Ahh Nkoli, can't remember the last time I heard that name. But the Nnuego name is an interesting one. The meaning is deep, it's like a preservative to wealth or something that gives taste to wealth. Imagine a soup without salt... Imagine wealth without the salt to taste.

So many names are going extinct, I think they need to bring them back. Okwesilieze and Ezekwesili sef nobody dey answer again, Nwokedi, Iheukumere sef these are the names of people I grew up knowing make we rest from Chinedu, Chidera, Chijioke, Chizoba, Chinaza, Chinenye, Chikamsu, Chidimma, Chimamamda (this one still dey confuse me till now)

So, salt is an adjective to describe something as sweet/pleasant.

However, I'm not sure I have heard something like that before. Maybe you are mispronouncing it. But there is no doubt something like that might exist ..cos igbo names(especially females) before 2000 are so different from what we have now. And back then, people give names based on their dialects...and realities/life experiences. Nowadays, names be like general market. Every state and villages share same names.
