Make una rest abeg. Yes you can make money on ehailing and you can also get frustrated on ehailing and not make money. I know drivers who have paid off multiple HPs and I also know drivers who sold their cars to try something else.

It’s an individual thing. How you work is an individual thing.

But pearl that 10k in 5 hours, is it gross or net? If gross then it’s very possible. My target when I work is minimum 2k per hr.

We all praised our previous ehailing earnings but as time passed you begin to realize that you could have used those years (time) to do something better…a skill, a course, something to boost yourself. There’s definitely money in ehailing but the money is not for you. It’s for the app companies.

Driving is Abuja is really sweet but don’t get carried away. ETAs for rides in Abj is max 45 mins and that’s for like 46km drive. Also if you work 9-5 in Lagos and still drive, you don’t really have much to say because you work when the evil ones are not yet up or have retired so you don’t feel the heat. I challenge any 9-5 worker to drive one full month, then give us honest feedback and win 10k

The model can get you by but is not sustainable. Like someone said, if you’re using it as a stepping stone, don’t put all your weight on it because to lift up go come be problem.

Inbtw, while currently waiting for a client to come out I decided to clean my car and while doing that a young guy dressed in a security outfit walk up to me and begged for money to eat breakfast that its his first month at work...

The hustle is not profitable but I thank God I'm not begging on the street to eat or feed my family and pay rent and I thank God i still have little to give to the needy.

Really the hustle is not worth it…..anymore. It’s just a means to an end not something to be done forever. In Lagos, traffic, enforcement, touts and bad roads will take most of your earnings but in Abuja, there’s hardly those stuff but your car go collect in terms of km covered. I personally don’t like driving if there’s no surge. You need to have business sense and also be street smart to survive in this hustle.

The hustle is better in Abuja although they stingy with tips but you still get to meet great peeps occasionally. Funny thing is drivers in Abj want to go to Lagos as they feel it’s better. Them go collect!

Overall Verdict: Not Worth It. Learning a skill in 3 to 6 months is better than driving for 1- 2 years.

4 working days in a week equals 16 days in a month.

16*2000 = 32,000

Earnings for the month

50k + 32k = 82k monthly.

Remember you’re still going to spend on transportation out of this 82k which would roughly remove 12 - 20k depending on location.

So at the end of the month, you’re left with 70k or 62k

Now the 108k

You get paid 108k monthly without incentive.

Your transportation is say 20-30k monthly

You have 88k or 78k.

Of course location plays a big role in the calculation so adjust accordingly and decide which is best for you.

These are best case scenarios for the two options, though not a fair comparison because the 108k isn’t available now but the 50k with incentive is.

You felt heaven when you were trying to get him. Now that you got him and he’s simping for you, you want to dump him citing ‘cuteness’.

If the argument is truly about skills, the challenge should be if he can best his profit in value and not in percentage.

Capital plays a huge role in making money. The major thing is knowledge and skill but you need capital.
