Enugu State House of Assembly Committee on Works, Lands and Housing has reacted to the reduction of land use charges by as much as 50% by the government of Enugu State under the governance of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. The Governor had in consideration of the requests made by property owners in the state approved 50% reduction on land use charges. According to the house committee, this has once again shown the premium the Governor places on the welfare and yearnings of the people and believe this singular act of kindness and love will have a chain reaction that will trickle down to all strata of the society “The committee believe that this step wil have a chain reaction that will affect even the amount of rent paid by Enugu residents who are tenants”. The committee also appreciated the immediate completion of work at district Hospitals in Agbani, Udi and Enugu North LGA which is a clear demonstration of the Governor’s willingness to deliver on his campaign promises. Satisfied with the level and quality of the job done, the house committe Chairman Hon. Barr. Chima Obieze while speaking to Journalist101 said; “the Governor not only makes sure that contracts are awarded but goes further to ensure its completion and that the jobs are solid”. Hon. Obieze while speaking to Journalist101 after meeting with members of the Committee said the committee reviewed the level of developments going on in the State under the ministries of Works and Lands. He said though the Governor has done outstandingly well, he is confident that given another four years, the state will experience uncommon infrastructural development. ” No doubt, His Excellency has outdone himself considering the lean resources at disposal. “More still needs to be done for our people and we are confident that given another 4 years, His Excellency wil change the dynamics and bring more dividends and good governance to the State”. https://journalist101.com/2018/10/15/house-comte-lauds-gov-ugwuanyi-on-reduction-of-land-use-charges/ |
