Still in the mood of YelloEleven, MTN still surprising his customers, in the latest news heard subscribers to the telecommunications service provider, MTN Nigeria will, as from Today, have the opportunity to recharge their phones for as low as N10.

The Chief MARKETING Officer of MTN, Bayo Adekanmbi, revealed this in a statement on Thursday.
The statement quoted Adekambi to have said that the initiative, to be launched in Kano, was to ensure that no Nigerian was shut out of the values that the network offers.
It stated, “Apart from making it possible for customers to purchase airtime at the lowest rates, it also offers opportunities for small scale entrepreneurs to sell low-unit portion packs of recharge cards as a new revenue stream. President Goodluck Jonathan will on Wednesday unveil the specially designed commemorative N100 banknote by the Central Bank of Nigeria. The CBN disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja. The bank said the commemorative note was part of its contribution to the centenary celebration and was in line with its mandate of issuing legal tender CURRENCIES for the country.

The statement read in part, “The choice of the N100 denomination is to mark the centenary celebration of Nigeria and is consistent with best global practices for central banks around the world during the celebration of national events.
“Part of the features of the commemorative banknote is the inscription of the theme of the centenary celebration: ‘One Nigeria, Great Promise’ as a micro-text.
“While retaining the portrait of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo on the front, the new note features Nigerian traditional dancers at the back. The commemorative note comes in different dominant colours.”
The new note, according to the statement, is also designed to incorporate additional security features for digital communication, protection against counterfeiting, tolerance to the tropics and ease of recognition of genuineness.
The bank stated that the commemorative note was for the purpose of the centenary celebration and would circulate alongside the existing N100 note.
It will be recalled that the bank issued a commemorative N50 polymer note to mark Nigeria’s 50th independence anniversary in 2010.

The Indigenous language rapper, Reminisce is gearing up for the release of his 3rd studio album and has adopted a rather strange title ‘Baba Hafusa’ for the album. The rapper, whose real name is Remilekun Khalid Safaru, announced the strange title for the forthcoming album via twitter, saying the album will drop in February 2015.

According to the rapper, ‘Baba Hafusa’ is in part a way of paying tribute to his first daughter, who is named Hafusa. Baba Hafusa, is simply translated as ‘Hafusa’s father’ in English, and the rapper widely known as Alaga Ibile, has chosen that title for the simple fact that people started regarding him as a father since the birth of his first daughter. At least three people sustained varying degrees of injuries on Sunday after a truck belonging to Lintex International Limited, crushed a Nissan Quest and a Honda Civic car at the Secretariat Bus Stop, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
It was learnt that the auto accident, which occurred about 4.10pm, caused a traffic snarl which lasted for over an hour.

Though no life was lost, the driver of one of the badly damaged cars was said to have suffered severe injuries to his shoulder.
He, along with other passengers in the car, was rushed to a hospital, according to an eyewitness report.
The Lagos Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Hyginus Omeje, said the accident was reported at his office. He, however, said he had yet to receive details of the accident.
Abdulahi Ganiyu, who witnessed the accident, said the truck ran into the Nissan and then later rammed into the Honda car that was negotiating a U-turn on the expressway.

AP Andy Rubin. Andy Rubin, the founder of Android, is leaving Google after joining the company when his startup was acquired in 2005.
Rubin was in charge of the Android division until 2013, and he helped transform it from a small open-source platform into the biggest mobile operating system in the world.
Now Rubin is going to create a startup accelerator for companies focused on hardware, according toThe Wall Street Journal. Based on what we've heard about Rubin from our sources, it sounds like a great fit.
One source who previously worked with Rubin described him as an excellent founder, explaining how he was different from Sundar Pichai, the Google exec currently leading the Android and Chrome divisions who just got a major promotion last week.
"I think Andy is probably the best person in the world to take something from zero to one," our source said in a previous interview before Rubin's departure. "Sundar is probably one of the best people in the world to take something from 100 to 1,000."
Another former colleague of Rubin's said Rubin always encouraged the startup culture at Google. Rubin's departure came as somewhat of a surprise, our source said, because it seemed as if he liked what he was doing there. At the same time, this person said, working at an accelerator fit in with what Rubin wanted to do.
"He's an entrepreneur. He likes to think fast and innovate," one source said in an interview prior to Rubin's exit, in reference to Android being handed over to Pichai. "I think that at some point, Android got so big that it's not necessarily that same challenge. And I think he still wants to have some more challenges and make some more great things happen."
Our source didn't know why Rubin suddenly left the company but speculated that it could have something to do with Page's recent reorganization.
