Gumau, on the other hand, defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The notice of their resignation and defection was contained in three separate letters read during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, on Tuesday.

Babba Kaita’s letter reads, “As Senator representing Katsina North Senatorial District, I write to formally notify you of my resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), and registration declaration for the Peoples Democratic Party.

“My resignation from the APC was born out of the marginalisation of critical stakeholders by the State Government and Leadership of the Party in Katsina State, where small people like me do not have a chance.

“I have since been joyful and graciously accepted into the fold of the Peoples Democratic Party in Katsina State.”

On his part, Senator Alimikhena, explained that his decision to resign from the APC was a result of a “continuing and multifaceted crisis that has bedeviled the APC”, especially in his Senatorial District, “that has created parallel executives that has undermined internal discipline, cohesion and focus.”

The defection by the three lawmakers reduces the total number of APC Senators from 70 to 67 in the upper chamber.

Atiku’s only achievements as Vice President was senseless looting. Tambuwal has achieved nothing so far as Sokoto governor. Bala Mohammed is just there with nothing to show. Peter Obi Pandora cannot point to any single enduring legacy of his time as governor. Yet, you all are abusing Wike who has an enviable record of achievements in office.


As for me, Wike has my vote already. He’s a performer and a fellow southerner. The presidency must come to the south in 2023 so I support him fully with my chest.

Senator Rochas Okorocha has declared to run for presidency in 2023 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Okorocha made this known in a letter to the Senate President which was read by Ahmad Lawan at plenary.

He said he will address a world press conference on Monday 31st January 2022 to officially declare his ambition to contest the presidency.

The owner of DAAR Communication, and the Chairman Technical Committee for Abubakar Atiku Presidential project, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has denied saying that nobody from South East could be President in 2023.

Dokpesi who made the denial Monday in Umuahia, while addressing the leaders of the People Democratic Party, PDP, in Abia State, said his opponents fabricated and peddled such “bloody lie” to pitch him against the Igbo.

He said most of his associates come from the South East, and that he had used his personal resources to defend the Igbo cause.

Dokpesi said that he never granted any interview but only held a private chat with a friend but regretted that an eavesdropper quoted him out of context to blackmail him.

” I don’t have anything against the South East. I never said anybody from the South East can be President. Bloody lie! I never said so.

” I used my platforms – AIT and Ray Power Radio to cover the lifetime of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, and other Igbo sons, at no cost but my own cost. I gave them free airtime that runs in millions of Naira.

” In 2014 National Conference I stood and defended the South East for the creation of additional two states. All the meetings were held in my house before we went for consensus on the floor of the Conference. My best friends and associates come from the South East.

” I have my greatest respect for the South East. I believe there are many qualified and capable South Easterners who are qualified to lead this country.”

Dokpesi also said he had provided an opportunity for the Biafra agitation movement to defend itself, contending that the struggle was due to prevailing injustice against Ndigbo.

” Often I have created a platform for IPOB to defend itself.

” I belong to the school of thought that believes that IPOB is not doing anything wrong. Their actions were borne out of injustice, out of neglect, and out of the incapacity of the present President; his absolute failure which started in 1985.

” He has neglected the South East and those wrongs have to be corrected at the right time.”

Dokpesi later took the All Progressive Congress APC- Government of President Muhamnadu Buhari to the cleaners, saying Nigeria is bleeding as a result of Buhari’s maladministration and incompetence.

” Buhari is a big failure. He is incompetent and incapable; he is a low visionary and doesn’t understand the sensitivities of this country.

” That is why the country is on the verge of collapse. NIGERIA is so divided now than never. Did they not say that by the end of this year our debt will be about N50 trillion?

” Nigeria is bleeding and at the brinks of collapse. As PDP we owe this nation, ourselves, and the future the responsibility to rescue this country.

” We have to come together as one people. We must not allow the evil forces to totally ruin the future of our children.

” I will not sleep well in my grave if I fold my hands and fail to act now. Don’t leave me alone in the struggle. Let’s support Atiku Abubakar to rescue Nigeria”.

Dokpesi who stormed Abia with other members of the Atiku Presidential project team said that the former Vice President “is well educated and prepared” to re-fix Nigeria if given the opportunity in 2023.

Responding, PDP Chairman, Abia State, Rt. Asiforo Okere welcomed the team and expressed hope that comes 2023 God would redeem Nigeria from misrule.

He described Atiku as a great man who had played a key role in the development of democracy in Nigeria.

Adding his voice, former Chairman of PDP in the state, Dr Ndidi Okereke, said Abia was open to all aspirants from anywhere, promising that the party elders would later take a decision after due consultations.

Other party chieftains including former Deputy Speaker, Hon. Emeka Stanley; former State Chairman, Benson Ezem, and former PDP State Women Leader, Nnenna Obewu; said the leaders of the party would discuss and take a position on the matter at the proper time.

The Chairman of the Technical Committee for Abubakar Atiku Presidential project, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has declared that Atiku if voted into power in 2023, would vacate office after only one term of four years to pave the way for Nigeria President of South East extraction.

Dokpesi who made the declaration Monday in Umuahia while fielding questions from newsmen after consulting with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Abia State, said the former Vice President “remains the shortest way” to actualising the Nigeria President of Igbo extraction.

He enlisted the support of Ndigbo for Atiku who he said was coming to, and had the capacity to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, and rescue Nigeria from total collapse.

”Atiku is the surest bet; he is the shortest cut to a South East Presidency. The truth is that he will be about 80 years then. We only need him to rescue Nigeria now.

”We are confronted with heavy challenges as a nation. Once we lay the foundation for restructuring and for pushing Nigeria forward, then he will exit. He is not coming because he is hungry but he has an agenda, and the agenda is Nigeria.”

Dokpesi vowed to go naked and if after one tenure Atiku failed to cede power to the South East.

” We are in a grave situation in Nigeria. We need to unite. We need to take power from these impostors that have ceased power and ran Nigeria aground.

” If I’m alive till then I will go naked in one man march if South East is not given the presidency. I will put my life on the line. I will never be silent.

” It’s a matter of timing. Those clamouring for Southern presidency now are APC governors and they are doing so for selfish reasons. Buhari has never respected the equity provision in our constitution”

Asked why he felt the South East had to wait for Atiku’s completion of one tenure before going for the presidency? Dokpesi yelled: ‘win-ability!’

He said:” Bala Mohammed report said two zones need to be assuaged and the two zones are the South East and North East. Which of the zones can easily wrestle power now?

Asked how certain he was that Atiku would be willing to relinquish power after only one tenure if elected, Dokpesi said he would be compelled by party discipline”.

Nnamdi Kanu is a human rights activist, not a terrorist. The Nigerian government must release and compensate him.

If there is anything an Igbo man Hates the more, it's the Progress and Success of his fellow igbo.

We have been clamouring for "Freedom from Marginalisation" as we labeled it, but many igbos have been shot dead in Southeast for opening their shops on Mondays.

Last Monday at one village in Anambra, the shops of over 10 people were burnt to ashes, and two guys shot in the head all because they opened their shops on Monday.

At least, when Fulani Herdsmen were "Killing" us, they never asked us to Sit At Home on Mondays of all days.

They never Burnt the Businesses of the people trying to survive.

They didn't snatch vehicles from any igbo man.

Fulani Herdsmen have vacated most parts of the Southeast, now we are dealing with our holy "unknown Gunmen".

Ndigbo in General are battling with a very Big and Mighty Enemy, the name of that Enemy is NDIGBO.
