Web developers create websites. Web designers create websites. Their work is similar, right? Wrong. The difference is huge, and the main thing is mindset. At the expense of stereotyping: developers write code, a tech-guy, maths guy, he deals with binaries. Designer creates emotions, uses his fantasy and ideas – he is an art-guy, a painter, an artist.

EducationWhich Of These Have You Ever Experienced In Your School? by klashe(op): 1:43am On May 02, 2016
Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti has been one of the interesting places I've been to. I've met with so many people and experienced some awkward and interesting things... I don't know if you will like to share which of these you've also experienced befor in your school...

1) Missed a test because you slept off.

2) Ate egg-roll more than thrice in a day.

3) Skipped fellowship because papa said you will lead the prayer.

4) Queued at the bank over one hour just because you want to pay your school fee or some other fees.

5) Quickly took your bath outside your hostel(girls) around 6am (What you won't dare do during day-time)

6) Didn't bath to class because you have 9am exam.

7) Collected beans more than once during Abuja-week.

cool Attended another fellowship because they have welcoming party programme for freshers (F.F.O)

9) Returned to your hostel around 5:00pm and found out that your foodstuffs has been stolen.

10) Went to night-class to read but instead you slept off only to wake up and see that students are already entering for 8am lecture.

11) Queued for over 30mins because you want to bath.

Oh!!! did I missed any? You can also share yours with us.

CareerGood Decisions Today Will Give You A Better Tomorrow by klashe(op): 2:56pm On Apr 07, 2016
Hello readers, how have you been? Hope you enjoyed the last article i posted? Okay, today i want to gear you up with this little write-up from make today count series. I wish you will get something from this.

It seems obvious that good decisions help to create a better tomorrow, yet many people don’t appear to connect their lack of success to their poor decision making. Some people make choices, then experience negative consequences, yet wonder why they can’t seem to get ahead in life. They never figure it out. Others know their choices may not be good for them, but they make them anyway. Such is a case of the alcoholic who keeps drinking excessively or the person who engages in one abusive relationship after the other.

Nobody says that good decisions are always simple, but they are necessary for success. Theodore Hesburgh, former president of Notre Dame University, admonished:

You don’t make decisions because they are Easy;

You don’t make decisions because they are cheap;

You don’t make decisions because they are Popular;

You make decisions because they are Right.

You begin to build a better life by determining to make good decisions, but that alone is not enough. You need to know what decisions to make. I’ve given the subject a better lot of thought, talked to many successful people, and narrowed down the list of critical areas for success to twelve. I call them the “The Daily Dozens”:

1. Attitude: Choose and display the right attitude daily.

2. Priorities: Determine and act on important priorities daily.

3. Health: Know and follow healthy guidelines daily.

4. Family: Communicate with and care for my family daily.

5. Thinking: Practice and develop good thinking daily.

6. Commitment: Make and keep proper commitments daily.

7. Finances: Make and properly manage cash daily.

8. Faith: Deepen and live out my faith daily.

9. Relationship: Initiate and invest in solid relationships daily.

10. Generosity: Plan for and model generosity daily.

11. Values: Embrace and practice good values daily.

12. Growth: Seek and experience improvements daily.

CONCLUSION

If you settle this issues by making the right decisions in each area and then work to manage those decisions daily, you can be successful.

CareerMaking The Decision To Choose And Display The Right Attitude Daily by klashe(op): 2:08pm On Apr 05, 2016
Your attitude is a choice. If you desire to make your day a masterpiece, then you need to have a great attitude. If its not good now, you need to change it. Make the decision. Here is how:

Take Responsibility For Your Attitude
Firstly, you must understand that it is your job to care for your attitude. No one can do that for you.

Decide To Change Your Bad Attitude Areas
I have read the peanuts comic strip for years, and i have always been a big fan. I recall one strip in which lucy announces, "Boy, do i feel crabby."
Her little brother, Linus, always anxious to relieve tension at home, responds, "Maybe i can be of help. Why don't you just take my place here in front of the T.V while i go and fix you a nice snack? Sometimes we all need a little pampering to help us feel better." Then Linus brings her a sandwich, a few chocolate chip cookies, and some milk.
"Now, is there anything else i can get you?" he asks. "Is there anything i haven't thought of?"
"Yes, there is one thing you haven't thought of," Lucy answers. And then she suddenly screams, " I don'y want to feel better!"
For the many years the late Charles Schulz drew peanuts, that always seems to be one of Lucy's problems. She didn't want to change in the areas where she had a bad attitude-and she had a lot of them!
Many people are like her. I mentioned that there are things in your life you cannot choose, such as your parents, where you were born, or your race. But your attitude is something you can change. And just about everybody has at least few areas in their thinking that could use some help. If you want to have a better day. then you need to go after those areas.

Think, Act, Talk, and Conduct Yourself Like A Person You Want To Become
If you have been to any kind of class reunion ten or more years after graduation, then you've probably been surprised by the transformation of one of your former classmates-the misfit who became a famous lawyer, the plane Jane who blossomed into a movie star, or the geek who founded the a major corporation. How do such transformations occur? Those people changed how they thought of themselves. You saw them as they were (or how you thought they were). They saw themselves as they could be. Then they learn to act like and acquire the skills of the people they wanted to be. The transformation usually takes time; often its barely noticeable to those who see them everyday (just as parents don't see changes in babies the way others do). But to someone who hasn't seen them in ten, twenty, or thirty years, the transformation seems miraculous, like butterfly from a caterpillar.
If you desire to change yourself, then start with your mind. Believe you can improve, that you can change into the person you desire to be. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared ti what lies within us". If your thinking changes, then everything else can follow.

Place A High Value On People
One of the secrets of maintaining good attitude is valuing people. You can't dislike people and have a good attitude at the same time. Think about it: Have you ever met anyone who always treat people badly but had a positive attitude? Likewise, you cannot have a bad attitude and encourage others at the same time. Encouraging others means helping people, looking for the best in them, and trying to bring out their positive qualities. That process drives negative thoughts out of your head.
Your interaction with others sets the tone of your day. Its like the music of your life. When your interaction with others is poor, its like having to listen to cacophonous music. But when you place a high value on people and you treat them well, its like listening to a sweet melody as you go through your day.

Develop A High Appreciation For Life
Have you ever known people who complain about everything? Their soup is too hot. Their bed is too cold. Their vacation is too short. Their pay is too low. You sit side by side with them at a magnificent banquet, and while you enjoy every morsel, they tell you whats wrong with each and every dish. Such people don't appreciate life, no matter how good it gets.
A friend e-mailed me the story of a very "together" and independent ninety-two-year-old lady who was moving into a nursing home. Since she legally blind and her husband of seventy-years had passed away, the move was her only option. She waited in the lobby of the facility for a long time before finally being told that her room was ready. As she was escorted down the corridor, her attendant described the room, down to the curtains hung on the windows.

"I love it," the elderly lady enthusted.
"But you haven't seen the room yet. Just wait, "the attendant responded.
"That doesn't have anything to do with it," she replied.
"Happiness is what you what you decide on ahead of time. Whether i like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged. Its how i arrange my mind."

Conclusion
Appreciation isn't a matter of taste or sophistication. Its a matter of perspective. John Wooden said, "Things turns out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out." The place to start is with the little things. If you can learn to appreciate them and be grateful, you will appreciate the big things as well as everything in between.
Music/RadioMoney has eroded christian music... (Exclusive Interview with Deji Iyiola) by klashe(op):
Hello there and welcome to the first edition of "my exclusive interview. I have been privileged to conduct an interview with a UK based nurse/musician.

Who is Deji Iyiola?

Deji is a Contemporary Worship leader, song writer, producer and a composer who has dedicated his musical life to praise and Worship.
He was formerly a worship leader with Youth With A Mission both in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He has served as a music/choir leader in various churches and he is currently the worship leader in a Church at Coventry, United Kingdom. Read full biography.

The contents of this interview comprises of what music is, how it can affect you and the relationship between your education and career. Below is the full questions and answer... Happy reading:

· Hello sir, it’s nice to have you on my blog today, can you tell us where you were born? I was born in Akure, Ondo state.

· Are you from a musical family? Yes

· What led you into music? Parents or passion? I think a bit of both.

· How many kids have you got? 3 kids

http://www.trinityworship.org.uk/communities/5/004/012/249/285/images/4601256868.jpg
· What music do you listen to? I listen to different music ranging from traditional Nigerian music to Glam rock, Reggae, Rock& Roll (Western stuff), Christian genres and many more.

· How do you start your musical training? I joined the junior choir of my church and I was privileged to be mentored by great people around me.

· Apart from singing, what other things do you do [in music]-I do play instruments but I love to sing when there are instrumentalists who play other instruments I play.

· What is the best age to start learning musical instrument? In my opinion, I think it's good to start early when one is young.

· Like how many songs have you written? I can really remember in total because I wrote some songs for my choir back home and since I have been living in the west, I have written about 70 something songs. Some finished and some unfinished.

· Do you head any musical band? (name) I am privileged to be the music pastor in my church currently, but I used to be the lead vocalist for a pop group we established with friends from the University some years ago before we all went to our different bases where we lived.

· When it’s not music, what other things interests you? I do read different books I can find. I love philosophical books and other ones. Also, I am into research. Currently, I am researching about the 'effectiveness of using music therapy in forensic mental health treatment'. I am hoping it can be published by the end of the year because research takes time.

· Do you practise any other profession aside music? Yes, I was a lecturer for the NDs and HND s before I changed my career to Nursing. So, I am currently a Nurse by profession.

· Why aren’t you into full-time music? It's a challenge when you have a family. You have to create time for the family (wife and children). I am sure a time is coming when that will be possible.

· What has been your greatest encouragement and discouragement in music? I have been encouraged about how God can use your gift and talent to open several opportunities for anyone but my greatest discouragement is that money has eroded Christian music. It is all about business : how people will get rich by making their music known. It is good to be rich but that should not be the ultimate goal especially in the Christian music industry. It should be about the gospel and God will bless the work of your hand.

· What has been your greatest achievement in music? Hmmmm... Wow!! There are lots to talk about but just a few I will discuss. I am into Christian worship now and I went for a music conference in South Africa where I saw the real power of God in action. Just singing and worshipping and people began to fall over without anyone touching them. Also, my random (not planned for) radio interview in the largest Christian radio station in Cape Town. Everyone I know listened and talked about it. I just give glory to God that the world is hearing me.

· As a blogger, have you been able to promote your musical career through blogging? I have my website .This is the forum I use to disseminate my music.

· Would you encourage your kids into music? Of course yes. Music is a universal language. There is no barrier to it!

· Can they play any musical instrument? Yes, they are young and they are learning some instruments.

· I have had few encounters with high school students and when I asked them what they understood about the sentence: ‘’Education is the best legacy’’ they seem not to get it, and so also are some people out there, will you explain that sentence to those who don't know? ---Yes, education is the best legacy. It is good to have formal education because in some places no matter what you know if you cannot present a certificate of some kind, you will always be under those who are formally educated. However, sometimes when we talk about education, people limit it to formal education but you need various knowledge of various things too. Knowledge is power as they say. There are people who had formal education but they are not using the knowledge.

· What is the percentage of being a successful artist/actor (actress) without education?---As I said before, if there is no formal education, people will just continue to languish. My advice is that if you recognize the talent you got, educate yourself to the best of your ability and become a Master of your own craft, then you cannot be tossed about by just anyone.

· What advice do you have for those who think education is not necessary to become a successful artist/actor? They need to push themselves to be educated. Another problem is that people use God for everything. You might hear people say 'God will do it'. Yes God will. However, God created trees but not chairs (people made chairs). I will just say that everyone should equip themselves. There are always some kind of limitation when people are not educated.

· Tell us other things you have done through blogging. I write some Christian articles to educate people. I need to update recent articles on my website soon.

I hope you've gained a little from today's edition of My Exclusive Interview... For contributions and questions, kindly notify at the comment section. Till another time, bye.

WebmastersWhat Is The Best Time To Publish Blog Posts? - Blogtyrant. by klashe(op): 2:48am On Mar 25, 2016
Did you know that that time of day that you publish your blog post articles has a big impact on how well they do on social media, how many comments they get and how many people actually read it?

Yep, the time of day and the day of the week are important parts of your blog posting strategy.

In this post I am going to you when you should post for maximum benefit.

It is actually much more important than you might think.

The best time to publish blog articles
Over the years I have experimented with so many different combinations in regard to the best time of day and the best day of the week to publish blog articles.

What you have to realize is that it doesn’t always work.

Sometimes you will write an amazing post and publish it on a Friday and still see it go viral. Sometimes your posts published at the optimal time will do nothing. Posting at the best times is like giving the article a helping hand, its not an actual traffic strategy.

The best days of the week to post

The best day’s of the week to post your blog articles are Tuesday and Wednesday. I have had dozens of websites and blogs and across all niches it seems that the most traffic is around on a Wednesday followed closely by a Tuesday. I think this has a lot to do with people being at work and bored and looking for something else to do midweek.

The best time of day to post

The best time to publish your blog posts, for most blogs, is between 9:30am and 11am USA East Coast time.

This is the time when most people are online or about to come online. The reasons I post at 9:30am and no 9:00am is because at the earlier time people are still reading all their other feeds and emails. I want my post to appear while the are online, I don’t want it to be there when they turn on the computer.

If your blog is about entertainment or provides some sort of entertaining content you will also find that posting towards the end of the East Coast work day does quite well. By that time most people are finished working and are on Facebook sharing videos, funny cat pictures and so on.

Please make sure you test your own blog posting schedule as every niche and blog topic varies little bits here and there.

Social media traction

One of the reasons you need to publish at these times is because it is essential for gaining social media traction. Some bookmarking websites like Delicious.com (which I hit the front page for) and Digg.com require a certain number of bookmarks in a short space of time to gain traction. If you publish while everyone is asleep you miss out on this traffic in a big way.

What do you think?

In my experience these times are the best for posting. That being said, I’m sure there are other opinions out there. Please leave a comment and let me know when you publish your blog articles and why. Do you notice differences in traffic and social media uptake at different times? I’d love to know.
Career8 Study Strategies For Effective Learning (MUST READ) by klashe(op): 2:20am On Mar 25, 2016
Strategy: A plan of action intended to accomplish a specific goal.

Study strategies/skills are approaches applied to learning. They are generally critical to success, considered essential for acquiring good grades, useful for acquiring thoughts of one’s life.

Are you a student who wish to be successful in academics? do you find it difficult coping with your studies? If yes, then have no worries and just follow the tips below;

Create A Study Timetable

A study time table is a structured schedule of study within a specific time. Study timetable helps you to get prepared and have an effective learning. The best time to develop a study timetable is when your school term/semester begins and your course schedule/outline is set.
It is recommended that timetables should be pasted on the wall where you study, especially in front of your study chair where you will see it every day.

Have A Study Location

One of the keys to effective studying is finding a good environment. Choose a place where no one can have access to disturb you. It must be a place when you will be able to concentrate and not get distracted from friends, phone-calls, or noise. I will also add this, you don’t have to stick to a specific place incase the place becomes inconvenient. Should have atleast two and atmost three.

Revisions

Sleeping with your books under your pillow won’t fix anything in your brain. There are so much you can gain from revising, had it been you knew this you wouldn’t have taken it so lightly. You can make reviews of your notes daily, twice in a week or weekly, if you revise weekly, you must re-schedule whenever you have upcoming exams.
Revising is remembering. Assuming you have a test tomorrow and you’ve spent the whole of today with books in your front, but you were unable to write anything when its test time, you have not done any revision but just ‘reading’. Revision is fixing information into your brain.

Prioritize Your Assignments

If you want to have the energy to answer difficult subject/courses at your best, then you must create the habit of solving tough subjects first in any given assignment. If you want to take down more courses, then try to be flexible: for example, introduce reaction time when you can get more knowledge on them before they are due.

Do Not Allow Unnecessary Distractions Unless You Are Done

Never leave your school work for unexpected activities that looks appealing. This is the problem of most students which leads them to having poor performance in school, yet, they are unable to figure it out. Henceforth, postpone anything that can lure you away from school work and always learn to say "later".
Discover what distracts you now and never allow it again.

Seek For Help

Whenever you find it hard to understand one thing or the other, seek for help. There are so many ways you can get help with your academics. The fastest and cheapest is through the internet (information is free), you can simply search keywords that you need help with and you will get solution without wasting time. Other sources of help is by going to the library, tutors, expert friends or groups.

Explore And Review Notes Before Going To Class

I will never forget this in my life, it helped me when I wanted to write my jamb exam. I woke up around 4am, having nothing much to do, I took up my maths note and revised on the topic "POLYGON". Believe me, 11 good questions came out from polygon.
Aside exams, by revising notes before class, you might just coma across a question you still don’t understand to ask in class. Even this will delight your teacher that you are interested and have prepared for the class.

Review Notes After Class

Doing this will help you remember the points which your teacher has emphasized on and even how he/she has demonstrated when explaining.

Conclusion: I hope that you have found this post helpful? Follow the steps above and success is awaiting you in your academics.
