Carbaby007: My 2007 M35X has one one the best headlight systems I've ever had, well a little bit better than my 2008 Accord and way better than my 2007 Camry.
It uses HID for low beams and fog lights and the full beam is very powerful. I rarely drive with full beam. Except I want to blind incoming drivers at night.
Same with the G35 1st Gen 2006. I rarely used the high beams. I used the low beams and once a while I used the Foglamps (the fog lamps use the dame exact bulbs and housing for high beams and they're extremely bright).

onlinediva: Luxury cars are more exclusive models that offer greater comfort, performance, equipment, social status, and amenities, and are much more expensive. They could come in the form of large vehicles, look sporty, and be compact hatchbacks. Their paramount quality is simply their high style, with modern components. Automobile companies usually have a division dedicated to their luxury brands.

ABOUT ACURA
Honda also has its own luxury brand, popularly known as Acura. Acura was the first Japanese luxury vehicle to be created and was launched in the U.S.A. and Canada in 1986, making it the first Japanese luxury automotive to arrive there. And just as Honda has, Acura has remained an epitome of sophistication and excellent performance ever since. It has been refined over time, but it has never lost the touch of creativity, style, and confidence that Honda vehicles are generally known for. Its aesthetics and sporty style are always second to none, and its performance and efficiency are always excellent. As its name implies in Latin, it has been built with precision to provide its drivers with both comfort and thrill.

COMPARISONS BETWEEN LEXUS AND ACURA
Unlike what so many people believe about luxury cars, they are not a waste of your money. Luxury cars have been designed with excellent features and properties that vividly match their price. They are two or three times more than what ordinary vehicles will fetch you. Let us briefly examine the features that the luxury Lexus and the Accord possess, individually, in comparison with one another.
Lexus is ahead with its exclusive infotainment system, Lexus Enform, which offers a full-colour touchscreen display, unlike Acura and other luxury brands. It is more driver-conscious. It gives you access to several apps just like your mobile phone does. It streams audio media, navigates through its options, checks weather forecasts, scans the stock exchange market, and so on, and Lexus is the only car with this.
Acura's proper touchpad infotainment system is nothing to write home about, as many users have noted. It is not convenient for drivers, and its interface is not easy to adapt to or learn.
One of Acura's recent selling points is the newly developed airbag with an uninflated cradle that protects the driver's brain from injury during accidents, a feature not found in Lexus or other vehicles.
On the other hand, Toyota hasn't been so lucky with airbag production, especially for vehicles manufactured between 2010 and 2017. First, there was the problem of airbags exploding, and although there was a recall to fix the affected cars, it is nothing compared to Acura's new airbags.
Lexus cars have a touchpad interface that looks like a laptop's touchpad. This control interface allows drivers to interact with the infotainment system conveniently and access other secondary systems, including adjusting the car seats. This feature helps the driver to stay focused on driving without distractions. This touchpad is pretty intuitive, too, as it uses swipes and gestures just like our mobile phones, making it relatively easy to use and comprehend by just about anybody.
Quite similar to this is Acura's accurate touchpad. It is intuitive, displays apps for use, and uses gestures for indications. However, it is not as vast, easy to use, or practical as Lexus' touchpad.
Lexus offers free services that keep you updated on traffic and weather conditions, as well as other relevant information, unlike Acura, which charges subscription fees for these services.
Lexus and smooth driving go tete-a-tete. Their advanced engineering ensures a soft, peaceful, and comfortable driving experience. Some models, like the L.S., have a different mode-drive system that allows its suspension to move, thereby giving the driver a smooth ride.
Honda is all about high performance, and this doesn't exclude Acura. It also has an engine, suspension system and driving mode options to show how well Acura performs. It also has an S.H. all-wheel-drive system that provides traction when driving conditions are not ideal. Unlike Lexus and other vehicles, Acura's all-wheel-drive system also adjusts to ensure all four wheels work perfectly and the car achieves maximum performance and agility on the move. This super all-wheel system is the first of its kind.
Lexus offers a comfortable experience second to none. Much effort goes into designing a Lexus' interior for you to always feel at home in it. The high-quality interior, clothes and accessories, technological equipment, and state-of-the-art features ensure you get the best experience ever in a Lexus. We all know how creative Honda can get with its brands.
Acura has a sporty exterior and a well-built interior. Its features are technologically standard and up to date. They, however, do not depict luxury so much and cannot compete with Lexus's look.
Both Acura and Honda are known for their durability and reliability. But then it is already a fact that Toyota makes more reliable and durable brands, and yes, this includes the luxury brand, Lexus. J.D. Power and Associates has given Lexus the most dependable Vehicle award for seven years in a row. It has high-quality and robust engines, making Lexus vehicles reliable and durable.
Many Acura models offer enough cargo space, unlike other luxury cars. So, while it is spacious enough to contain up to seven people, there is enough room for cargo and luggage. On the other hand, Lexus may not brag about having as much internal space and does not guarantee enough cargo room like Acura does. Acura gives more comfort on long trips than Lexus does.
Lexus is so fuel-efficient that you will never have to spend much on refuelling. The best fuel mileage across the luxury vehicle market is Lexus Hybrids, which are about 40 MPG. Acura is also reasonably fuel-efficient, helping you minimise fuel costs, especially with models like the ILX. It has a VTEC engine that ensures the vehicle performs efficiently while consuming little fuel.
You do not need to worry about reselling these two Luxury vehicles, as their quality is relatively high. Their value never leaves. While Lexus only loses 40% of its value after five years, Acura loses 48% over the same period. However, Lexus has a higher resale value and is often named the Best for Resale Value in Luxury cars by Kelley Blue Book, which annually confirms this. Reselling a Lexus is relatively easy, fast, and priced reasonably.
Having examined the distinct features and characteristics of both brands, which would you pick? The Acura or Lexus?
The bolded is false. If you're referring to tarkata airbags, its not a Toyota and/or lexus thing. It affects alot of manufacturers, including VAG, BMW, Honda, Acura, Dodge, GMC, Etc. You may wish to read up about tarkata airbag issue to understand more about the issue and quit blaming toyota for this issue.
Also, Volvo has in the past 25 years recalled millions of cars for airbag safety issues. Don't take my word for it, go research more about it.
ophili: What could be the reason why it shifts hardly "making sound like something hit the car" when moving from gear 2 to 3 in slower motion, however one may not notice it much if the pedal is pressed hard
Have you scanned the car to know what causes such?
You need a scan tool to know why it does what it's doing.
sultaan: We all know that a 29 years old 406 will sound a lot faster in the car than it actually is moving and a lot of these modern RXs in Nigeria are on 4cyl
A 4th gen RX isn't slow. It is a v6 or a 6 hybrid.
Please wondering what could be issue, corrola makes a loud sound while driving, while accelerating, moment speedometer read 30 upwards,I've checked exhaust, no issue.. Has normal sound starting, not until engage movement and acceleration gets 30 upward..
I can not tell what's the reason behind the noise unless you bring it let me diagnose and carry out test drives to isolate the noise origin.
For your deluded mind, a 26 year old relic with 2.9L V6 doing 204hp at the crank can utterly demolish a 2016 RX with 3.5L doing 300hp at the crank with lesser drive train losses due to better efficiency and modern technologies?
Did the lexus driver know you were trying to race him?
NobleEngineer: Pls can somebody tell me why brand new oem thermostats aren't easily accessible for direct purchase in nigeria like walking into a shop and buying it sharply
Some are depending on the car make, year and model
drweb001: I plan to buy honda ridgeline 2011 cause of bad road leading to my place. Is this a good buy. I'm getting a Nigerian used. Will be going with mechanic, however what should I watch out for. Thanks
Don't go for a 1st generation ridgeline. They're known to rust out terribly. If you must, ensure it's not rusted
egestarch009: I use a 2004 Ford Taurus se, It always misfiring 3 months after changing plugs and servicing the nozzles. Though I have it converted to cng which I use simultaneously. What should be done to at least extend this 3 months period.
Discontinue the use of the CNG for the mean time, and observe what happens then report back.
Former Super Eagles coach Festus Onigbinde passed away on Monday, March 9, at the age of 88. Onigbinde was Nigeria's first indigenous coach, having first handled the national team between 1983 and 1984
Iamdiamond01: Good day fellow Nairalanders, Please I need help,I just bought this Chevrolet Aveo 2010 Nigerian use though the car is very sound and I have done the necessary servicing of the vehicle but I notice the car consume too much fuel for a 4plug.Imagine a 20k fuel from sandfill Oniru to Ikotun and I’m already on empty tank and also it displays a hold sign on the dashboard which I have tried to turn off beside the gear but it doesn’t go off.
Have you scanned the car completely to know what's the cause of the 'Hold' or the cause of the abysmal fuel economy?
If you invite a girl to a date, she brings her friends and community, ignore her, choose the finest girl from her community or her friends and make sure you spoil the chosen girl silly in front of the girl.
kingreign: Scan and post codes here lemme help you out. I'm sure it's gonna be front brake solenoid malfunction code inside the transmission.
ophili: Thanks guys for your inputs, I was able to fix it last year, someone worked on the valve body. I'm just seeing all the responses now...
It's would be nice to keep the thread alive
Front brake solenoid was the problem. The electrical line pin that controls the front brake solenoid on the valvebody was broken and needed to be soldered. That was exactly what happened.
