COALITION OF SOUTHERN DELEGATES DECIDES ON CONSENSUS CANDIDATE.

Ahead of the Saturday's National convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, a coalition of all the southern delegates have endorsed the Candidacy of Hon Emma Enukwu as the Deputy National Chairman South, of the party .

The resolution came after a thorough consultation with the leaders of the party from the South East Zone, which is the zone that got the position zoned to them.

In a statement made by the coordinator of the southern delegates forum of the All Progressives Congress APC (SDF) Prof Adesoji Adeoye, he stated that their decision to endorse Hon Enukwu was after a prolonged assessment of the 2 candidates from Enugu State, who are contesting the position.

He posited that, Hon Emma Enukwu has done well for the party and have the support of the majority of the stakeholders from his zone.

According to Adesoji, "We have agreed to support, canvass and vote for Hon Emma Enukwu"

"We made numerous analysis and consultation across their zone and believe you me, the stakeholders believe that he is the Right person for the Job"

"We have started sending signals and networking our members in all the 17 southern States, regarding this decision"

"We all know that 2023 is around the corner and we need people, who we can trust with our election wining strategies"

"Hon Enukwu did well as the National Vice Chairman, South East where he galvanised support for the party in a zone that was formally regarded as PDP fortress"

The Coalition of Southern Delegates also called on all the party delegates across the Nation, who wants the party to progress, to support Hon Eneukwu's Candidacy, as with it, APC wining more elections in South East, will become a done deal.


"We call on all the APC delegates in the 36 states of the Federation and Fct, to support Hon Emma Enukwu so that our great party can have a better outing come 2023"

After so many months of speculations about his gubernatorial aspiration, the member, representing Enugu North and South at the House of representatives, Hon Offor Chukwuegbo, has declared his intention to run for Enugu Governorship election under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

The 3rd time House of reps member made the declaration on Thursday at Sunshine hotels, Enugu in what seems to be a well packaged and managed event.

Speaking while making his intention public, Hon Chukwuegbo stated that, he has been interacting with people personally and collectively about his ambition.

He stated that, the corroboration between him, his friends,political associates on his governorship Project would make it a dream come through with the assistance of the almighty God.

According to him " i reckon, i have been interacting with most of you one on one, for sometime now; some, for much longer"

"In other words, for so many of you, we 've been Political associates, did one form of collaboration or another, together in the past, or met as school mates, long before this Governorship project at hand.

Not to worry though; as in all collaborations or partnerships, the return on investment is the bigger Picture; the justification!

You know the task at hand which is so which is to actualize our aspiration to succeed our respected incumbent leader and governor his excellency Rt Honourable Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, come 2023.

We are committed, serious and realistic in our aspiration as you know already.

However, we are not taking anything for granted, meaning, we have to do the needful and the needful in this instance, is to work hard as a committed, United team of PDP faithful, to give ourselves the best chance possible art the fort coming party primaries.

The power we seek, ladies and gentlemen and I am humbled you have bought into this since the inception of this project, is the power to consolidate and build on the achievements of the government of the day, the Ugwuanyi regime.

The power we seek, is to have the opportunity to add value, improve on services rendered to our folks, the power to continue to make government accessible to the people and make lives of Enugu people better.

We earnestly desire to continue to promote and sustain existing in our Communities and secure our neighborhoods.

We shall continue to provide enabling environment for government, people partnerships in areas of critical services like security, housing and so on; while providing attractive platform for entrepreneurs and business endeavors, to thrive.

Forget the naysayers, so much has happened, still happening in our dear state ;an indicative of prudent, sensible judgement in the application and dispensation of available resources by the incumbent government on the basis of needs.

We intend to do even more in this regard.

That is our mission, that is our vision for our state and our people.

And with God and all of us here present and other people of good will out there, United in pursuit of this Noble AGENDA, we can do it.

In his remarks, the Director General of Hon Offor Chukwuegbo Gubernatorial campaign organisation, Hon Chiene I Chiene Stated that the project is something whose time has come.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuany has done well and Hon OFFOR CHUKWUEGBO has all it takes, to capitalise on that, and make Enugu an enviable habitat to others.

He has grown through the ranks, has good family background as a prince, has business acumen as a successful business man, was a one time Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, A former Enugu State House of Assembly member, before the Federal House of representative, where he is currently doing well."

In their separate remarks, the immidate past Local Government Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area, Hon Monday Eneh, described Hon Offor as a known King not an anticipated one, as well as a hunter who makes good hunting always.

He stated that, it is a great privilege to be part of his Declaration event, and that he is confident that Hon Offor Chukwuegbo has all it takes to deliver; as he is a sellable Candidate".

The Special Assistant to the Governor on security, Prince Okwudiri Eko who spoke on behalf of Enugu West leaders, stated that, :the call for youth inclusion is Hon Offor Chukwuegbo becoming the next Governor of Enugu State .

He also stated that, Hon Chukwuegbo is a visionary leader, trailblazer and proactive leader ;whose leadership in Enugu State will bring the needed development.

He also opined that, he supports the Zoning arrangement in Enugu State and called on those trying to truncate it, to think First about peace and unity of Enugu before their personal ambition."

While giving the vote of Thanks, I the Head of the Department of Sociology and Staunch Member of the people's Democratic party PDP in Igboetiti Local Government Area, Dr Amadi Aroh Thanked God for giving and blessing Enugu with a gift in the person of Hon Offor Chukwuegbo.

He congratulated all the coordinators appointed across the 260 Political Wards in the state that would be working for the emergence of Hon Offor Chukwuegbo as the next Governor of Enugu State ; urging them to take the opportunity as a divine call to participate in the next phase of leadership in Enugu State..

Highlight of the event was the inauguration of the 17 Local Government and 260 ward coordinators of Hon Offor Chukwuegbo Gubernatorial campaign organisation.

APC CONSENSUS ARRANGEMENT FAVOURS ENEUKWU AS SEN KEN NNAMANI STEPS DOWN FOR THE FORMER NATIONAL VICE CHAIRMAN, SOUTH EAST OF APC

To ensure a hitch-free convention on Saturday, President Muhammadu Buhari and governors elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket agreed on a unity list based on consensus.

At a meeting held Early thursday at the Presidential Villa with 16 governors in attendance, Buhari expressed his preference for a former Nasarawa State Governor Senator Abdullahi Adamu as national chairman

A former National Vice Chairman of the party ,Hon Emma Eneukwu , was picked by consensus as Deputy National Chairman (South). Abubakar Kyari is the consensus candidate for Deputy National Chairman (North)

It was learnt that an agreement was also reached at the meeting that all chairmanship aspirants who stepped down would get a refund of their N20million nomination fee by the party .

APC South East delegates for March 26th National Convention have dumped Senator Ken Nnamani and drums support for Chief Emma Eneukwu.

This is owing to confirmations and opinions from the delegates across the 5 south Eastern State.

They have series of serious grievances against the former Senate President, who they said, have given them indelible injuries all through his stay in the party especially, as a South East rep in the National Caretaker Extra Ordinary and Convention Planing committee CEPC.

Information reaching us have it that, The delegates from Abia led by Ikechi Emenike, Prince Senator B .B Apugo and entire Abia delegates are plotting to revenge the scheming out of their brother as police service commissioner by Senator Ken Nnamani as well as his irresponsible role Ken played in case of H/E Sen Orji Uzo Kalu. Vs EFCC.

Those from Anambra are equally sad for the former Senate President and waiting for March 26th to give Sen Ken protest votes that will send him out of the stage because of how he factionalised the party.

The Ebonyi delegates on their own are saying thus " We cannot wait for Saturday to come, to enable us, cast all our Votes against Sen Ken Nnamani ;because, he was fingered in the case of PDP attempting to overthrow Umahi whom Ken sees as a political threat and enemy"

On their own part, Enugu delegates especially, those from Enugu East Senatorial Zone, popularly called "Ụmụ Nkanu" cannot forgive Senator Nnamani on the war of attrition he carried against Dr. Ben Nwoye and his complicity in the Gate Hotel bribe scandal that attempted to disgrace Nwoye out of office.

"He cannot go scot free, all his atrocities of sons of Nkanu Land, shall settled with massive Votes against him because, he is the nechadnezzar that we have"


Other Delegates went on to list the sins of Sen Ken Nnamani which includes ; harassing a First class Princess of Nkanu by name :Ada Ogbu ,fielding of parallel candidates against Sen Ayogu Eze and other APC candidates for 2019 General Election. His failed Attempt to remove Ugo Agballa after he won the State Congress as the State party chairman in an election, he Ken Nnamani organised. Super imposition of himself on the foreign Affairs minister & Ndi Enugu as the leader of the party and thus, using APC to strengthen.

However, the chants trending now is that :Sen Ken Nnamani must go and it has been the only Language APC Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra understands at the momemt.

Nevertheless, it has been discovered that, As a Zone ,South East APC seems to have unanimously rejected the Senator Ken Nnamani as They see him as a bully, and are working assiduously with other zones to give Ken a Political deadly blow that shall send him packing"

The front line runner for the position of Deputy National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Hon Emma Enukwu has assured all the party faithfuls that a more United APC would emerge after her forth coming National convention.

Speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja, after his screening by the National convention's Screening sub- committee, Hon Eneukwu stated that, it was a smooth one and stress free process because, the committee provided a serene atmosphere for all aspirants to participate.

He stated that, the Convention from his observation so far, would be the Best in the history of Nigeria's Politics; unlike what many especially, those opposed to the developmental strides achieved by the party in the whole of the federation; since her emergence and taking over of power, thinks.

According to him" The screening was a very peaceful one and all the aspirants were given opportunity to participate "

" What we do in APC is the Best democratic practice that you hardly see in Nigeria because, we believe in Politics of participation and inclusion"

As the Political season kick starts where betrayals and test of loyalty are measured, a known aspirant to the position of the Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC South, has been discovered to the stooge placed in APC by the people's Democratic party PDP.


Information reaching us currently is that, a renowned member of the All Progressives Congress APC representing South East at the National Caretaker Extra Ordinary and Convention Planing committee CEPC, will defect to PDP to act as the Vice Presidential Candidate to Atiku Abubakar.

An inside source reported that, the man who has been very instrumental to all the crisis rocking the South East chapter of the party, was the brain behind the failed third term bid of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo,which made him a close ally of PDP's Atiku Abubakar.


As a an CEPC member representing South East, he has been a close ally of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State who has been supporting him financially to ensure that he has the financial muscle to sponsor crisis in South East APC.

He betrayed the party in 2019 after negotiating for 25% with PDP only to sell the Votes gathered for APC and delivered his Ward and polling units to PDP.

Other reports have it that, Enugu State PDP Government, had promised to pick his choice candidate, who was a former permanent Secretary in the fct, as the gubernatorial candidate of the party should he succeed in destabilizing the party in the entire southern part of Nigeria.

Efforts made to reach to the former Senate President proved abortive as he refused to take his calls or reply his messages.

As the National convention screening sub- committee members of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC is set to screen all the aspirants, contesting for different positions at the forth coming National convention of the party, reports have started coming in that, a former Senate President from Enugu State, who is contesting for the office of the Deputy National Chairman South, could be disqualified Based on numerous allegations backed up with proves brought forward against him.

It was reported that, the said allegations are over 10 in number which were Based on Anti party activities and his membership of the Caretaker Extra Ordinary and Convention Planing committee CEPC.

Speaking with our correspondents in Abuja on Tuesday, on the condition of anonymity, one of the members of the screening committee from the southern part of the country told us that The barring any last minute change of decision, The Former senate President would face disqualification based on the information available to him


According to him "The Former Senator has been under pressure since Friday because, the evidences Available Shows that he is more PDP than APC"

"He has also been accused of working against President Mohammadu Buhari during his reelection and also factionalising the party in his State at different intervals using his cousin to divert campaign funds"

"There are also allegations that, palliatives sent to party men were sold by his aides living the party faithfuls to wallow in hunger during the outbreak of covid-19"

Another member of the committee from the northern part of the country in his own input, stated that, There are fears that, the party May face the issue of loosing her candidates in General election in the entire southern part of the country, if the Former senate President is elected into Office.

He stated that, as a member of the National Caretaker Extra Ordinary and Convention Planing committee CEPC, he is supposed to resign and allow another person, take over his position, which he did not do.

"As i am talking to you now, he will may not survive except there is a last minute change of Things which even if it happens, he would not win"

Temporal visitation of Hospitals to offset patients' hospital bills is a routine exercise for the Governor. Massive provision of hospital equipments and adequate medical workers staffing at the ESUT College of Medicine is worthy of commendations.

*Thou Shalt Construct Massive Roads and Embark on Housing Development:* Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has awarded and constructed over 800 kilometer roads within the rural and urban areas, pedestrian flyovers and mega flyover, especially the Historic T-Junction flyover at Abakpa Nike which will soon be commissioned by the Governor. Urban and Housing Development in Enugu State through the General Manager of ESHDC Hon Chuks Agu has done tremendously well. Enugu State can boast of over 3 million urbanization of people, excluding the rural dwellers, resulting to the influx of people from the neighboring States and beyond to shield themselves off danger in other States .

Under Governor Ugwuanyi, we witness over 80 per cent youths as Local Government Chairmen,80 per cent Youths as SPAs,70 per cent youths as SSAs, over 200 SAs and more than 100 TAs. This is unprecedented anywhere in Nigeria and probably in Africa.

It is no longer news that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will hold her National Convention on Saturday, March 26th, 2022. As the ruling party gets set for this epoch making event, tongues have started wagging on how the geo-political zones will handle the National Party offices zoned to them. APC as the ruling party has promised avalanche of members and the nation, a Convention to be proud of.This is understandable and expected, because as the ruling party, it must set the right tone to deepen our democracy because what concerns any ruling party, invariably, concerns the country.

After a painstaking distribution of National Party offices, the South East zone was accorded the slot of National Deputy Chairman, South. However, in political horse-trading, it is one thing for a particular position to be ceded to a zone, but it is entirely a different ball game for the zone to show total sense of responsibility and discipline to make the right decision. A lot of things come into play in factoring the plethora of considerations and permutations.What am I saying? The right person must be given the nod for the powerful position owing to the precarious political time the South, nay the South East are currently enmeshed in.

What would the South East gain if it simply walk on by, sleep or shoot itself in the leg, by not presenting a quality, tested and effective individual to the National Working Committee of the party? Very simple answer. The rest of the country, especially the Southern part will see us as not only a bunch of unserious people but also a race peopled by egotistical conservatives.This is very apt because, to the rest, if we cannot present someone of immense and glaring capacity for a regional position, what is the guarantee that, at the appropriate time, we are capable of churning out a President of the entire Republic? In other words, the test of the pudding is in the eating, meaning: something can only be judged to be good or bad after it has been tried or used.


And to be clear, quality representation is not synonymous with how old you are or what mouth- watering position you have held in the past, which maybe, made no bearing or inconsequential to the lives or well-being of the Southerners. If that's the case, why then should we honour you with another position? Worse still, how can any well meaning or God fearing individual use his current interim position to aspire for the same position. It is highly unethical and amounts to a conflict of interest. This has been the bane of many Igbo political elites and why the zone has experienced stunted political growth and progress.

Putting all these into perspective, one name that has resonated loudly, clearly and positively for the position of APC Deputy National Chairman, micro -zoned to Enugu state, is non other than the Udi born humble, gentle giant and a former National Vice Chairman, South East, of APC, Hon Chief Emma Eneukwu.

Ordinarily, Chief Eneukwu requires no introduction in the political firmament of South East or even the entire political circumference of Nigeria, but for the few people who may not be aware of his pedigree, it has become imperative.

In Chief Emma Eneukwu, APC South in particular and the National echelon, will have someone with capacity, overflowing patriotism and reliability, owing to the fact that his entire political stewardship has been in party administration and management. In 1993, shortly after graduating from our own University of Nigeria Nsukka, Eneukwu was elected as Udi LGA Party Secretary of the defunct National Republican Convention, NRC, a party in Enugu state that peopled the likes of Chief Hyde Onuaguluchi of the famous Hydro - Tech. Thereafter in 1997, after helping to form the Congress for National Consensus, CNC, he emerged the first Enugu State Chairman of the party, then, first Enugu State Chairman of All Peoples Party, APP, in 1999 and when APP merged with late Admiral Augustus Aikhomu's UNCP and metamorphosed into ANPP, Eneukwu was once again called upon to lead the party in 2002 in Enugu state. Still under the same ANPP, he was the Chairman of all State Chairmen.

Chief Emma Eneukwu aspired to run for the National Chairman of ANPP in 2007, but backed out after the zoning permutations didn't favour him. Regardless, he emerged as the National Publicity Secretary at the National Convention of ANPP. He also served in numerous sub- committees that shored the fortunes of ANPP.

Not surprisingly, when the merger talks between some mega parties kicked off, Eneukwu was among the ANPP delegates alongside Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, John Oyegun, Senator Sani Yerima, Senator Adamu Aliero, among others. This elevated him as a member of the Central merger Committee, with the Publicity sub- committee as his primary assignment. When the merger became successful, who was called upon to be the APC Convener in Enugu state? Emma Eneukwu. Why? Because the cap fits.

When the Interim Management Committee of APC was constituted under the leadership of Chief Bisi Akande, Emma Eneukwu was the National Welfare Secretary until the 2014 APC National Convention. As if APC cannot have enough of him and his services, he emerged the first elected National Vice Chairman, South East, and was reelected in 2018. His stint as National Vice Chairman was marked with stellar and gusto performances. In all these services to the party, Eneukwu discharged them without blemish, rather, with a high sense of responsibility and discipline. No wonder he has been under monumental pressure to become the Deputy National Chairman, South, on the God appointed March 26th National Convention date.

Can any APC faithful honestly say that the cap doesn't fit?

Despite showing tremendous capacity in party management, Chief Emma Eneukwu has also demonstrated outstanding leadership capabilities as an enviable administrator in other spheres. In 2016, President Muhammadu Buhari, seeing what others saw, appointed him as a member of the Committee for the distribution of Federal Boards and Parastatals, an assignment he discharged with the fear of God. Not done, he also served as a member of the Presidential Inauguration Committee of President Buhari in 2019.

Eneukwu was again appointed by President Buhari as the Board Chairman of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, where he turned the medical outfit into a world-class facility. President Buhari wouldn't let him rest as, on October 14th, 2021, Eneukwu was appointed Chairman of Governing board, Project Development Institute, PRODA, Enugu.

There are many more accomplishments and evidence of capacity regarding Emma Eneukwu, but those who are familiar with the Scripture could recall what Apostle John scripted in John 21:25 in his narration of Christ's work wherein he said that " there are many other things that Jesus did which if they were written down, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written." And so it is in trying to enumerate the numerous services of this Enugu born servant of party and country, in its totality.

However, what is really confounding is that behind all the political and administrative experiences of Chief Emma Eneukwu, lies an individual who is not even up to sixty years. Here and therefore, experience plus capacity plus energy will turn to be a balanced equation concerning the next Deputy National Chairman, South, of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Luckily the Southern APC Governors, especially those from South East and all the other senior leaders, such as Legislators and Ministers are a collection of wise, strategic and patriotic individuals who are aware of the high stakes. They are also aware that we must get it right. The National Delegates to the Convention will also be eager to make the right choice, bearing in mind the urgency of now, which is to let whom the cap fits to wear it - Chief Emma Eneukwu.

WE DON'T NEED KEN NNAMANI IN APC SAYS APC STUDENTS, SET TO MOBILISE 10 BUSES TO PROTEST IN ABUJA ON FRIDAY.

Ahead of the forth coming National convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, the leadership of Reformed APC Students wing in Enugu State chapter has called for a massive campaign against Senator Ken Nnamani owing to his leadership Failure as the South Rep in the party's National Caretaker Extra Ordinary and Convention Planing committee CEPC.

The Group decried the Senators relegation of his powers to a woman on the alter of an alleged bedroom services, involvement in PDP Affairs, Financial rascality and preference of sentiment over capacity and competence as factors that have disqualified the Former Senate President as a 21st century leader.

In a statement Issued on Monday by the state coordinator of the Group, Comrade Nathaniel Aniji in Enugu , he stated that, APC does not in anyway need a narcissist like Senator Ken Nnamani to lead the southern part of the party except she wants PDP to take over with full Force.

"Sen Ken nnamani Based on the way he championed APC in South East is a disgrace to Political leadership"

"As students who look upto our elders for mentorship, Sen Nnamani is not a good example of what a leader should be to the up coming generations in a 21st century"

"This is an elder statesman who was given APC in South East to handle on a platter of Gold, but he chose to mess the party Up and relegated his powers to a woman who in turn, used her woman skills to maneuver him and kill all his ambitions in APC"

"It was alleged that, They were having some Affairs which were not confirmed but, the aftermath, signals modicum of truths in such ignominious allegation"

"We will not allow that to happen again because, APC needs an experienced administrator, with proven track records in party administration that would save the party from destruction in the South"

"Sen Ken Nnamani cannot be given another sensitive opportunity again in APC else, the party would be heading for an untimely destruction"


The Reformed APC Enugu Students wing also expressed their total support for the candidacy of Hon Emma Enukwu, having analysed his personality in what with what a 21st century leader should be.

They warned against peddling of fake stories by Senator Ken Nnamani and his cohorts against the personality of Hon Emma Enukwu saying that, They would not let him rubbish their most trusted leader having sold his reputation on the alter of libido.

"We have noticed Sen Ken's uncomfortable attitude towards the candidate of Hon Emma Enukwu"

"We have seen his supporters working on his instructions are writing fictitious stuffs about Hon Emma Enukwu just to tarnish his image"

"Sen Ken Nnamani should be aware that no body has a monopoly of idiocy because, we are ready to reply his urchins with superior arsenal"

"Having lost his reputation on the alter of libido, he should look for another way of redeeming his image and not through that way"

"No reasonable APC member would give his time to his rants, because, we know he is a Nebukadneza"

"We affirm and confer our unalloyed support for Hon Emma Enukwu, and would mobilise 10 buses filled with APC Enugu students to Abuja, to Show solidarity to him"
