first check weda the AC light is blinking after u powered the AC for some minutes, if it does. i heard similar issue with my 2001 toyota camry. A rewire fix the problem, yes i mean a rewire.

YES Too BIG........anytime u power u AC, checj ur dash board n see, ur RPM will raise,..meaning the engine power has been raised, in other words, more fuel consumption

was having similar problem with ma camry 01, i can tell u is not the fault of relay. the guy that did my a/c na rewire. he told me is a popular fault on toyota camry. in less than 30mins this guy did magic from inside the car. ma a/c rocks nw.
