1) I had once been denied a visiting visa in 2019 when I wanted to follow my mum their for vacation but my mum was given visa and she travelled then. Reason : " your ties in canada". Meanwhile my mum has close friends in Canada Hope this will not affect my study visa application. Also, my mum and dad have both been to Canada and USA.
2) I did biometrics in 2019. Do need i to do another one ?
3) Do I need to disclose to the vo that we have family friends in canada that can serve as guardians for me ?
3) My international passport is due for renewal in March 2023 & I am to resume school in Canada by September 2022. Do you advise I renew it before starting the visa processing in February ? Or I use this current one .
4) Can I apply vo my visa through NSE ?
5) What kind of properties and documents can my parents use as my home ties to Nigeria.

Visitor visa denial won’t affect study permit approval (I was denied visitor twice in the past but I still got study permit approval in one attempt)

You won’t need to do another biometrics. It’s usually valid for 10 years.

Also renew your passport because the visa they would issue can’t exceed your passport validity

You’re young, no one expects you to have properties.
You can use your parents/family as home ties. Just present it properly in your SOP

I still have some concerns . I sent my passport and my 6 yrs old son passport to Abuja for stamping but I checked my tracking and I discovered that vfs failed to receive the documents and so the documents is on its way back to Lagos without visa stamp . I called DHL to know why but what they said that in most cases like that ‘ it could be that my documents was not complete …. I tried contacting vfs to know the right docs to send but Their phone has not been through.My younger son has a US passport.
I am so stressed right now..
This is what I sent
2 photocopies of my passport ,
2 consent forms
Documents received when I did my biometrics
Original international passport
Receipt of Transmission fee (N8,900)

For my 6 yrs old son
2 photocopies of his passport
Original passport
( he didn’t do biometrics so I didn’t add any consent form)
Please I need your guidance on the proper documents to send

Good day house. After waiting for several months for PPR, correspondence letter (BVL) drops with no Final decision attached. what does this mean please? Has anyone experienced this? Are the outcomes usually positive? What are your advice also?
Also my biometric slip was done in Lagos and the slip is missing. What do I do if I send my passport to Abuja to get the visa stamped on it. Thank you

Is he your mum or dad’s brother?

If Dad, Include your dad’s birth certificate and your uncle’s birth certificate to show they have the same parents.

If mum, add your mum’s birth certificate, your uncle’s birth certificate, your mum’s marriage certificate & change of name affidavit

Thanks for your input, what the TRU require for MBA is 3.0GPA and I had 2.7GPA so am not qualify for it.

3.0 GPA in your last 60 credits/last 2 years of study

Meaning your GPA in your 3rd & 4th year must be at least 3.0

Please I need your advise on my admission process, I graduated with 2.2 (2.72 GPA in Economics Education 2015) and 5yrs of working experience in a financial institution as a credit analyst. I wanted to do MBA but this has seem impossible in Canada universities based on my search and findings, the only school that my GPA close to is memorial University they only accept 2.75 and I had 2.72GPA. I mailed the school but they let me know that my GPA is not qualify for the program and they also require GMAT or GRE, So am thinking of doing Post grad diploma in Global business management with Kwantlen Polytechnic University which is about $11k CAD but I don't know if anyone here has gotten admission into the school before (KPU) or I should just go to college and do Post grad cert. Also what are the difference in doing Pgd in College and doing it in University? And what is the best possible route? But I don't want UK option. I also want the cheapest school that is affordable. Please advice me on what to do. I need help on this decision. Gurus in the house please help your guy. Thanks and God bless.

There are two offices that handle visa stamping, lagos and abuja.. Maybe the lagos office is choked up therefore they sent yours to abuja

Also, which office did you do the biometrics?

I did my biometrics in Lagos

I just got this email
But my LOI hasn’t been sent

And I sent my passport to Lagos but I don’t know why it’s showing Abuja.

I believe it's because people say Abuja is faster and you may get it back under a week.
I sent mine to Lag on Friday 29th and vfs acknowledged on 1st Nov. Although I am yet to receive it back but I know it's been stamped because my LOI has been sent to my profile.

When was your LOI sent to your profile?

Thank you, I will contact VFS. I downloaded the proof of delivery from DHL today and it showed that the delivery was received and signed on Monday.

They didn’t send me an email till 7 days after DHL delivered

Just be patient
They said they have some backlog so getting to yours might take sometime.

You’ll have to pay the transmission fee if you don’t have the slip.
You’ll pay and include evidence of payment with the other documents you’re to send to VFS for stamping


I didn’t know about that initially but they called me from VFS that I had to pay and email the proof of payment

CAC can be put under client information
But reference it in your SOP so it can serve as home tie.

For Vehicle I just used proof of ownership certificate and got someone to professionally value it and issue a valuation document.
So I put the proof of ownership certificate and the valuation document under the finances section.

I agree with her except the passport part.my humble opinion is do not attach anything in passport section aside ur Valid passport.

You can put both valid and expired passport with travel stamps under *Passport*
Just make sure the valid one is what appears first when the VO opens the file.

I did that and I also know people who did and had no issue with their application

Hello great men and women of this forum.

Please I am struggling so hard to compress my documents to 4mb and place it in Client Information Sections. I have used all compressors but it remains above 4mb and the print has faded greatly.

It is possible to take some information to other sections? For instance, scanned passport, my travel histories, stamps pages and attached it in the section requesting for PASSPORT.

Also attach mybankStAtement, GIC, School fees payment receipt, my Company CAC document and employment history in my MEANS OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT SECTION.


If I do that, I can comfortably compress others in my CLIENT INFORMATION SECTION.

What are your opinions?

Here’s what I did

Get a good phone with great camera
Download Adobe scanner
And use the phone to scan your documents
(I realized that using the Adobe scanner on my phone produced clear and small sized documents)

Under PASSPORT
Scan your unexpired passport with all your travel stamps and old passports but arrange them in most recent order

Under Finances
Scan all bank documents/landed properties, and anything that proves you have the funds

Under Client information
Your SOP, certificates, employment letter (if any), payslips (to show you get paid), salary account statement (to show you are legit employed), and any other thing you wish to add


Then if you want to merge PDF together, use I LOVE PDF app on your PHONE.

The files come out smaller but still very clear on phones

PPR came in today!

Medicals October 5

You might need to go back and tell them you were not given a MEDICAL SLIP to prove you have done the test.

Just say that, they will print one a slip with your face with details and give to you
