I was a church boy, redeemed, and my dad was a a pastor.


I was shy too and didn't start saying hi or hello to girls till I reached 23.

I was always busy with my dads building materials shop, and didn't have much 1 on 1 conversations with girls.

I currently live in Kaduna with my parents and have a stable, comfortable life. I work as a teacher and also earn additional income from research writing and occasional website development gigs. I hold a Second Class Upper (2:1) degree in Biochemistry and consider myself fairly tech-savvy.

My biggest challenge is accommodation. I don't currently have a place to stay in Lagos, and that uncertainty is making the decision difficult.

For those who have made a similar move, especially from northern Nigeria to Lagos, would you advise taking the leap? How did you handle accommodation and the initial transition? Do you think moving to Lagos could be a worthwhile investment in my future?

I’m considering making this move as a birthday gift to myself and would really appreciate your advice, experiences, and suggestions.

How do you measure 'big companies'. Is it by the volume of customer base, the money they make in a year (which you think is billions in your imagination), or the popularity of their name.

Do you know if the 'big' company is servicing debts, distressed or cutting expenses just to stay afloat?

Do you know if they have spent billions acquiring another company and expected to run at a loss for the next 5 years, before they can break even and make their first 1 kobo profit? How about losing a good chunk of their customer base and top talents to new competitors?

Listen, if you have never run a company of your own and paid salaries for at least 3 years, I cannot respect that person's opinion on business management.

I have ran businesses and paid salaries for 13 years. It is like going to war.

No be lie. I really think Fed needs to look into salary scale especially for this big companies like banks and other established companies , you can't be making millions and be paying people salary that can't take them home

South Africa is one country I can never visit, I don't usually think about it as a country until i see them on news. Like this morning when i woke up, I've thought of going to Ghana or Rwanda for vacation, south Africa didn't even cross my mind. I've also thought of China this morning.
