There is a place where you can check your biometric validity status. you can do that and print out the page, then send to them through the IRCC Webform

If you applied online then your Biometric Status and validity should be on your application page. The first time i applied for a Canadian visa i used paper route and did biometric, when i applied for renewal i did it online and it automatically listed my Biometric status including the date i first did and the validity on the application page.

Maybe you should crosscheck your response to the initial questionnaire when applying online.

Have used Wakanow, both for Ghana and North American flights and no issues. You select your flights, give your details, pay online and they send the e-ticket to your email. Used it the last time I went to Ghana, their rates were cheaper than on the airline webpage

Nice write up but some corrections, 1) Arik flies to Accra too, they and Air Peace do not give out landing card on the plane, you have to collect it at the Airport in Accra (they are on the stand to your left immediately you enter the terminal. Even in the departure lounge in Accra they do not give you the card at check in, you have to collect it yourself at the stands adjacent to the check in desks, just before immigration. 2) Ghana immigration mostly stamp 30 days stay on Nigerian Passport.

Just got a BVL this morning 5th of Sept from the Kenya office. Submitted paper route on the 29th of July. Linked it online on the 1st of August. Update so far. Hoping for a positive response from the embassy for me and other applicants. All the best of luck to everyone.

Applied for renewal on the same date (29th July) online route. No update yet

They just asked what I was coming to do in Canada and how long I was staying. I said I was visiting my brother and his family for 2 weeks, and then she stamped my passport and said " welcome to Canada"

You can take a train from Oslo Central Train station, its about 9 hours to Bergen. Its quite a scenic route and i will recommend it for a first timer

Dominica and St Kitts & Nevis have Medical Schools where a lot of Nigerians are registered and study, check the schools and local forums.

It's not the same flight. Assuming its an hour flight, the 1st class passengers usually arrive 2 hours before the economy passengers..............

I paid $80 from Toronto to Ottawa and its was just a small muffin and water they gave me. I didn't take it because I felt they may charge extra for it and I was feeling queasy from the way Air Canada fly almost vertically for the first fifteen minutes. Its the same all over the world , their breakeven margin is very tight

If you have US visa, I think is better to apply for Canada visit/tourist visa while in US.
I applied for Canada visit visa for my wife on June 6th this year, she did biometric same day. I withdrawal her application after 3 months in late September because the application was not finalized. She currently in US, and I reapplied for her in October. Below is the timeline;
- Application submitted online on October 17
- Biometric on October 17 at VAC New York
- Passport request on October 22nd
- passport delivered by hand on October 24th at VAC NY
- Passport picked up on October 28 at VAC New York
- Application approved with multiple visa valid till 4th of February 2021.

Documents included were;
- her passport date page
- my bank statement ( 2 months bank statements printed online)
- marriage certificate
- United Airlines flight itinerary
- Details info of where we are going in canada
- 4 nights hotel reservation through hotwire
- No invitation letter included

I was of the opinion that a"right of stay" like a work, study permit or other form of residence permit is required before you can apply for a visa from a foreign country. Please correct me if i am wrong

Used wakanow for flight booking and Travel Insurance to Canada. everything went smoothly.

Emirates is good, the ground floor services at Murtala Muhammed Airport are efficient (though brusque). Inflight is great, especially their entertainment system. Meals are similar to other international airlines. The ground staff at Dubai airport are very helpful

T think you have to change the setting when you get there. I recall I did not get reception until I changed my setting from GSM to WCDMA

It appears there has been a change of policy, the OECD option is no longer available on their website

Like the guy said, if you have a Visa from any of the OECD countries (in this case UK) and you are traveling with Turkish Airlines, you can apply online.

I applied for the Turkish e-visa because I had a Canadian Visa, downloaded the visa and presented it at Istanbul immigration, they just checked their system and stamped my passport.

Spent a couple of days exploring Istanbul after a long flight from Toronto

Can you also react to this issue that a person can't be sponsored on a visit visa?
I have heard people especially the aged travel to see their relatives in CA, Does that mean they sponsor themselves?
I think they are not the Principal Applicanst but dependants.
Note: these relatives have PR, working, and have the finance for the trip.

I think a person can be sponsored for a visit visa, but it all depends on the situation of the sponsor in Canada. The person being sponsored will probably also be evaluated like any other applicants, for things like travel history, home ties, etc.

1. As a first-time applicant with a virgin passport, what are my chances of getting CA visa?
2. The person inviting me is also my sponsor, he just asked me to go the Embassy with my passport and the documents he sent to me. Is it suppose to be so? Won't I submit any of my personal documents like Birth Certicate at least?
Please respond accordingly and if there are other things I need to know, u may enlighten me the more.

Yes you can submit the form and do biometric same day, you just need to get to the VFS office early enough. No appointment is needed
