Difficult to drive in the morning after starting car. If I try, car becomes slow and I hear like a wheezing noise ..like a rotor or fan belt noise struggling to roll.

But if I start the car and leave the engine rubbing for around 20 minutes, the car will move smoothly. Drives very well after it has warmed up.

Sometimes but not always, while driving, there's a slight delay during gear change.

Check CVT fluid level, also scan for codes.

So, I had a problem with my car air conditioner a month ago. Took it to a so called technician here in Benin and he stated it was the compressor. As a result, I had to change the compressor and condenser and flush the system. This was done and ac started working. 4 days after, the replacement compressor packed up again. I went back to the ac guy who now said my car was overheating and damaging the compressor. I wasn't satisfied with this diagnosis so I went to another highly recommended ac guy. New compressor was bought along with another condenser and system was flushed and installed. Ac started working again. One week after, the unexpected happened and ac compressor died again.

At this point, I was confused. Having spent over half a million naira on AC components. All ac technicians kept suggesting that I convert the car to a manual compressor and save myself the stress because automatic compressors never work. I researched on Nairaland and found Mosbus. I called him. He strongly advised that I not convert the car to a manual compressor and tried his very best to diagnose the issue from Lagos. He was very selfless in trying to provide a solution to my issues remotely. I then took the car back to the ac technician and a third compressor was ordered from Lagos. Same process. this worked for just 4 days and died out again.

At this point, I was frustrated and I made a decision to drive to Lagos to meet MOSBUS. This is the best decision I made. Mosbus is not only super talented with air conditioners, he also has all the necessary diagnostic tools and equipment for a modern day car ac system. He recommended a brand new compressor and condenser upon inspecting the car and took over 8 hours to clean the system. Whole job took 2 days and car was back to normal. Its been 3 weeks now and car just works perfectly. In all the time spent at his workshop, he was professional, detailed and thorough. I asked a lot of questions and he answered every one of them.

If you are on nairaland and you have a problem with your Car AC, find MOSBUS, you ll be glad you did! Whatever you do, do not convert your car to a manual compressor or to a Peugeot compressor which all this kazeem ac technicians recommend daily.

Vehicle must had lived a very harsh tough life in snowy regions where salts were used to thaw the ice and the previous owner didn't bother washing the underbody. It's a huge risk driving in that state.

Is it in Gombe or Bauchi state?

I’m having an intermittent issue with my car and need help diagnosing it.

The car starts normally and drives fine at first, but after some time on the road, I suddenly lose acceleration. When I press the accelerator, the engine is still running and RPM stays low, but the car does not respond or pick up speed properly.

If I turn the car off and restart it, it goes back to normal and drives fine again for a while, before the same issue returns.

You didn't mention the year of these cars you are interested in.

At 8m, you'll most likely get a Nigerian used cars, but becareful of the Ford edge. Its an odd child of the group.

Don't change just the head or cup, change completely assembly full complete shaft that has not been opened. Whether tokumbo or brand new. If brand new insist on Japanese or Korean or Dubai brand.

I changed the two front shaft of my 2005 Camry 3 months ago because it's making "clicking sound" but now the passenger side is back with the sound even with slight turn and I was told the one I bought earlier is fake.

Go back to your mechanic, you should have him change the shaft with complete brand new or direct tokumbo shaft.

My car was misfiring before. So I scanned all and error code signified I needed to change all coils which I have done. It stopped and has started again. Scanned it but no code.... Decided to change all plugs and service d nozzle. It was good but after 2 days it was back to misfiring again . I drive a Toyota Camry 2010 4 plug

Have another mechanic check it all over.

Please, just got a Toyota Corolla 2011 with mileage of 140,000miles. Last service sticker says 0w-20 Castrol. I once read where late gazzuzz recommended Mobil 1 5w-30 high mileage but where to get original is the ish.
@kingreign. You've got idea if gazzuzz auto is still in the business of selling these items? You have idea of how much it'd cost? What other variant of 5w30 can I opt for should I can't get the High mileage model?

It's a very complex car to own and repair. Parts are not cheap, repairs aren't either.

If you intend to drive occasionally, it's just fine, but if you intend to push it the way the genuine prado 2TR is meant to be punished, you made a mistake. The specs and tolerances aren't same a the genuine Toyota and the specs and tolernaces aren't consistent and quality isn't stringent as toyota own stringent quality.


For clarity sake, there's a whole series of video by Donugut media when they bought a 2JZ for $2,000 from China and did a quality control inspection. You can watch it on YouTube to understand what you bought.

I have Toyota Camry Big Daddy which has been giving some concerns whenever i engaged the gear to drive, it delayed for about 2-3minutes before it after it selects well. I have top up the gear oil. This issue has been on about 1 month but i planned to visit my mechanic this May 1st.

Have you scanned the car?
You may also need to check if the transmission filter is blocked or if the transmission sump has been pressed inwards.

My steering wheel is very stiff. I have changed power steering oil yet no way, the oil keeps pouring away.
The mechanic said it was steering rack and it was repaired. Yet the oil is still leaking and steering is stiff.

Check the car using a scanner.
Then Check if the throttle fuse or relay is bad, if not bad, Check if the throttle pedal sensor or throttle body is okay. If any is bad replace it. If none of them are bad, Check your ecu
