"Regarding your visa application we are unable to make a decision on your application within published visa processing times.Do not contact UK Visa and Immigration, we will contact you if we require more information. I called their home office in UK and they confirmed that they’ve attended to my application but no email. What can I urgently do? |

It will be devastating to our health system. baba even as a Jnr Reg, most of my consos are in one stage of leaving the country, we regs are either starting or in one stage too same as HOs. Very crazy right. Some New Med grads don’t even want to do HJ in Nigeria. |

rotadeco27: It is dependent on your plan and the state in question . In the northern state , I will advise the state job ( I'm not talking about the north central state ooooo many of their governors behave like the southern ones) . This is because they pay salary and work is usually flexible to enable u prepare for foreign exams . If by any chance u decide to stay back in Nigeria for residency , they will send u out for the training while still paying your salary and you have a secured job after becoming a fellow. If it is a southern state ,abeg go for the federal because another governor can ascend the throne in 2023 and that 260k will be slashed and even become irregularly irregular. you’re a doctor almost without a doubt |

On a lighter note it seems the confidence in Nigerians (and for which most Africans hate us) is "factory fitted" exactly, so bold and confident without a glimpse of stuttering. Not our current sets of leaders though |

sgtponzihater1:
really funny man. Only in Nigeria will someone struggle so hard to claim what he is not. Can a Medical Doctor get employment as a Max fax SHO? No because he is not a Dentist, no matter his training. Can a Dentist become a even a house officer in the emergency department even if there is extreme shortage? No. Do Nurse know a lot about Medicine and Surgery, Many do. But are they Medical Doctors no. BDS and MBBS are two different courses with different certificates and different job specifications. Congrats again on graduating successfully after a tough and long streak. Do your best to leave the country, then you'll enjoy the course more and understand that the differences clearer very funny dude...he is trying to say he is both a dentist and a mbbs holder. As far it makes him happy, no problem, everyone deserves to be happy. I doubt I would ever have to explain myself as a doctor, if I see a dental case definitely I'm referring to my brother here the new dentist in town. The other day on Twitter, a lady claimed she just bagged 3 degrees in one day, B.sc nursing, RN and something that has to do with midwifery someone had to explain that she bagged only one degree been B.sc while the others are licensure. |

Mikolion87: Yes I studied dentistry, but we also write MBBS. The right thing you would have said is, the early phase of Medicine (2nd MBBS or pre-clinical) is just one attempt. But from the clinicals, it's up to four depending on who is the dean, and depending on the school you attend.
By the way, dentistry involves studying medicine as well with the exemption of a few courses (4th MBBS).
Our 4th BDS exam is actually Medicine and Surgery courses... Read the curriculum of dentistry. Don't confuse dentistry with other paradental courses.
I have no reason to lie about anything.. I don't have strength to educate you here about dentistry as this is not what this post is all about (visit my profile and read for yourself if you're interested in knowing). to start with, there isn't really anything like course in MBBS, it is all, from cover to cover. You need to be proud of your profession as a dentist, you don't need to attempt downgrading mbbs for bds to make ur profession seem more difficult to attain. MBBS is MBBS, BDS is BDS, we are professional colleagues. Imagine you easily saying you didn't just do some courses further attempting to massage an ego you don't have. You are a dentist period, I'm a doctor and I'm proud of it. You making sound as though you could be called upon for obstructed labour, or burst abdomen. All these points to inferior complexities, and you don't need it. Dentistry is a good course likewise medicine. |

Congrats on passing out, but I think you are misinforming the public on your degree. 1. What is written on your certificate? 2. Are you a dentist? Because you are giving the impression that you passed exams for both medicine and surgery and at the same time for dentistry. Anyways, congrats once again. |
