Gunmen reportedly attack Secondary school in Niger State
I guess their targets are now schools. A week after a suicide bomber killed about 49 students at Govt Science Secondary school in Yobe state, gunmen attacked Limawa primary and secondary schools, Minna, Niger state this morning at about 10.30am, injuring many students.

According to an eye witness, the attackers shot sporadically in the air before using their machetes to inflict injuries on some students. It is not yet clear if they killed anyone but several students have been rushed to the hospital.

The Niger state Police command spokesperson DSP Ibrahim Gambari, who confirmed the incident, said the police are there now and normalcy has since been returned to the area.

Stephen Keshi has called on Nigerians, to rally around the Super Eagles with their prayers and physical presence, when they take on South Africa in Uyo on Wednesday. The African champions kept their hopes of qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations alive, with a 2-0 win over Congo in Pointe-Noire last weekend. Keshi admitted it was a difficult game for his boys, but pointed out there were no small nations in football anymore.
“The game of football has changed, people are growing, nations are growing. So we have to grow too and we have to continue with whatever we are doing that we think will make us good and strong,” Keshi told Goal. “Our game against the Congo national team was not bad. Two good sides played the match and I think in the second half we could have had more goals. We lost some chances in the second half but I give glory to God that we got the three points we needed in this match. “As regards the last qualifying match against South Africa, Nigerians should pray for us, they should pray for the players and they should be patient and they should come out in masses to support their team to win the match. The footballers are in the country to play against their Congolese counterpart in the AFCON qualifying match which will hold tomorrow.
