Na wa oooo. How can Osimhen win best player of the year and best attacker of the year ahead of Paul Onuachu who had 29 goals (in the league), 4 assists and 7 motm last year?

Or ahead of Kelechi Iheanacho who scored 19 goals, 8 assists and with more than 2 motms?

Was it by the 10 goals, 4 assists and 2 Motm Osimhen had last that made him win those categories or na by pure undiluted sentiment?

Because me I no understand oooo.
Good questions you raised here.

But I think he is not the right person you should ask. Ask the people who voted him as the best attacker

My 2 cents though.

We didn't have to be at our best best to beat Sudan, but, watch Rohr make a prime Brazil out of this same Sudanese team of he were still in charge.

I expect at most changes to the lineup against Guinea.

PS: Danielnino, I work with a radio station at Abakaliki, I may be able to help with the publicity of the Nairaland award. Tell me more about it.
Thanks for wanting to help out with the publicity.

I'm sure he is going to get across to you with respect to that soon.

Rest abeg. Not every player will break the mold in 15 minutes. Osimhen that is your favorite now didn't do well in more than 15 minutes he played at the last Afcon. In fact he was given a run of games before he repaid our faith in him
This your here and now can only be used by a wise man as a guide but a foolish man will use it in a rigid way applying it across board to all situation and then use it to kill off the potential of some players who only need just some bit of time to get going.

You think like Rohr. Too formulaic, too doctrinaire. At the end he was booted out.
His favorite??

Na because him no de AFCON o. If Osimhen is in AFCON and starting na komekn go tell you say na another person suppose start.

No follow him mouth o

The top goal scorer in the Swedish league is a 26 year old Nigerian.

But somehow not a mention of him Samuel Adegbenro here he has 17 goals in the league this season and counting. However, there is lot of talk about Amoo, who has not done as much as him..

The double standard and favouritism is not even hidden.
Did he play yesterday?

He was only mentioning those who played yesterday.

And since his return, I think that is only the one he has dropped.

I'm sure if Samuel Adegbenro played yesterday, he would have mentioned him too.

Guy de hide some of this your slide now or better still mention him when others do not mention them.

Abi did you commission him to be mentioning players performance during their matchdays?

Asked if he was impressed with Iheanacho's goal against Egypt, Rodgers said at Thursday's press conference : "It was a brilliant strike.

"I thought Nigeria looked really good, looked really structured in the game, good organization and you can see the players of quality they have in the team.

"Kelechi has proven over this last twelve to eighteen months he can score goals. Great spin and finish, I'm delighted for him."...

Even if it was a foul, it won't have been a penalty..The foul happened outside the box..Moreso, the player wasn't goal bound...

The Egyptians were just being petty...
I think there is a contact too.

I checked the replay that Basco dropped and even though Simon was outside, his hand that caught the foot of the Egyptian was inside the 18yard box.

Next game, I would say we send most of our starting lineup to the bench to rest them against future games. We should be able to dispatch Sudan without our starting 11. I think a front three of Ejuke-Sadiq-Simon should do the job. Onyeka should play alongside Nwakali or Aribo. Ndidi is indispensable. Backline too should not change, with Ajayi replacing Omeruo if necessary.
One of our players need to clinch the highest goal scorer before Zuchy will continue clamouring for Ighalo to be recalled.

I think our best players should all start except those having a knock.

For the first time in recent years, we played well and got the commendation of many individuals across borders.

Hopefully we get to do it all through the tournament and bring the trophy home for our 4th which is long overdue.

Long Live the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I take your analysis with a huge pinch of salt. I think your prejudice is coloring your views.
I rarely accuse commenters with prejudice or hate but how come you criticizing Sadiq who came when we were doing more of defending than attacking and praising Semi Ajayi over Omeruo who had a superb game? Why wouldn't Ajayi do more when as a defender he joined in to strengthen our defense against the Egyptian attack?

Semi the foreign born over the naija born players abi? There's a disturbing pattern which is congruent with your manifest live for foreign born players over local players.
I think his expectation plays a role on his bias.

If you go through the comment, you'd find him saying he never expected that from Ajayi, meaning he doesn't even watch these guys but have a fixed mindset that they should play this way and that's what he's using to judge Sadiq too.

I think that's why most commenters here usually tell him to watch players first before writing comments about them or he should stick to the EPL players since those are the players he watches more.

Let's assume collins doesn't make it to the camp and zaidu sanusi is injured, who should play the left back perfectly?
Any of Aina or Ebuehi can play back up.

Aina plays left back very well while Ebuehi have played the position for SE before so they can be drafted in.
