Good day house,
Are there Infiniti Fx35 users (2003-2008) in the house?
How is your SUV treating you in terms of mechanical Reliability, electrical Reliability and fuelling cost especially this subsidy removal era that we are in?

I want to check something...

There's no such thing as an INFINITI with bad electrical systems. If your INFINITI is experiencing some electrical problem, blame it on you and your electrician.

Mechanically, they're very good cars as long as you take care of them and don't abuse them.

You need diagnosis to know what's wrong with the steering. Your car uses electronic steering. It's not fuel pump pls.

Hello house, @Gazzuzz @Jceesquare @kingreign

My friend mistakenly connected his car battery terminals wrongly. Immediately, headlight came up, stayed, then he disconnected the battery. We interchanged the terminals thereafter but car showed no sign of life. Please, what's likely to breakdown in the car? What's going to be the possible cost of repairs?

The car in question is a Honda Accord 04.

Blown fuses and/or relays, he should check these, if all is okay, he should check ECM.

Car Talk / Re: Lexus 2004 Gx 470 Giving Me Problems by kingreign(m): 7:39am On Mar 25
covgrace10:
Bought the car Nigeria used last year, and since then the car have been having several faults and problems.

First it was steering problems. I took to a mechanic he said it was steering rack. I bought a new one, serviced the car, bought power steering oil. The steering became soft but started leaking power steering oil. Changed the hose severally . It will stop and starts leaking again.

Called another mechanic, bought hoses to fix it. The leaking stopped but the oil started stirring up once the car starts, and the steering starts making noise when you turn the steering.

The car drinks lots of petrol and doesn’t run as it should. We have serviced the nozzle, ejector, and filter. It helps after doing these things but still when on the highway once it gets to 120 speed it slows down as if it looses power.

Honestly, the mecahics that have checked are doing guess work and still haven’t fixed the problems dealing with the car.

Any Lexus specialist that’s on Nairaland that has dealt with Lexus issues and can help fix the car.

Please reach out to me on WhatsApp.

No I didn't ooo,
I didn't even check physically before buying cos of distance and time,I just sent someone to go check and when he confirmed I paid.
I called the dealer,he is saying one sensor close to the bumper bla bla bla...could be the cause.
I don't know if I should trust what he's saying.

I dey Abuja, I'm into pre purchase and post purchase inspection which I'm sure you know, you na my guy, you suppose holla at me say you wan make I check something and I'd do it for you before paying for the car. It seems the car was involved in a collision and probably flooded. To begin with, run a full system diagnosis on that car, pick up every code record them, then run a VIN check.

The seller would definitely deny knowledge of the problems the car is exhibiting.

Exactly my thoughts too, i dont think it will be a burden on fuel for me.
Afterall i was using a V8 engine just a few months ago and the price its going at a very cheap price.

Fuel economy is the most insignificant factor here. For such engines, you need them to reach optimal operating temperature and that they're not ran few minutes which will in-turn cause challenges.

My house to the office is less than 5km.
I move from the house - office - church and thats the most of my movement. So i dont cover several Kms

You do not need such car. Get a small economic city car. It's better for you.

Can't believe I skipped that important part in this our fuel crisis era. That's very correct.

Just be doing regular service and you'll absolutely be fine.

All the best!

Stop pls, this isn't true. 2GR-FE consumes less fuel when compared to the 3MZ-FE.

Nazgul:

Converted or changed? Cos all Camry muscle come in automatic transmission. (I stand to be corrected tho)

To your question, 3m is outrageous for that car. It's obviously giving the seller issues that's why he wants to get rid of it. Meaning that after paying that 3m, you'll still spend hundreds of thousands of naira on mechanics to make it road worthy. It's not worth it.

Look for other brands like Honda, Kia, Nissan, Hyundai...etc. I'm very positive that you'd get much cheaper offers there than this scrap they want to sell to you.

Some are with 6SP manual, but it's rare in American specs

Vehicle is v6 engine.

I learnt gear was converted, so it drags a little before picking up.

Body is 65% with tinted glass, reverse camera, leather upholstery interior and touch screen.

AC works too.

Me and my husband live in Nigeria. I traveled over from Australia to be with him. I saw people selling dashiki at the markets and thought they looked very comfortable. But I did not know that wearing it could mean something offensive In Nigeria if you are white. Should I not wear it? I don't want to disrespect anyone

It is not offensive, in fact, I love seeing other races adorning our native attires.

My Camry 2007 V4 consumed 65 liters of Fuel and ran 408km between 24th Feb till today. Please is this economic enough for the engine or I need to take the car for inspection?

It is. But you didn't give information on the city you drive, or if it's mostly highway driving, mileage of the car and other parameters.

I just replaced the battery and I don't think it's my alternator bcuz if I am driving and park for just 40 minutes the car will still start but once it stays idle for more than 2 _ 3 hours then it won't start again

Where's your car located?
If it's in Abuja, feel free to book an appointment

Good day pros in the house,Please what could be the problem of a 2008 Mercedes 4matic,after packing the car for 3 hours and over the battery gets drained and won't start again until I jump start it again

Check for parasitic draw or voltage leak, if none, check alternator for voltage, if fine, replace battery.

Good morning everyone.
I own a Camry 2008.
It has a fuel tank size of 70L.
I noticed it consumes too much fuel.

On a full tank till the amber fuel light, it did about 190 miles and that’s like 11 mpg compared to the 25mpg -30mpg as recorded by Toyota.

I have no check engine light
Spark plugs intact
02 sensors working too.
Catalyst intact too.

What could be the problem?
This worries me a lot.

I await your response 🙏🏾

Your car's location is?

Anybody with a scanner in Mainland (Alimosho) Ikotun should be please come to my rescue, i need a recommendation for a good electrician around me or able to conveniently travel to me (I mean not too far from me because most i can get now are kinda too far and it's not convenient for them). I also need a recommendation for the type of scanner to buy so i can own one myself to avoid these kinds of issues next time. Getting someone around me to come scan the car has proven to be a difficult task, imagine getting a good electrician. Gurus in the house please drop contacts to call, i'm happy to cover costs. The car is FX45 2006 .

DM, I know someone in Igando, Akesan. If you're okay with booking an appointment with the person, fine.
