@ feddy27, take my candid advice, read through the thread. You would still need info on 1. How to mail the embassy 2. You would get different format people used. 3. You would get information on different hospitals and price quotes, obgyn/ midwife fee. 4. POE stories. You don't want to miss that. Believe me. 5. Processing your babies documents, that can save you stress and time after you have had the baby. 6. Ideas on how to cargo your kaya home. 7. And finally buying your babies ticket. Among so many other things ooo You won't want to come back here each time and ask all of the steps above. Do I need to say more? Goodluck though... |
feddy27:Feddy, it would take you 10 mins to read through my post and find the answer to this question, it took me a full week to read through this thread. I have really tried to answer you, but you are bent on not doing any homework at all. Ahn ahn... |
feddy27:Even ordinary Google would solve your problem, HABA!!! Repeated questions is getting really annoying, we are all pregnant and most of us read through the thread. U CANT ADD ANY SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS TO YOUR APPLICATION IF YOUR USING DROPBOX. I also used dropbox, while pregnant, so read through my post you would get your answer * phew*... |
kingsdaughter:Buhahahahahahahahahaha |
blessediva:This question has been answered in details like 10 times.., |
Julietjay:the answer is already on the thread, but for God's sake i would answer again. Google hospitals around the area you plan to stay, read reviews of the hospital to narrow down your search, then contact them (call or send email) to get hospital bills for " self-pay/Uninsured patients ( ask for discounts since your paying in full). Then start scouting for doctors through the same means.the thread has alot of hospitals, i have 36 written down, and there are more. If you already have a place in mind. a hospital may have been mentioned here. |
meine:Lmao, why she no go mind us? its really not easy to read through the thread, but you and i know she would be doing herself a better favor. Let me try and help. @JulietJay, give us something to work with. these are the basic steps: (If you don't have a visa, Start here) 1.start getting information on hospital prices and Contact a doctor (OBGYN) ( Any hospital or obgyn would do ( apart from Doctoress pa ra ti) 2. Get your statement of account ready. 3. pay and schedule a visa appointment 4. During your interview declare your intentions honestly ( gone are the days of lying during interview) Skip 1-4 if you have your visa 5. If you dint inform the embassy you were pregnant when you had you interview/ application ( if you used drop-box), send a mail to the embassy 6. Start working on getting the hospital and the doctor you would eventually use. 7. Try to book an appointment with them. 8. Have them send you a checklist of each item you would be paying for doctors, Hospital, Pediatrician , epidural etc..) 9. if your husband wont be with you, get him to sign a consent for and get it notarized by a notary public, don't include date just yet( you would need this when processing your babies documents 10. Book you ticket/ fly 11 have your BURDEN OF PROOF ready, come back hereto share your POE story 12. Have your baby 13.Get your babies birth certificate, then use this to get his or her passport, then use this to get a Nigerian visa ( you can get a Nigerian passport when you return home if you cant sweat it. 14. buy you babies ticket, come back home now this is alot to take in, but just the basic steps, i may have missed few steps, but start here... truth is, to expand all of these, you may still need to read at least a 100 pages cos every single thing has been explained in details, over and over, and over again.. |
Adiahabasi:thank you so so very much, i am very grateful for this info, God bless you, amen... |
Julietjay:My advice, not going through the whole thread would be cheating yourself, trust me, even 10 people answering you wont give you half of all the details you would get when you read through... |
House, I need your help please. Someone mentioned a hospital In st. Louis, Missouri, I munched the page and forgot to write it down in my notepad. I have lost all the pictures on my phone and sadly, I didn't backup pictures from like 3 months back I have been looking for the particular thread, it hasn't been easy, please help me, anyone with the info. PLEASE God bless you... |
aye88:Very kind of you to share this... |
Morning house, @ Jyde2014, yes I do, I would send it to your email... |
jyde2014:Delaware County memorial hospital, $6000 for Hospital fee, $1500 for obgyn and $1500 for epidural. I don't know if it is inclusive of Pediatrician, lab or ultrasound. I am still trying to find out |
@ Chiduks, I would email you a number for Delaware. Heliano already gave it to me. I would get you a contact for Lakenau when the person I know that works there reply my mail. |
chiduks:Lakenau is terribly expensive, I posted a comment saying Delaware County Memorial hospital ( DCMH) gave me a quote of 10k and 20k for normal delivery and CS earlier, it was actually Lakenau. I know somebody that works there, they have a program for 1,000usd and then 2,000Usd for Normal /CS, but you have to be gotten into the program. I just don't know how, if the person working there can't get me into the program, what chances do I have. I have freed Lakenau. I would be able to get a number for you from her asap... |
@ Donbusky, Favour is hers IJN. @Moniyet, someone can change their minds naa, this POE people sef, giving people sleepless night. Do the needful, you would be fine. You are already on track sef... |
@moniyet lol, i really don't think you have a problem, i would have said you should send a mail to the embassy, but you did that already. Just print the email and add to your " Burden of proof". Pray to God, you should be fine... |
Got a reply from the Embassy today, Thank God, Now I am @ peace... Dear Mrs **** , Thank you for your inquiry. Before you travel to the United States to have a child you should make the appropriate preparations, including an appointment with a healthcare provider, detailed information about where you will receive your medical services, and an estimate of the financial costs. Immigration officials may ask for this information upon your arrival. Healthcare in the United States is expensive, including costs associated with child birth, and can escalate quickly if there are complications. You are expected to pay all costs associated with the medical services received. Retain an itemized statement of account from your healthcare provider that outlines all of the charges from your care and receipt of your payment. We hope this information is helpful to you. Congratulations to you and your family. Best Regards, Consular Section US EMBASSY ABUJA, NIGERIA |
Heliano:Babe, i done find you taya!!!! i no see your response, quoted you earlier asking how you were able to pay to Delaware, you didn't answer .. |
Heliano:Please dear, i need more info, I contacted Delaware, they said 10k and 20k for naturals and CS respectively , also said there have a program for 1k VD and 2k CS, but that i would have to be in the program to access those cheap rates. they didnt give info on how i can be part of the prog. lizcom25:As " Weaseloo" rightly said, use a padlock that can be opened by TSA, buy from any store, that way, they wont break your padlock. It has happened to me before, i carried large bottles of shampoo, cleanser and woman kain things. ( guess they searched mine cos of that much quantity of liquid) |
Heliano:Hia, don't try it at all, if you can, read through the thread, you would see POE stories, you could be sent back ooo. Please how much did you pay to Delaware, I hear it's really expensive, can you give info on how you got your package. Thank you... |
