Inter is not really a force in Europe compared to Barca, in Inter Ibra was a one star player and the midfield didnt contribute much in terms of passes yet he still managed to score 25 goals in Serie A. Compare that to the midfield that Barca has and I will say Ibra will do wonders and will score in the CL unlike before. This is a team of stars and I guess he is humble enuff 2 recognize that!Eto will always be a legend in Barca (3rd highest scorer in Barca colors) but Pep wanted to change his team and bring in a diff dimension to Barca. I love Eto but welcome Ibra!

Up Barca!!!!

our first game is on the 31st of August with sporting gijon, i dont think they have forgotten what we did to them last season.
barca for life
Yes o real good news,

Big-spending Real Madrid will begin their La Liga campaign at home to Deportivo La Coruna, it was announced today.

Madrid, who have already spent close to £200 million this summer on new signings Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Karim Benzema and Raul Albiol, will face Depor on the weekend of 29-30 August. It is the second successive season that Madrid have been paired against Depor first up, having last year been given an opening-day clash against the Galician side at the Riazor.

Madrid had not won in La Coruna since the 1991/92 season and it was a similar story last time out, with Bernd Schuster's side going down 2-1 - a sixth successive defeat at the Riazor for the Spanish giants and a 12th loss in 17 trips overall. Madrid, who are now under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini after he replaced Schuster's successor Juande Ramos earlier this summer, have a much better home record against Depor though, and have won 32 of 39 league meetings between the two at the Bernabeu.

Reigning champions Barcelona begin the defence of their Primera Division title on at home to Sporting Gijon. Last season, Pep Guardiola's side took just one point from their opening two games against Numancia and Racing Santander - the club's worst start to a league campaign in 35 years - but they bounced back to become the first Spanish team to win the treble of league, cup and UEFA Champions League.

Barça's match with Sporting is scheduled for Monday 31 August, as they must face Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Super Cup on 28 August. The first Clasico of the season between Barca and Madrid will take place at the Nou Camp on 29 November, with the return meeting at the Bernabeu is set for 11 April.

Arguably the biggest match of the opening weekend in Spain will be staged at the Mestalla, where Valencia host Sevilla. Two of three promoted teams must face each other, with Tenerife travelling to Real Zaragoza, while Segunda Division champions Xerez are at Real Mallorca.

Full opening weekend fixtures in Primera Division: Valencia-Sevilla, Real Madrid-Deportivo La Coruna, Barcelona-Sporting Gijon, Malaga-Atletico Madrid, Almeria-Real Valladolid, Real Mallorca-Xerez, Racing Santander-Getafe, Osasuna-Villarreal, Real Zaragoza-Tenerife, Athletic Bilbao-Espanyol.

@ Biina. Having a good footballing mind is one thing. Dealing with so many egos is another. Pellegrini has his work cut out for him.
Yes o! The guy would have to find a way to please all the stars, the major prob would be the egos in the team, Raul is a major factor and has to be pleased and he always has a say in the team. Like i told biina before, if Barca leads the table in Dec, Pellegrini is history! considering he was third choice coach and I dont see him having the stern hand in the players affairs.

This happens every day, even married women fall for this so u would have to be strong till the deal is closed! Becos if u back out, the client might back off from the deal, ur company is aware of his advances but they value his money more than u so the ball is in ur court!

Hey Barca fans whats good, bin a lil bit down but im strong now, I can see an intruder in our thread barca doesnt brag we will focus on the biz @ hand on the pitch as we have 6 trophies to win next season. With all your array of stars mark my words ur coach has no say in the dressing room and will be sacked in Jan when Barca lead the table and the last straw will be Barca defending its Champions League in your stadium (Bernabeu)lol this one go pain una wella
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Breaking News! Manu Buy Micheal Owen by kokonets(op): 12:00pm On Jul 03, 2009
Manu have decided to buy Micheal Owen
United have been searching for a new forward since the departure of Carlos Tevez at the end of his loan deal. They had been linked with the likes of Karim Benzema and David Villa, but now it seems Owen will be arriving.

The 29-year-old suffered an injury-ravaged time at St James' Park but still managed to score 10 goals as the Magpies dropped out of the Premier League.

The former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker will be hoping a move to Old Trafford will push him back into the thoughts of England coach Fabio Capello ahead of next summer's World Cup finals.

United's policy is not to comment on transfer stories, but some Red Devils' messageboards have been lighting up with negative comments.

''Not happy. From what I've seen he is nowhere near as good as he was,'' was one; while another discontented fan lamented: ''Owen hasnt been the same for years!''

The CBN test format comprises of 100 questions divided into sections Maths, English, Reasoning, Current Affairs (Some questions about NDIC might be asked here), fill in the gaps stuff like that. The test is also conducted like jamb format the maths are not gmat sort of like business maths(3 buns cost N5 and the seller makes N15 every min and earns a commision of N100 per hr how many buns did he sell to earn the commision)

Just read and good luck, I hope we make it

Calculator is allowed, it will be in the format of the CBN test for those who wrote it.

As i type this, im just getting a text from FITC, I wonder why we have to write a test when its not entry level.

NB:Do they pay well?

Samuel Eto'o will probably end up @ Manchester city.

BUT, if he ends up at AC Milan, it would be nice to see him and Dinho reunite. I really rooting for Ronaldinho to revive his career. The guy is fukn brilliant
I doubt if Eto will end up there cos his wage demands are quite high shocked 1million pounds a week, even the arabs will be dried out grin

Are there no good striker (younger) we can get from the La liga without breaking the bank? If we are to look for short strikers like Villa, then we should go for Forlan because he's even taller
I concur, Villa's shakara is getting too much while forlan is even there waiting for a bid

Krayola:
I think we should go for Amauri. what do y'all think?
I think we can buy Negredo who was on loan in Almeria but back to Madrid or Llorente they will be cheap!

We don't need Robinho, lai lai, not another migget in the team, especially that frontrole
lol, well since it is obvious that Villa has his heart for madrid, I think we can focus on forlan cos we nid anoda strika to complement Eto putting into consideration that he might be away for Nations Cup duties unless Pep is willing to play Bojan during this period

$50m plus cacares and Bojan on loan for a year, thats too much for a 27 years old villa
I concur, I think Hleb, Gudjohnsen or Pedro should join cacares than Bojan as we still need him to grow under our style of play.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by kokonets(m): 6:11pm On Jun 11, 2009
lol,
He is under pressure, but I think he is more sensible and can handle the pressure this is not the first time. Its good for the la liga though cos it ill bring more followership n more fans, lol wont be surprise if more MU fans decamp 2 to madrid
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by kokonets(m): 2:33pm On Jun 11, 2009
We havent made any bid yet ooooo, well madrid are just trying to pack their teams with stars after the upset of last season. Its ok, its the italian and EPL leagues that will suffer, I forsee them sacking their coach in Jan when Barca are leading the league table.

He actually deserves a better contract than 45k pounds a week. He says he wants only 15% increament wish I think Barca can afford.
