I'm not a novice when it comes to technology. this story is crap. he said his phone barely lasts four hours on continuous usage and it got so bad that he had to start using a power bank? that's another lie. At worst I get 6hrs SOT on my A7pro and on a good day it goes up to 8hrs+ because of the recent software updates. if u don't like Umidigi, you can leave. no one is forcing you to stay

Bro, don't be quick to find fault, this particular person messaged me personally about his issue on telegram, his phone bricked without him even rooting or anything, he then tried using spflashtool to revive it which many pple also suggest on this thread and ended up bricking it more. If not for privacy i would've uploaded his chats. People's devices actually die from nothing, when the telegram group started we saw reports of people whose devices died unexpectedly and this was before rooting was even possible on this device. Yes, some people damage their devices themselves, others just happen.

That is you. As for me, I'd rather shuttle between Umidigi, Xiaomi and Samsung. Nothing would take me back to transsion devices. Umidigi is better than those recycled things. Even the display of tecno phones put me off. The LTPS display of the Umidigi devices are much more attractive

It hasn't been tampered with. In fact it's very rare to decide on who gets admitted via just the exam alone.
I know someone in a particular set that scored highest during exam but was dismissed during oral for not meeting up.
After exams there will be oral interviews in most cases and credential checks. All these will be considered plus overall performance. Let assume only 5 people out of 50 applicant scored above 60 and cut of was 60, does that mean they are the only ones to be admitted or even assume out of 50, 40 scored above 60 and cut of is 60, will they all be given admission?
In this first result, I scored 55 and wasn't recommended but I learnt the highest score was 65 and only 3 person had above 60 surely I knew I should make the list.
After interview and all, I went to the department to check and my name is in the list.
So follow up with your department and get to know what the processes are.

What about those who haven't seen their results online? How can they follow up with the processes without knowing the outcome of their exams? I saw my result but I have some friends here who haven't seen theirs. Why are they holding onto people's results?

I must admit that Unilag is one of most useless schools in Nigeria. they removed people's results from the portal without any credible explanation and they're telling people to proceed to their departments to complete admission processes. people who were recommended but didn't see their results now would have no hope of seeing them again. even if the results are eventually reposted, they can't be trusted anymore cos they've been tampered with. quite shambolic!

there's an app in your phone that's using up the cpu resources. it's not letting your phone sleep. what's the phone model? and did you root your phone?

Yes, all I did was to charge. Unless, I am not meant to charge the Umidigi phone when it goes down.

prior to that moment, no lagging issues, no abnormal issues. The only app not from play store installed on the phone was Proshot app from lexusg430 (wasn't really using it cos of ease of usability). It was charged at voltage surge protector point.

so? Bring the blame let me know where I am at fault.

yours could be a faulty unit from the factory if truly you are saying the truth. apart from this your case and few others, most people are at fault when their phones get damaged

Well said. Each brand got there shortcomings, and also each brand got there own fan base. I v used tecno , infinix and itel but I must say I have no regrets migrating to UMIDIGI...

Still waiting for official announcement of the A11 pro

Pls if you have used or are currently using either UMIDIGI A7 Pro or A9 Pro, pls talk to me about the front cameras. Are they as good as they seem?

I will be needing to take a lot of pictures and make videos especially with the front camera for online marketing and my budget matches with them.

How good and quality are they? I hope the front camera video is immediate not slow and sandy?. Pls you can also upload sample photos and videos if you can so i can relate better.

I use A7pro and the camera is nice. I'm always confident taking pictures with this device cos I know they would turn out really good. the only thing I hate about the camera setup is that slow motion mode which is too grainy so I don't even bother using it at all. the A9pro is better when it comes to camera because the Sony sensor on the A9pro is better than the Samsung sensor on the A7pro especially in low light.

I don't even use Tecno or INFINIX. I hate both brands with passion. I've been using no other brand than Xiaomi for over two years. But truth be told, Transsion, despite their shortcomings, are still better than Umidigi.

over 2 yrs? I thought you used Umidigi recently. guy I don use Tecno and infinix before even itel sef. Umidigi is better. cos u saw lots of complaints here that's why you just concluded. most of those people won't tell you what they did to the phone. I remember when I used a Samsung phone some years back. it went off and never came on again. I lied to the repairer that it went off by itself but within myself I knew that I was playing game with the phone when plugged to the socket for like 5hours. the phone was so hot and it turned off. I see lots of people rooting their Umidigi devices especially on telegram. I just shake my head because the phone OS could become corrupted and just turn off suddenly. if u don't like Umidigi, just move on. 3 of my colleagues in the office have been using Umidigi devices for 5months, 1yr and 7months respectively. they have never complained about anything infact they usually tell me that the display sharpness on the Umidigi devices surpass that of tecno. it's not by force to own a Umidigi product

Just glancing through this thread, and all I see is dead panels, faulty screen, and so on.

That was how a friend called me last year and asked if I could help him. An Umidigi device he just purchased had developed a screen issue.

Moreover, this brand doesn't even have a software skin they identify with; just shunning out stock android skin with little to no extra features.

I'm not here to market other brands. I've used over 5 Xiaomi devices in the past two years, and I can confidently tell you that even Tecno and Infinix are far better than this Umidigi.

I later installed the software update. the installation took a while to finish. I've not seen any noticeable difference so far. the security patch is now March 2021 and some google apps have adopted new icons. more updates coming soon...
