Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima has approved the appointment of Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa as Secretary to the State Government. This was contained in a statement made available to KSM News this afternoon by the Permanent Secretary Administration and General Services, Governor's office, Dr. Maryam Bukar Ibrahim.

Also appointed is Alhaji Modu Alhaji Musa as Chief of Staff, Governor's office. Similarly, Barrister Yakubu Bukar retains his position as Head of Service.

Other political appointees are:


1. Isa Umar Gusau Special Adviser Communications and Strategy.

2. A Mohammed Bashir Shuwa, Senior Special Assistant Social Media.

3. Usman Majidadi Kumo, Senior Special Assistant on Media (Radio).

4. Kwapchi Bata Dibal, Senior Special Assistant Television on Media (Radio).

5. Yusuf Usman Shettima Special Assistant Social Media.

According to singer Timi Dakolo,Kukere master Iyanya is curremtly having his traditional wedding in Calabar.
However,I think it is a video shoot because it is practically impossible for a man of Iyanya's repute to have a traditional wedding in Nigeria without the media and his fans know.

The Maiduguri International Airport in Borno state will be reopened today June 9th many months after it was closed down due to Boko Haram attacks. According to KSM news, Borno state deputy governor, Zanna Umar Mustapha disclosed this and said the state government received a letter from the Chief of Air Staff advising the airport management to reopen the airport. After the 20days of the journey all along from Abuja to Otuoke, it all started as a joke not until the end became the finish line.Niyi Oladele, Ifey Chukuneku and Gloria who started a journey to honour president Jonathan by trekking from Abuja to Otueke have landed. They were at the Anglican Church, Otueke this morning where the president worships whenever he is in town and were received by Otueke people and even adorned the ladies with unique wrappers. It is believed they are staying back at Otueke to receive the president as he comes home after handing over on Friday, May 29.
