The disgrace that will come with the truth should make individuals not to indulge in falsehood but nah, they'll still go into it.

On another note, I believe despite the growth of our players in Europe, I feel we are missing a gold mine because the current people running our football are lazy. They are just in the business to harness what they want.

I will give you an instance.

When Christian Chukwu was appointed coach of the Super Eagles, at a certain period he was on break, he carried out a screening camp for players in feeders of our local clubs.

He went about watching matches of feeder teams and collecting phone numbers of players he saw with potentials.

Then after drafted a list of players from them and invited them to a camp in Ogun State, at Otta to be exact.

One of the players from Sharks FC feeders then made the cut. He said the first thing Coach Christian Chukwu taught them was endurance.

He said he brought axes, machetes, shovels, rakes and other farm tools. Measured a large piece of land in something that looked like a forest and told them to carry out a bush clearing work. (It is football they came to play)

He said they worked all day for days, clearing bush, raking, with not much food to eat. He said after about a week plus, they were done. Well raked pitches, wide and fresh.

He said, they rested, and keep in mind, feeding was not easy. They were supporting themselves and the coach was doing his best too.

Then he gave them a thorough lesson in total-football. He said for days, they did more of theory than field work. They only did intense jogging every morning and then lessons.

By the time they were ready for the field, he says it was nothing like he had ever seen. He said, he learnt things he did not know about football like breaking defences with triangular passes, etc. He said you will pass ball until it became second nature of you. Pass and move.

He said, unfortunately, Christian Chukwu got sacked during their program and he believed if the coach had finished with them, they would have done wonders. The coach wanted to use them for one of the friendly games.

What I am pointing out is that, there is so much work to do in Nigerian football, but this current set have showed extreme laziness. No grassroot work, no grooming of future players. We just wait for players to break through in clubs or some foreign player to do well and pledge allegiance to us.

I hope we pick up from where we are and shoot for our potentials.

I think most of this coaches should get an Academy where they can groom young talents and showcase them to the world through friendlies and YouTube posting of their trainings too.

If not for this your post, I wouldn't have known about this.

But I agree though funds might be a limiting factor to them but with the backing of NFF, a national training camp can be organized better than what an individual will be able to do.

Even with little opportunities our home boys get and the racism they suffer abroad they are still more gifted. I root for my own and if somebody has a problem with that, I can't help them.

More gifted I understand, that may be your preference but are they better in the position?

I think merit for each position should supercede whatever bias one may have.

The issues people are having with Rhor is because of his bias towards his players (if he is the actual person picking them) and you too it is okay to have your bias but where merit isn't considered even in bias, one tends to fail.

We are taking here of those who put together the money for building of these schools not even being mentioned as shareholders, let alone benefiting in any way , and here you are suggesting they work even harder to afford that which they invested in the building of?

They were fleeced by the churches in the name of God , this against God's own commandment - Ezekiel 34 vs 1 - 16 and John 10 vs 1 - 16 .

The major thing in schooling is mostly not about the building.

The payment of staff salaries are there, maintenance of building, power provision and so many other expenses are required or do you encourage the members to keep contributing to maintain the recurrent expenditure of the school's too?

Giving as the Bible enjoins is to be done willingly and cheerfully and guy e get the kine money wey you go get and all these things no go freak you.

But where I'll find faults with the schools and the members inability to afford them is if they start declaring outrageous profits.

As much as we know that some churches are overdoing some of these things, let's look at a part wholistically.

The area of building schools in particular.

It takes a lot to maintain school businesses that is why the fees of private educational institutions both secondary and tertiary are higher than their public counterparts.

That is why it is necessary to work hard o so that you fit afford anything and everything you wish and not be swayed by the poverty mentality of contributing to building schools and not be able to afford to attend

I can tell you that over 75% of students in lower levels who sit for these external examinations do so to guage their level of preparedness for the main ones and not to gain access to higher institutions.

If it is for the purpose of higher institutions, they will usually take utme same period but they don't.

I agree that skipping a class isn't ideal though

How about the examination bodies that post profits too? You mean they still get government subsidies on these examinations and still post profits?

The only thing I'm aware of is state governments paying the fees for their students and not the federal government subsidizing the fees.

They can test their preparedness in the confines of their house. Their schools can hold mock WAEC for their third semester exams. FG should not be paying for these exams. It is an unnecessary cost.

Most SS1 and SS2 pupils who write these external examinations at that level do so to test their preparedness for the examination.

Most of them still end up doing SS3 because before the result comes out, the next session would have resumed.

I think they should also ban the writing of Primary School leaving certificate in Primary 4 and 5 if that is the case.

This measure won't solve anything. They should let those kids be!!!
