This is quite bad. Although it has to be noted that all the world currencies are performing badly against the dollar. The dollar itself is skyrocketing.
Addo's government has actually tried more than others to boost our exports but he needs to do more. |

PDPGuy: Why has the Naira crashed to N735 - $1 Just soo crazy to think about. When ever I come across this picture I just laugh. Imagine that you were campaigning against 200 naira to the dollar only to go there and add 500 naira more. I swear African politicians are funny.

donjazet: Once in a while I like to take a break from here and chill. It's usually exhausting once I start.
Anyways, to your question, The truth is, I rarely vote based on just who candidates are or even their capacity. I vote based on what they represent.
And yes, even with the failure of this administration, if I went back to 2015,I would still vote the APC, because for the health and growth of our democracy, it was extremely essential to dislodge the ruling party, the PDP who are that time were really supreme across the entire nation.
Those were the days I truly admired Tinubu and Buhari for at least giving us credible opposition.
If the APC had lost the 2015 elections, the coalition would likely not have stood as we've seen that even as they won, part of that coalition still broke off.
I look at other African countries and I see how one party or one candidate remain in power for 40-50 years without any hope of things changing any time soon. Some of them transfer presidency from father to son. I think Cameroon is on that path now.
APC's emergence really helped in the growth of our countries democracy. 2 big parties emerging means that both would not want either to rig the elections and you can see that it's looking ever likely that we might just have a very credible election for the first time in Nigeria's history. So as I said earlier, I vote based on what the candidate represent.
But after all is said and done, we still come back to the fact the credible opposition which we entrusted with leadership have failed woefully.
Every single hope we had projected on Buhari and Tinubu has fallen flat on its face. All the problems they promised to solve have quintupled in size. Corruption has ballooned tremendously. Just look at the subsidy issue whose price has only continued to increase. Look at the poor investments in our healthcare. Look at the decaying security infrastructure around the country.
Every single promise they made, they have failed. There was a tweet I just came across I was moved to tears because it took me back to when I was in love with Tinubu. The man looked so sharp and promising. I overlooked every single negative vice thrown at him because nigeria desperately needed an alternative. Very unfortunate they failed.
And that is why we are trying something new. I support labor party and Peter Obi today, but when they when and don't perform as expected, we turn on them. That's democracy. Labor party symbolizes an end to political apathy in Nigeria. A win for labor party symbolizes a change in the political consciousness of this country.
A party with 5000 votes growing to more than 10 million in 4 years would be a modern miracle and we're well on that path. Labor winning ushers in an era of accountable politics in Nigeria. So yes, once again we project our hopes and dreams of a prosperous country on an intellectually astute figure. A humble, articulate and masterful organizer. Say of Peter Obi what you will but that this man has SINGLEHANDEDLY rallied a national movement is an achievement of its own. History would be very kind to him. Hmm. Good points made. But I don't relish anyone saying they rather go back and vote APC again. |

If you can complete your degree and go through graduate degree route might be the most straightforward.
Till when bro? When no hope for ASUU strike now?
You probably need to focus on your present studies (in order to get great grades) and scholarship/academic threads and websites. Investigate getting a graduate scholarship and japaing or if it is possible to restart your degree with a scholarship (very tough to do this second one i think).
The grade is fine. No problem with that and to restart no be problem.... Shebi I sha ti Japa? Whatever it takes, we die with it at worse.
Get in touch with people you know with similar circumstances who successfully made the transition. Get a composite picture from different people and then start making moves BUT keep a good eye on your grades at all times This is the tough one.... I wish!!! He gave you fantastic advice there. Get the right information before leaving. |

What I was trying to do was call more people to respond to the post, it was not to demean you in anyway. I just want to know if note 10s is better than Poco m3. One advantage the Poco seem to have already is the 6000mah battery while the 10s has 5000mah. I want Xiaomi fans and experts to guide me and tell me if the change is worth it or suggest another Xiaomi within that 100k range. |

Guys please I bought my Poco M3 last year and I've used the phone for more than a year now and it has served me so wonderfully. People on this thread that time informed me of the potential of the phone having booting problems so I never updated the OS and I've never had any single issue with the phone.
Now someone wants to buy it from me for 65k and I want to top it with 40k and get another Xiaomi. Please guide me on phones with similar features to this Poco m3.
The battery was the best feature, it has 6000 mAh and I never bothered to buy power bank because of this. I also use it asmy remote both for my DSTV, tv and AC. It's also 4\128 gig.
So please someone should point me to similar features or better. |

What do you have to say about Ghana's imminent debt default. I was looking at some data yesterday and you guys Debt to GDP is one of the highest in the world at 85%.
Infact your 5 year CDS spread is around 21%. The future economic outlook of your country is really bleak and this is putting it mildly.
Interesting how you are most worried about our political dynamics I am concerned about both because I have deep roots in both countries. I am not one who defends politicians because I know our systems are still playing catch-up to advanced systems but I can tell you that Nana has delivered more than Buhari despite both starting just 2 years apart and both deposing the ruling parties. Ghana's economic problems are really brought upon by the COVID pandemic and the present war. Nigeria has been in 2 recessions since Buhari took over. I care about both and I can tell you that despite Ghana's problem, the people's confidence remains firm in the government because people can see successes of previous government policies that has attracted international attention to the country than ever seen before. Multiple global firms are setting up in Ghana, our international image is actually good, hence the IMF agreeing to still lend to us while the government set up new tax avenues, So we can understand the economic troubles for now. Same cannot be said for Nigeria my host country. |

raumdeuter: 50K youth recruited into the army is 50K youths denied BokoHaram, ESN, Bandits and other petty criminals
Tinubu said he had a slip of tongue and used 50K instead fo 50M. So what exactly is the problem First of all, who told you that only very poor people or potential criminals seek entry into the army? I know some people who enter the army as ranked officers. Secondly, Boko Haram is a regional problem, it is very unlikely that an ijaw man would ever join Boko Haram. So is he advocating recruiting the 50 thousand youths only from those regions? Thirdly, 50k would hardly put a dent in the militaries efforts, moreso an underfed one eating only cassava and corn. Your spinning of narratives can't work. Try another. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by kofimoses: 5:57pm On Jul 18, 2022 |
Theflint1: Was it mentioned in error or he just didn't know what he was saying? I included the context of his speech to show it wasn't like some slip of the tongue.
“Recruit 50 million youths into the army, take away from their (the insurgents)recruitment source,” he said.
If Nigeria has a 50 million-man army that's pretty much its entire youth population, Boko Haram and all other insurgents are automatically starved of recruits. The insurgents are defeated and so is every other aspect of the Nigerian state.
There is a certain logic to what Tinubu said, it's the consequence that wasn't thought out. My brother reason this matter now. It is highly impossible for any country on earth to have a military of 50 million active members. That's a recipe for chaos!. Even the best militaries in the world have less than 10% of that number, not to talk of ours having half of the entire youths in the army. The man spoke without thinking. It's expected. He is senile and old. |

kingBolton: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/452289-tinubu-clarifies-statement-on-50-million-youths-recruitment-into-armed-forces.html We both know that this disclaimer put forward by his spin doctors to cover is gaffe is even more foolish then the original quote which the senile bat made. 50k recruitment will rarely make a dent in an insurgency that has grown and swallowed whole local governments and established provinces. There is no way to cover his rotten nyash. 50 million youth recruitment is a very stupid statement. 50 thousand youths is also a very stupid statement because it would need at least 4 times that for a difference to be made. Anyhow you look am, the man still has no plan. When you now add the fact that the man is CONSTANTLY talking about people eating only cassava, ewa, garri. You see that this man has nothing upstairs. |

Kloppo: Endeavour to FACT CHECK all what awon Ara ibi say and let them quote their source and not just "believe me bro,I no fit lie give you"... These APC folks here are mentally deranged. That can be the only explanation for people supporting that party. How will a party fail in every single area of governance and you still want them back in? No be voodoo be that? Even this fair INEC which Buhari is being praised for, I see it as a product of having 2 big parties. APC know that PDP has rigging capacities in their states while PDP knows APC has rigging capacities in their states which is why both came together to create a level playing ground, nothing else. Apart from curbing rigging, they also curbed post primary party defections so that both will no longer lose prominent members to each other. This electoral law that benefits the masses came about as a means of self preservation for the parties. APC is a failure. |
