Oh dear, one Eric Amodu has replied Tuface Idibia over his PDP comment. It will be recalled that Tuface had earlier taken to twitter where he said the Federal Government and State Governments had failed Nigerians in the past 16years. Eric Amodu who however knows what Tuface has benefitted from the party, especially PDP Governors, took to Benue.com.ng (Tuface is from Benue by the way) to call him out and tell Nigerians how he has benefitted MILLIONS from PDP government. It is an open letter. Do read it after the cut... “Too bad you threw the bomb at yourself on this. You are my friend but the truth must be told. Question 1. Name a single soul you’ ve ever helped? Question 2. Why did your fellow childhood friends deserted you? Question 3. What have you given back to the society that made u? Infact lets go deeper First of all, OJB produced you and brought you to limelight and even gave you a song for free without you paying a dime. But you threw your back at him when the world was rallying round to save his life. Not even a dime from you when lesser musicians gave their widows mite. No any Idoma sons could say he’s on your scholarship list yet you have the mouth to talk back at the people that you helped in eating from their states’ funds. You ate the resources meant for Benue State during Akume days in PDP as a governor when he bought you a Camry. How about Donald Duke when he was the PDP governor of cross Rivers State? He lavished the state resources for you and still paid 20 million naira just to reunite the plantation boiz yet you have the guts to say PDP did nothing? Better still, you for reject all the money. Akwa-Ibom state governor under the PDP-led government lavished the money meant for the state to sponsor your wedding. Why didn’t you kick against it when he gave you eight jeeps and sponsored several people to Dubai just to attend your wedding? Jolly Nyame wasted th state resources on you and you practically abandoned Lagos for Taraba just because you began to taste the juicy side of unmerited resources from government coffers. Don’t forget… when you sang ” I de feel like so so so and so person… because you de spend for me.” Over 70% of the names you mentioned were PDP people you joined in eating away the future of their states. Brother man, sorry to say this… you don’t even stand the moral ground where conscience speaks to talk about PDP. I would love Banky W, the little Davido that just started, Ice Prince, Don Jazzy and so many others to talk because they don’t dine with the PDP and their states’ funds yet they’ve given a whole lot to the society. On your wedding day, you took away the pleasure of the eyes from Nigerians to Dubai so that dem no go fit benefit even small thing from you. Stingy life.” http://www.maxgist.com/2015/05/eric-amodu-blasts-tuface-over-pdp.html |

There's serious fight happening at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja this night after Aero Contractors canceled a flight from Abuja to Lagos after a 3-hour delay. The flight was slated for 6pm this evening, but Aero contractors canceled the flight at 9:05pm. Immediately passengers heard the news, they mobbed Aero contractors' staff, destroyed their printers and other properties. Aero staff, including luggage attendants ran for their dear lives. Passengers say they are now stranded at the airport. http://www.maxgist.com/2015/05/pics-stranded-passegers-at-nnamdi.html

Suleiman Hashimu, the man who trekked from Lagos to Abuja in honor of Buhari's victory at the presidential election met with Gen Buhari in Abuja today April 24th. Narrating his experience to General Buhari, Suleiman said; "I made a promise because of the love I have for Mr. President that if Buhari should win the 2015 elections, I will trek from Lagos to Abuja which I have done. I thank God that I made a promise and I fulfilled the promise. I passed through Kwara and Niger states to Abuja. I was trekking from 6.00am to 6.00pm and anywhere I find myself when it is 6.00pm, I pass the night there.I spent 18 days from Lagos to Abuja." Continue... Once I found myself inside the bush by 6.00pm and I managed to continue the trek till 9.00pm to a nearby village. I made this promise two years ago. I am based in Ibadan and I started my journey from Lagos because Lagos is the most popular city in Nigeria and I started from Berger junction in Lagos. I am not bothered about what people think. It is a promise between me and my God. I don’t want anybody to believe me. I left Lagos because I made a promise. Right from Kwara state, I never walked alone for five kilometres. People always walk with me to the next village. I work with a construction company based in Ibadan.”he said http://www.maxgist.com/2015/04/photos-buhari-meets-man-who-trekked.html

Bakare Adetola is a Political Scientist from Adekunle Ajasin University, below is what he called a short article written by him concerning the recent xenophobia act going on in South Africa against fellow race. "The black man isn't your enemy. Your enemies are there helping and orchestrating all what you are doing to the very people who helped you to be free. They are watching and waiting. Their strategy is simple, DIVIDE AND RULE. Mind you, this is not the first time you have done same to your fellow Africans. In 2008, you did same and repeat 7years after, the memories of these barbaric events are well registered and well documented. I'm not angry at you people but rather feel sorry for you. I feel pity, feel sorry for the next generation SA" http://www.maxgist.com/2015/04/xenophobia-is-barbaric-say-no-to-it.html |
Troops of the Nigerian Army on Saturday landed in the dreaded Sambisa forest with the possibility of finding and rescuing the abducted Chibok girls from the Boko Haram terrorists. According to a military source, the operation to liberate the forest may not last more than one week as most of the strikes and special operations have knocked out Boko Haram’s defence systems. The source further revealed that sustained aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air Force for weeks now have now made it possible for the Army to move in today for ground operation. “The operation is nearing its conclusion and the Army will be moving in tomorrow (today) and I am sure in a matter of days, if plans goes accordingly the operations will be over. "The Air Force have been bombarding the area for weeks now and with the right kind of weapon, the Army is ready for the final onslaught”, the source said. The source, however, added that even though there is no concrete evidence that the Chibok girls were in the forest, it will be the top priority of the military to find and rescue them if it eventually turns out they are being held there. The source said, “the fear is that some of the girls might be amongst the women killed in Bama and other parts of the liberated towns, and Sambisa offers the more viable hope of all the remaining options to rescue the girls”. It will be recalled that the Nigerian Military in the last eight weeks has sustained its offensive on the terrorists and have recaptured over 90 per cent of the territories that were once under the control of the sect with the exception of Sambisa forest. In a similar development, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Kenneth Minimah in a recent interaction with journalists in Abuja, said the battle with Boko Haram terrorists is almost over. “I will tell you that militarily, they (Boko Haram) have been defeated, but as armed groups, thieves, armed robbers, or people who go about to steal, burn markets and loot to go back to the forests that will continue for a while”, he stated. He also said with the expected recapture of the Sambisa forest, the Chibok girls, which he admitted not knowing their whereabouts might be rescued. “Yes, by the time we capture Sambisa forest completely, we will be able to find out where the Chibok girls are. Because as it is now, anybody you ask, they will say they did not see them, they are not here, they are not there. But when we capture Sambisa forest we will be able to know where they are and government will take it up from there”, he said. http://www.maxgist.com/2015/04/ground-troops-storm-sambisa-forest-in.html |
