If it's d same article we read then itv says 'Maitama extension' not Maitama itself. If you leave in Abuja, u will knw d area called Maitama extension. When u're coming into wuse frm kubwa express if u knw the place called 'after corner' where there's currently road construction frm d flyover frm mpape, yes that whole area down is Maitama extension. There's a redeemed church there, that is, opp Ministers hill. Frm after corner down to Nicon Junction, dt whole area has always been called Maitama extension. I think dt's d area the Minister renamed and not Maitama district itself. Phew
In our bid to castigate, we won't settle down and read stuff, everyone is jst looking for another opportunity to insult Goodluck. Well, Goodluck with that.
This statement should apply to you. We are saying there is no moral justification whatsoever to name any district in abuja after an individaul.

Lagos SAP market will be a good start for new project implementations. Abuja and PH will be good also but you might be supporting projects,Many orgs in Abj and PH run SAP.It is always difficult to share the whole project experience here for everyone to read. For me, i will say the two biggest areas, a consultant must be very good at are 1.your domain knowledge 2.you must have fantastic interpersonal skills. With these two great attributes, you will succeed in your career
SAP jobs in Nigeria are rarely advertised unless the resource is extremely scarce due to market demands eg C,R,M or Is Oil etc

We need you to share tips on how to get and retain SAP jobs,Nigeria is exporting SAP skills in and around Africa now.

Its not even about GEJ. Does the minister know the the reasons why districts have not been named after individuals in Abuja? huh

The initiators of the Abuja Master Plan felt that it is very important to retain the original names of these areas because they were once peoples' villages and it will be most unfair to the former occupants of these areas (The original villagers and owners) to have their ancestoral Names being wiped out of existence sad . That is why districts like Wuse, Garki, Wuye and all other districts in Abj have retained their original names. Now this M0r0n wants to change that. angry

Why must we play politics with every thing. huh This minister is a sick person honestly. embarassed

That's also what I think, but Nigerians have to think about why people are distant with them because you can't live on your own, everybody needs somebody, this issue has to lead to an auto critic as well, because SA is not the only country which is complaining about Nigerians, take a look to your own region ( ECOWAS) and Nigeria's fame, you'll see anyways good to see you
These countries that are treating our people badly are just displaying what I will call "childishness" because their leaders are still the ones that will run to Nigeria for help anytime they are faced with difficulties. Any Black African country that runs into problem first call on Nigeria for help, thesame people their people dispise so much. I don't blame them, I blame our "Father Christmas" leaders who are always quick to help them out at the expense of we the citizens. Imagine South Africa fa! mtcheeeww!

I look at your pronouncements and then check your siggy ,(''If you wann hide something from a black man put it in a book'') really? - I laugh in hysteria that someone who harps on Self Esteem could have a counter punchline contradicting their so-called belief in self worth. Do you know why that line was written or as usual in your lost sense of beign an african giant you just copied and posted that line? Take it away friend, please and then come with another line 'cos if you don;t know it is a  wicked jibe by whites thrown at blacks to portray their dislike towards a reading culture. Talk about irony!

I don't focus on negative. I only admit that we have problems, weighty ones we should be addessing. That my friend is the difference between us.
I can see you have nothing meaninful to contribute to the issue at hand my guy. My last and only advice for you is "Do not allow yourself to be treated like an animal in another man's land".

Saying you just admit we have problems has nothing to do with this matter. Your people were deported for no good reason (For which the S.A authorities have already apologised even before 'ordered' them to) and because you have "weighy problems" you just fold your hands and let things be. I hope we never get a president that thinks like you.

PRETORIA, South Africa — South Africa has apologized for a mass deportation of Nigerians, saying officials at Johannesburg’s main airport did not properly check their health certificates. At a news conference in Pretoria Thursday, deputy foreign minister Ibrahim Ibrahim said: “We wish to humbly apologize to them, and we have
Two diplomats from the Nigerian High Commission accompanied Ibrahim to the news conference, but refused to comment beyond a joint statement that described Bosom-for-tat deportations the two countries say should not affect their relations.

On March 2, South Africa deported 125 Nigerians who, according to airport health authorities, carried fraudulent yellow fever cards. Since then, authorities in Lagos have deported South Africans, raising health concerns.

Nigerians feeling bad about the diplomatic row, I understand. But it isn't a time to blow hot air and beat one's chest about being a ghoustly giant - a gargantuan economic apparition grin. It pains me as well to be hassled across and to be looked at differently whenever I traveled, but the fault is not with the other man because of the way I have chosen to lay my bed. The sense I get is we mostly have come to the conclusion that we are ''SHARP" people instead of people who would do right by laying and following a right path. So, we feel akward when we go out and normal procedures and routine channels of communication are demanded. If someone calls you a name you detest the onus is on you to show him that you are not by ACTION not by comical utterances of supposedly unseen high achievements, we haven't shown by our management capacity or lack of it that we can run anything properly (see HITV, those of you clamouring to drive out DSTV shocked) yet we are first to beat our chest and self-acclaim like a red-necked iroko lizard! Let us begin to demand from within that those who have stolen and invested our commonwealth in this same SA that we row with return same loot to the coffers where they belong. Let them that are lost in self-importance in both houses of government begin to treat us the citizens not with contempt but honour and worth by abiding within principles that will project our outside self-worth. Make we think.
So comfortable for you to say that abi? Do you also know that Dangote group, Globacom, Zenith Bank, etc are Nigerian companies to? Why do we always have to focus on the negatives? For every bad Nigerian you see abroad, there are 10 other Nigerians contributing positively to the economy of that country. You have a low self esteem and unfurtunately we here on Nairaland don't share that with you.

There is no government in the world that is free from corruption, not even your 'heaven' South Africa, We will keep trying internally to eradicate that but we must not allow ourselves to be maltreated anywhere!

What are you on about? Is there any corruption free country in the world? How does that connect to how people are treated. You are still repeating the same garbage. India and China are about the most corrupt countries in the world. They are the ogas of 419 and Internet fraud. Have you seen anyone disrespecting their citizens? If you dont love yourself man, then you are doomed. Stop hating yourself! It sucks. Nigeria is in a bad condition but that does not mean we are animals and no one should treat us as such. This kind of mentality you lot show here is the kind that makes us worship even lebanese, Indians and Chinese people right here in our country. Illiterates who come here to become millionaires just because people like you worship them. Stop putting on our government and grow some balls. I have had to tell off several white guys before because I no send them. If they respect me, I will respect them. But if they think they are somewhat superior, I will put them in their place!
Do not waste your time on people who have already accepted defeat. There is nothing you will tell them to change their shallow minds. We are so quick to agree we are corrupt like other countries are inmune to corruption. Yes we have bad leadership, that doesn't give any mudaphuker the right to maltreate us. Is the leadership in S.A any different from ours? Some people just claime to know too much.

Point!
But Kokoa I personnally think Nigerian brothers have to wonder why a lot of countries are in tension with them, and I'm nopt talking about economy and so on because I know some will talk about "envy, jealousy" but seriously even in Cameroon people used to talk about Nigerians wrongly and I don't really like it because I know a lot of sweet and welcoming Nigerians, so I'm asking you don't you think Nigerians (not all of course) but FG or the population need to think about why all of this is happening to them?
There is no doubt that we have a few bad egg among us, considering the size of our population it will be foolish for anybody to think that we are all "Saints". But the fact still remains that the number of Nigerians who are striaght forward and hard working surpass the few who have given us this bad name.

This is probably where one of our basic problems lies, the fallacy that ALL of Nigeria's problem is caused by the ruling elite or political class. No one wants to accept the fact that if we did we what we ought to do within our own circle of influence things would be much better than they are now. I don't care to sound like a preacher so I'll leave the sermon at that.

Us Nigerians are a funny lot, many people have a feeling of inflated self importance which blocks out common sense. Does a healthy self esteem mean that I should join a senator in calling for the heads of S.Africans because of this row which in reality pales in comparison to other pressing issues that plague this country? Come on, man.

BTW I see that you have accepted the defeatist assumption that 10 years is not enough for Nigeria to get her act together. Sad.
First of all, I did not say all our problem is caused by our political class even though they contribute to well over 80% of it. You can not also say the good things hapening to the economy of S.A now is aa a result of the "hard work" of their citizenry. Good leadership always has a role to play in economic advancement. The issue here is very simple; Nigerians were maltreated in SA which is very wrong considering the contribution of our people to their economy (Which you so believe is "da boom"!). So we should just fold our hands and sit down here because we have challenges facing us which like you said "Is more important than this". If that is what you are implying then I pity for Nigeria embarassed embarassed

If an American should shoot a Nigerian right here in Nigeria (We all know that murder is a crime), do you think the American government will allow you do whatever you want with her citizen even inspite of the crime he has comitted? Better still, you could say America should face other important issues like bringing back their soldiers back from Iraq, fixing their falling economy, etc  abi?

And for you to think that a complete transformation of our economy can hapen over night, then Brother I have this to say to you "Weke up from you sleep"!
