In a move that has stirred public debate, the Zamfara State Government has allocated a whopping N1 billion in its 2026 budget for the construction of ultra-modern cemeteries across all 14 local government areas of the state. The provision — coming under the Ministry of Religious Affairs — has raised eyebrows, especially given the ongoing insecurity and frequent deadly attacks in the region. The new cemeteries, according to the budget document, are meant to provide dedicated burial spaces for communities, but many residents argue that the timing and priority of such a project leave much to be desired. Zamfara has seen a string of violent incidents linked to banditry, including deadly ambushes in villages like Kyaram and Gwargwaba, where several lives were lost in recent weeks. Critics of the move have questioned whether allocating such a large sum to burial infrastructure makes sense while insecurity remains unchecked and basic services like healthcare and protection of lives are still major challenges. Some residents have described the plan as symbolic of misplaced priorities, arguing that more investment should go into security, healthcare, and community protection rather than planning for mass burials. Supporters of the budgetary allocation, however, say the government is simply preparing for the unfortunate reality that comes with prolonged violence, and that dignified final resting places are important for families who have lost loved ones. With armed groups continuing their operations in rural parts of the state, many communities remain on edge, hoping for stronger security responses even as preparations for cemeteries go ahead. Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton have gone public with their relationship, making a bold and unmistakable statement at Super Bowl LX. The pair were spotted sitting together in the stands, visibly close and completely unbothered by cameras or curious onlookers. Their appearance instantly sent social media into a meltdown, confirming long-running rumours that had only intensified following their much-talked-about Paris getaway earlier this month. Fans who had been piecing together clues online finally got the confirmation they’d been waiting for as photos and videos from the game went viral within minutes. Kim and Lewis appeared relaxed, affectionate, and fully in sync, with their body language saying far more than words could. For many fans, it was the clearest sign yet that the relationship is serious and no longer being kept behind closed doors. Both stars are no strangers to high-profile romances. Kim’s love life has long been closely followed by the public, while Lewis has kept much of his private life guarded despite his global fame. This public outing, however, signals a clear shift — and a willingness to let the world in. Super Bowl LX wasn’t just a sporting spectacle this year; it also became the stage for one of the most headline-grabbing celebrity reveals of the season. Neither Kim Kardashian nor Lewis Hamilton has issued an official statement yet, but their appearance together told its own story — one fans believe confirms that whatever started quietly has now entered full public view. With cameras rolling and the internet watching, one thing is clear: this is no longer speculation. The Kardashian–Hamilton era has officially begun. https:///2026/02/kim-kardashian-and-lewis-hamilton

In a recent video from 13:43 shared on Facebook on Thursday, February 5, 2026, Niger Delta activist and Kalabari chieftain, Asari Dokubo, spoke on the presence of American troops in Nigeria, describing their deployment as part of a coordinated effort to tackle insecurity and banditry across the country. According to Dokubo, “I will join Americans in tracking down these people for the good and safety of Nigeria,” a statement he made while addressing concerns surrounding the involvement of U.S. forces reportedly sent by President Donald Trump to support Nigeria’s security operations. He explained that his position is based on cooperation rather than submission, stressing that the American troops are working alongside Nigerian authorities and not acting independently. According to him, any support aimed at confronting bandits and violent groups should be welcomed if it respects Nigeria’s sovereignty and command structure. Dokubo noted that insecurity has caused immense suffering for ordinary Nigerians, particularly in rural communities affected by banditry and violent attacks. According to him, extraordinary challenges sometimes require collaboration, especially when such cooperation can help save lives and restore stability. He further stated that his willingness to work with foreign partners does not contradict his earlier warnings against forceful or disrespectful intervention. According to Dokubo, the key difference lies in consent, coordination, and respect for Nigeria’s institutions. The Niger Delta activist also emphasized that local knowledge and intelligence remain critical to any successful security effort. According to him, those who understand the terrain and the people must play a central role in identifying and neutralizing threats. Dokubo further stated that the ultimate goal of any collaboration must be the protection of Nigerians and the restoration of peace, adding that security efforts should always prioritize the safety, dignity, and unity of the country. https://africalevel.com/bandits-i-will-join-americans-in-tracking-down-these-people-for-the-good-safety-of-nigerians-dokubo

Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has stunned fans by announcing plans to divorce his wife to give himself the freedom to marry multiple women. Speaking at a watch party for his latest film ‘Aníkúlápó: The Ghoul Awakens’, Afolayan explained that his decision is influenced by his upbringing in a polygamous household. “I am in and out of court seeking a divorce. I don’t mind the toll. So I can marry many wives now,” he said in a video that has since gone viral. CREDIT TO HIS FATHER'S LEGACY Afolayan attributed his personal and professional success to the example set by his late father, who had ten wives. “Without my father, there wouldn’t be a KAP Village or even Kunle Afolayan. I am the seventh child of my father because he had ten wives,” he said, urging men to consider marrying multiple women. He added: “For the men, marry many women, or rather be involved with many women. You know why? If my father didn’t, he would not have born me, and that is the honest truth. But today, a few of us are lifting his legacy. Life is short, death is constant. Nobody has life forever. Everybody has a period. Use your period.” His statements have since sparked heated discussions on social media, with many pointing out the stark contrast to his previous stance on polygamy. CONTRADICTION TO EARLIER VIEWS In a 2021 interview, Afolayan had openly rejected polygamy, citing the difficulties he witnessed growing up. “I would not want to marry many wives because my father had 10 wives, and I knew what happened throughout that period. I knew that really distracted my father,” he said at the time. He also highlighted the challenges his father faced managing a large family, which included 25 children. Language and cultural differences, he noted, made it difficult for the family to bond fully. Despite this, Afolayan’s recent statements suggest a shift in perspective, crediting his father’s choices for his own achievements.
