I have broken several hearts. What can a man do when a woman wants more than you've told her you can give her or you're tired of the relationship? Please nothing is by force, if you don't want to do again pack your load! But due to my activities, I avoid certain places in Lagos lest I'm abducted by the amalgamated union of scorned women. I've been heart broken once, don't want to ever feel that way again. I try to leave well alone if there are no plans for the woman because as I've grown older I've realised it's not safe/healthy to wreck womens lives (make woman no curse me o!) besides it's time to settle down. |
some times stuff i read here just amazes me. Let us not get carried away here, the issue of spousal abuse is vry real all over the world, wat makes the West better is that they have sat down and thot of ways of improving the lot of pple at the brunt of this evil phenomenom and by so doing have evolved of arresting the problem. such as opening safe houses, taking complaints more seriously, doing thorough investigations etc. so in that regard i will give them a thumbs up. Pple wat obtains here is childs play compared to the islamic countries, where honor killings are still rife and a woman can b beaten to death, strangled, stabbed etc by her family members just to redeem their so called family honor !!! There is a problem in naija i agree, but not in the exxagerrated proportions stated in the news piece because i know so many pple that hav not raised their hands to a woman (me inclusive). it is hell on earth to hav to endure a beating regularly from anybody and men who persist in it will 1 day realise their folly. Food for thot pple - i once heard this story of a man who used to beat his wife incessantly at the slightest provocation, well one day while he was sleeping his wife took a pestle and smashed both his knees. Thereafter she took him to the hospital and nursed him back to health but since then he has not laid a finger on her. No woman deserves a beating, neither shld they be blamed for being beaten that is as lame an argument as a woman deserved to be raped because of her dressing, there are civilised ways of handling issues with them which are even more effective if u ask me |
thank u fabian for educating chigszy |
If this statement is accurate it is indeed a tragedy that Ikoyi n VI which house a vry minuscle proportion of pple livin in lagos will have the highest hospital density in the country. Come to think of its just indicative of our cash and carry mentality, hospitals are now struggling for deposits from our society's "deep pockets", i wonder wat has happened to their hippocratic oath? this is a dangerous trend. Tho' i agree that health insurance is absolutely imperative, my grouse is that none of the carriers has a pple friendly scheme they simply hav failed to come up with an acceptable working model. Most of the carriers r just leeches, usually the only plan a struggling person (who r the majority) can subscribe to will only provide u panadol and plaster, so wats the use? lets just invest our money in the church and always giving God all the thanks and praises for His favour at not having to see any doctor regularly |
pple pleez! why r u all splitting hairs here, its simply crazy to try n make any distinction here. Just imagine if ur boyfriend or girlfriend caught u kissing or romancing another person or vice versa wld it be an acceptable response to say; oh! at least we were not fornicating . the thing wey no good e no good o! These road to fornication starts in our hearts b4 being translated in2 action, which starts of course with romancing, then kissing, so let us not attempt to divorce one from the other, because once weve kissed a person then xcpt we are plain foolish or cruel we usually hav decided that we wldnt mind sleepin with that person. thereafter wat is left is time and opportunity to finish the deed, that of course will not apply where the man is just a useless fellow or something monumental occurs to cut short the romance (like one of them leavin the country or dying). This is not to say im a saint, but where im concerned once the romance starts and it has led to kissing, then its just a matter of time b4 we shld get introduced personally to the womans more intimate parts. Less any unforseen circumstances, I always endeavor to finish wat i start ![]() So pple my words of wisdom r; its all the same sh.....t if ur not thinkin of doing it then dont start lest u end up toying with another persons feelings. |
I for one will be the first to state that there is simply no provocation on the face of this earth that shld lead a man to commit rape. if he cant control himself then he is no better than an animal...come to think of it iv never seen animals rape each other...guess that makes the rapist a special sub-breed of animal. Does he think of the consequences of his action to the girl and to himself. Every rapist needs help 2day his crime is against a defenceless woman, 2morrow...? ur guess is as good as mine. The other argument that, though she said no, her body said yes (HOW!) is equally untenable. Nobody can claim to be blind to the fact that a woman is not enjoyin herself, abi? A rapist is simply put a predator who takes advantage of the weak in society. I will not however advocate that all rapists be shot or castrated because i believe it serves no useful purpose. |
The Nigerian Police...haa! a wise man needs not to be told they are like a plague flee from them if u value life and limb. Really can we say anything has changed or can ever change in the force? the truth is that every IG is a product of the same corrupt and rotten system. tell me guys, do u think if the present IG did not "roger" when he was a junior he would ever have risen to his present position? Hell no! People, the truth is that they are all tainted, the police is dead. Look at the average cop, he is crude, semi-literate, combative, abrasive, psychologically defeated, a drunk, a killer and a bully (and these are among his better attributes). He claims to be poorly paid yet he fathers children like a pig whose fault is that? Please OBJ shld decree the regular conduct of psych analysis on our cops before its too late, becos a lot of them are unhinged. Frankly i do not believe there is any good egg in the entire force, how has he survived thus far? if we want reform, lets sack the whole bunch and start on a fresh slate, with cleraly defined criteria and guidelines. we cannot afford to have a polica that is an all comers affair. Its been done b4. People, I thank God evry day my path has never crossed with the polices' u just may not live to tell the tale. Peace! |
i do agree that a solution needs to be found to that seeming ineradicable fellow. it has finally become common knowledge that the man is simply helpin himself like evrybody else. But surely this sabre rattling and grandstanding by the House is not the solution. The question we shld ask ourselves is can el rufai be legally banned from holding public office without an enabling law? methinks if the House is serious, it knows the way to the police and the various anti corruption bulldogs of our dear OBJ |
its really tragic that so soon after the corruption blitzerkrieg aka IBB nearly destroyed our country, anybody can be touting the man as the best thing to have happened to Nigeria. God help us all if this is the country we want to leave to our children |
