At least under my watch she is doing better, but i noticed the excessive drinking has continued, please tell me, does alcohol cause depression? i do drink but only on weekends she drinks every day, an admits about a bottle a day (i wonder how she manages that)

Oprah would not be making the claim if nothing had happened, why would she want to tarnish a poor girl's reputation?

I did ask last night, she mentioned all the things she had done in her life the terrible things she had done to offend people.honestly there were some things she said she had done to me in the past which i did not even remember. she was saying she was sorry and so on and so forth, honestly i dont even remember some of the things she said she did. like when she stole 5000 naira from me in Unilag,(honestly i dont remember)but anyways i forgive her for everything she thinks she did to me, and then she mentioned things she had done to this person and that person (i dont mean to be mean but i had the impression she had suddenly gone mad)

she feels terible about herself, my conclusion was that it was guilt that was causing the depression, i adviced her she must learn to forgive herself first before she can get to peace. but that is the most i could do. We prayed aa little and i tugged her into bed. luckily she slept without any problem

Please help me somebody, i need advice for a friend.

We went to school together, we passed our exams together , we got jobs together, i am happy in life and i assumed she was as well. until she told me yesterday she finds that suicide is tempting, she has reached rock buttom with depression

i was so surprised because on the out side she looked happy. we went out to party over the weekend i noticed she was drinking much more than usual, but i brushed it aside as stress relief.

then she confessed to me, she is drinking an average of one bottle of whiskey a day. smoking a packet of cigarettes a day
wakes up drunk, she can hardly concerntrate at work. she wants to end it all.

I told her to take a vacation and to pray a lot but i am worried that she might do something silly.

I am not a professional on this field, please i need the help of somebody with medical knowledge to help, i dont know what to tell her anymore. she cried herself to sleep last night, i have never seen her like this before!!
