The story about MoBap hasn't changed you may get a bill for physician fee for your baby, just make them understand you paid for the package and make sure they make your balance zero.
Sometimes being to sharp doesn't pay, I went with the notarized consent form from Nigeria and when I was submitting it I forgot to put my daughter's DOB. Husband had to use DHL priority mail from Nigeria to send it to us. Cost us 16k to notarize and send, then 125 dollars each to change ticket for me and my son, If you don't get your passport in 1 week, start calling the passport agency.
we are back home in 1 piece , all thanks to God who gave me the strength to carry an infant and a toddler on a 29 hours journey *phew*

Pls confirm from them when u get the quote about them having a BA counter from the airport u r flying from. If they dont,u may ve to tell someone elsewhere to pay at another airport that has a BA counter on ur behmalf. A word is enough for the wise oo!!

As promised I called my doctors office, his staff kept saying he would call me back, so I decided to tell them what the iss was. I told them the price keeps going up. Maria the financial person said it's because they have had an influx of calls and that today alone they had 4 calls from Nigeria. I told them I recommended them to over 50 pregnant woman in a group and thats why they have the traffic. She said they had a meeting on Tuesday bla bla bla, I said was it possible for them to reduce the price for people I referred, she said if they do for some they have to do for all, but that they can give the option to do tranv ultrasound or abdominal (that's why it's 365, it's for both ) I didn't even do at all. No be small rack sha. The law of demand and supply done take over, msceeeew...
I will see the doctor on 27th and still push, I know it's late but it's the most I can do...

Yes, they do that sometimes. Nothing spoil. Call them back in 72hrs, they will give you the quote and you go pay at the airport.

So I called BA to add my infant to my ticket, after 40 mins on the phone , the operator said she had added the baby and gives me a PNR, and then tells me to call back in 72 hours to get the quote * confused *. Please I need your help o, I don't want "the more you see, the less you understand" to be my case.

My main concern is with regards to Drs letter from Mobap, how will I get it as per no fax services here since I will have to show it at my POE. Also, how would u rate mobap on a scale of 1 to 5?

If I speak to my doctor directly, I know he will be kind enough to tell his staff to give you the letter ( not promising anything, but will call today). I would rate mobap 5. There was no room for error, baby is tested and checked well, that was most important to me. I didn't need much from my Hospital box,You are given food 3 daily, your baby is given food if you want. Diapers, disposable pants and sanity towels for you. Body wash for baby and bodysuit for baby. The nurse filled my bag with those supply as I was leaving.

Thank you. The doctors fee for natural delivery is the same with CS. I no taya o , I was stressed before I had the baby, so I was off NL for a while. Please anyone should feel free to ask me questions, after all, all the info I have I got from here , including the hosp.

I got a few mails asking for information for missouri baptist, I guess there is no hidden charge.
You are entitled to 2 nights after delivery, even if you give birth 3am or 12 noon, you are entitled to sleep 2 full nights. My doctor gave me a pain killer to numb my below (since I won't take epidural ) He said I should tell them to call him if they ask me to pay, but we are covered for "pain medications" wasn't just sure of that one. All blood test covered. We declined the hearing test. It's 50 dollars. You get your birth certificate in 2 working days, the birth certificate clerk would expidite it.we didn't pay. We just requested for the passport this week. They said 8 workings days (2 week's ). Pediatricians fee is 200, he would come and check your baby 3 times, supposed to be 260, but he was kind enough to collect 200. First office visit ( out of hospital ) is 130, it's not compulsory. It's like the 1 week follow up, I had concerns bout somethings so I went. Doctor, hospital and labs remains the same. Ssn comes In less than two week, same with zero balance.
I have tested and seen that the water is clean * wink*

Lol, phema, you would so pay for the 3rd box. My husband is entitled to 3 boxes, he is a BA gold member.

Thanks. I called the BA number you dropped on the forum to make the addition but when i got to AA desk on the day of my departure,they insisted i paid 200$ or they wont carry the 3rd bag and that i should call BA to process a refund if i feel cheated. .

Thank you so much for sharing this, mama's using BA , lets take note, something very similar happened to us in 2013, my husband is entitled to 3 bags on BA, we (hubby , me and LO ) where travelling to Nigeria from LA. We had to pay $200 for my husbands 3rd box when we got to the airport. AA Said they can't verify that he is entitled to 3 boxes, that made it 7 piece ( husband's 3 boxes, my 2 boxes, my LO's 1 box + carseat). When we got to Heathrow at night to connect and enter 9ja. The BA customer service rep said AA put credit of over £500 for 7 piece luggage on our account. . American wonder. We spent over 30 mins clearing that up, calls back and forth, different rep coming to press system, etc. Let's be careful o , call and verify please.

Dear Nairalanders please is there any one that has travelled with a car seat and stroller back home using emirates? I would like to know if you were charged for the infant car seat, at check in was it counted against the baby's baggage allowance or just checked in without it counting against the baby's baggage allowance? An infant on lap is entitled to one box, a stroller , a carseat, and a diaper bag on all international flights and most local flights...

Mentioned it earlier, they don't send emails ,just phone calls and maybe fax. I didn't use their correspondence for visa (I had my visa already) for POE someone had to go to their office and got me a very short letter stating that I am transferring medical care to them. You may have to use a different doctor correspondence.

@ Amother4life, she done spoil the whole thing, smh, even @ 32 weeks she can travel out of US and back @35weeks, it would just be too much stress.

I got a PM from one if us the other day saying she was told 1k for my same doctor @ mobap, today again another PM, different person saying 1, 100 i know it's not bad compared to other doctors , but please let's negotiate. If we dont, it will keep rising o, I am not affected as I already paid my 800, and this is probably my last bus stop. (Aka we dai close our shop , we no do again) but others are coming in behind us , let's not allow them use us.

Thanks alot sister,called the hospital but they directed me to the pricing list on their website which only includes charges for delivery and nursery excluding epidural,drugs and so on And was told I can't make appointment with them that I can only do with a doctor.

Uhmmm, that's because the everything is done separately in the US system, the hospital has given you what they take care of only. Some hospital would have access to fees of the Epidural, others won't. You may have to search for that bit of info.
