Baba should be told that he cant do everything all by himself. This self-righteousness is becoming too much. Although i would welcome his strict supervision in that sector. |

senier007: Ediat big liar, how did you know Christians are majority in nassarawa and Adamawa? Or even Taraba? Where is your statistics? That is why Christians are called minority's in the north, Borno has both governor and his deputy as Muslims and you still think some people are up to 60% ! Wow you must be a genius to figure it out yourself. In trying to correct one stereotype u end up dishing another one. Check your fact please, and mind you, religion is a private and personal thing so stop using it as a yardstick to judge. Did you have to display your uncurt attitude online? For your Info, Christians are a majority in Taraba, if you have doubts about that then you have a lot to learn about Northern Nigerian yet. I dn't know about the other states. If you have information to the contrary please educate the people of this forum. We are all here to learn. |

fitzmayowa: Only in nigeria, will someone get "special allowance" for doing his or her job, that he/she signed up to do...
No to illegal allowance, nice PMB... you should also advocate for soldiers going on foreign missions not to be paid special allowances. Those fighting in Sambisa should also forego theirs. The Presidency should do away with feeding allowance and others because he should he is paid his salary in full. Okponu! |

Most of you commenting about pot bellies are not living in reality. Most nigerians grow bigger girths with time which is why even some very poor people are large at the waist. While our soldiers and other officers should try to keep very fit, i dnt see much that can be done about it. Its in our genes, pot-bellies, fat cheeks, fat necks and fat around the head region, large bottoms for the womenfolk, and voice that sounds like they is a huge reservior of milk in the voice box (counting of words follows). Its in our blood joor. Lol. |

These Fulani men have caused so much devastation in Taraba state. Most of the villages along Wukari-Jalingo highway have disappeared no thanks to these guys. By now, they would have halfed the number of villages in Wulari local government area. Unfortunately, i have many fulani friends dat i hav no cause to fear, i hope i wnt change my opinion about them soon. |

kenny987: Whether PDP or APC, the fact is that the persons who carried the mandate of the people failed them. The issues in Nigeria transcend political party membership...the deliberate entrenchment of corruption is a poor reflection of Nigerian citizens. Same people have decamped to APC...does that make them any less culpable for the mismanagement and theft of public funds/resources? God bless you bro. This is what i keep preaching daily yet people wnt stop blaming parties when there is no evidence that a particular party has out-performed the other. As such we keep rebranding, repackaging and recycling politicians all the while putting the onus of failure on the their parties. Each individual public office holder should be judged on his/her own merit. One thing is sure, our politicians belong to only one party when looting of funds is concerned. None of our lawmakers is genuinely concerned with reducing their bogus allowances, yet they belong to different parties. Bad governance has no party, period! SMH for my Naija people. |

utenwuson: Any tym I pass through lokoja d state Capital, I jst wonder hw other local government could be! if u look at d bail out fund u ll realize dt Kogi state is owin her staff over 50 billion, hw can the local Govt staff be owed up to 22 month of salary? state health 15 month, pensioners 12 month n no single four bed room project on sight in the whole 21 local Govt! My brother, we are hearing that Kogi is not owing that much, what actually happened according to those close to the governor is that, Gov. Wada thought the bailout funds will be available for him to loot so he ordered as much as possible. How many times have you heared of Kogi in the news as one of the states owing so much salaries. Instead we hear of Osun state everyday and Osun state only requested for N34 billion. Our Governor is now at a dilema and has refused to grant approval for payments to begin. Congrats to APC by the way, Prince Audu will win not because he is the best person for the job (he is a very bad choice if you ask me) but because he is by far better than Gov. Wada. |

Politics › Re: Igbo Vs Northerners: Hate And National Cohesion by kogirodent: 10:35am On Sep 14, 2015 |
explorer250: I think this article should be directed to the north. Historically, every conflict between the two entities is caused by the north out of jealousy and hatred for the igbos. They north termed the 1966 coup as an "igbo coupp" simply because their non competent officers sent to the south was unable to carry out their mission succesfully.
We dont like the north and the north dont like us. But the problem here is that the north is "not ready " to like us and the feeling is mutual. Our ideas, values, ethics, religion, beliefs and morals are totally different, therefore, we cant cohabit.
It is only out of sheer hypocrisy that we claim that this country is one. We all know that it is not and can never be "ONE" so why dont we go our seperate ways
The igbos have no problem cohabiting or sharing thesame nation with the yorubas just that the two groups two groups are "too" educated and percieve each other as potential "rivals and competitors not enemies"
I think we southerners should be agitating for one "southern Nigeria" but who dash the yorubas liver?
The truth remains that southerners need each other(especially igbo and yoruba). Maybe we igbos in the aftermath will help yorubas reclaim illorin and kogi No need to reclaim Kwara and Kogi. If Nigeria ever divides, we will not go with the Hausas. I am sure Benue will refuse to join them too. |
