UK is introducing new laws next year so take note.

hello, mate. how is the hustle going over there. I've got some few questions.

how reliable is it to apply for the UK visit visa through travel agents? what are the pros and cons?

how does an immigrant with visit visa cope with trying to work? how do they go around it. what are the challenges?

will be expecting your replies soon. thanks and take care.

There is nothing called an immigrant with visit visa. It is illegal to work with a visiting visa and you become an alien. You will only do jobs with limited or no career progression. Jobs like security, cleaning, etc. And you will need to be registered under someone's name if you work with proper British companies. However, if you work with Indians or Nigerians, they may be happy to pay you peanut of the payroll. Just know that you will really give a lot if you decide to proceed with this.

Nigeria is tough so I can't even say why are you leaving to become illegal in another country. But do weigh your options cause you will end up working more hours daily to be able to gather enough. You will not no the impact of that now but this countries have been built to ensure aliens don't really do well other than leave from hand to mouth.

Between UK post Brexit will be a little tougher on immigration cause they won't have to follow EU rules. This could mean easily sending aliens back to their countries. Unlike in the past, they are unable to stop and check people's immigration status cause of EU concerns.

Go to the Head office in VI. If they don't have the one from CBN then ask if you can get from the BDC it is at the HO. The difference in the rate is N5. If your flight is still in at least a week get the guys responsible numbers and call them daily to find out if it is available. I applied there last month and it took a week. I did same with both StandChart and UBA and all 3 of them called me after a week.

Thanks bro. Stanbic do not have. I don't have accout with Standard Chartered Bank

If you have all the documents (Visa, return flight ticket) then go to Stanbic IBTC, Standard Chartered Bank, UBA if you bank with anyone of them. Stanbic is almost a Guarantee. GTBank hasn't sold since March.

You should send them a mail. https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

The paid email works better as there is a TAT to access the performance of the HO. With the email if there are no concern with your application you should get your visa before the end of November.

Hello,

I submitted my documents and application online on the 20th of July 2020.

I did my biometrics on the 18th of August 2020 and I've been waiting ever since.

Today is the 59th working day without any feedback.

Yes you can. However, until you complete you Master's it doesn't add any point to your score. If you have all the relevant information to get ITA then you are good to go. By the time you finish your Masters you won't need the PSW Visa.

Good day guys, please I wanted to ask this troubling question; I am resuming my MSC in the UK by Jan, but I want to migrate to Canada from there, I spent all I have on the UK MSC program. Can I do the express entry from the UK along side my wife and child??

Your application is still within the timeline, unless you paid for priority. Completing this is as good as escalating a delayed application. I would suggest you wait since they already said it is being considered.
StephenC300:
Hello House,

I did the paid email escalation and I got the response below:

"Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision.

If it has been over 15 working days for non- settlement applications or 60 working days for settlement applications, please provide the following details:

Full Name
Date of Birth
GWF number
IHS number
Passport number
Place of submission
Type of Visa applied for
Date of biometrics
Nationality
E-mail address used on application:"

Mine has been over 38 working days now. Should I still respond with my details even though its been less than 60 working days?

The BDC is at the head office. Walter Carrigton VI
Santa2:
please i need clarification. Does stanbic have a BDC asides from their regular banking operation?

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Kinpelz(f): 11:26pm On Oct 06, 2020
Check with stanbic IBTC if you have an account with them. You can also try their BDC. The rate for their BDC is 391 to a dollar

Please, which bank is giving PTA? I have approached a number of them today and they keep saying they don't have.

Banks are not giving PTA for one way ticket at the moment. Even return ticket are finding it difficult. So far Stanbic IBTC is the most likely option.

No, there's no requirement for Covid-19 test for entry into the UK. A friend came in on BA 2 weekends ago and wasn't asked for one; my mum who came in on Virgin Atlantic 2 days ago wasn't asked for it either.

Good afternoon guys,

Please for those traveling to the UK soon, is there any requirement to do covid test?

I am travelling with BA and there is no requirement from the airline for this. However, I have heard people say they were asked at the airport. Please anyone with information on this?

I am that person since February 16. @chaRloBass and I are just 2 days apart. He did his bio on the 14 and just picked up his passport today. I think yours will be done within the normal timeline depending on the service you selected. I would advise that you keep your mind busy even though it is difficult.

Just got an email that my passport is now ready for collection. For anyone in a similar situation or know someone having the same issue, you can escalate through the paid email. It works and I feel sad that I didn't use it on time. My spouse and I called the homeoffice 5 times spending over £150 on the call with no progress, proper feedback or escalation. I used the email escalation on the 4 September as advised by @chaRloBass and it worked. I have seen 3 people used it and get response within 1month.

Best wishes to everyone
Thehilah4jesus:
wooow!!!! February It is well. I hope you get your passport back with visa ijmn. Thank you for your response, am trying to distract myself but it's not been so easy. The process is grueling but l remain hopeful. I look forward to hear your good news cos it will cheer me up if l get a positive news for successful application. I wish all of us the very best of luck.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Kinpelz(f): 4:27pm On Sep 02, 2020
Not yet. I am already tired of waiting and very angry with entire process but there is nothing I can do.

I wrote them a complaint and they responded with the below. I also got same email that my application has been referred to colleagues...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for your email correspondence of 6 August where you have raised a complaint stating that you submitted your visa application on 16 February and were told a decision had been made, when you contacted the Decision-Making Centre on 6 April, but you have still yet to receive your passport.

I am unable to uphold your complaint.

The Sheffield Visa Team have advised that a decision on your application was completed and notified to colleagues at the British Deputy High Commission (BDHC) in Lagos, in March. Regrettably, however, they were unable to release the decision to you, due to the COVID-19 lockdown, and have now asked to be sent a newly-dated decision.

Unfortunately, as the application is over 90 days old, it is likely that the decision will need to be printed within our UK office and sent securely to BDHC Lagos.

I regret that I am, therefore, unable to provide any timescale for the return of your passport and decision.

Whilst I appreciate that this is not the response you had hoped for, I trust it has helped to clarify the situation
chaRloBass:

Hi Kinpelz, have you received any update on spouse application i.e UKVI or TLS correspondence?

If the person is not married at the time the application is submitted, then it is SINGLE.
gsk4reality:
Please nairalanders what is the appropriate response when asked if you are married on the UK Visa application page? Lets assume the applicant is single but hopes to get married before traveliing?

Good to hear. The last time I heard from them makes me wonder how long it will now take to conclude an application. A decision was made on mine since early April.

Thehilah4jesus:

They have started getting back to people cos l know 3people who applied and did their biometric here in Nigeria and got their visas approved last week so hopefully more good news of spouse visa approval will continue in Nigeria.

Please has anyone who applied around February before lockdown heard anything from Vac

Thanks

Submitted on 16 Feb and did biometrics on 24 Feb. I guess now that the VAC is opened for passport collection things would start progressing.
ODOOA:
When did you lodge your application?
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Kinpelz(f): 2:10pm On Jun 07, 2020
I inquired about the status of my application in April and got a response from the decision making center that a decision has been made but there may be delay receiving the decision due to Covid. This was on April 5 and since then nothing has happened.
ODOOA:
Has anyone who submitted an application before lockdown heard from Home office?
