charlesemeka85:
Liverpool-owned midfielder Ovie Ejaria is in line to receive his first-ever call-up to the Super Eagles, provided a one-time change of association from England to Nigeria is approved by FIFA before the next international window, Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has hinted.

The London-born Ejaria trained with the Golden Eaglets class of 2013 that contained the likes of Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho and goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, but was omitted from the World Cup roster because coach Manu Garba had doubts about his physicality.

Four years later in South Korea, the Reading star was a member of the Young Lions squad that won the FIFA U20 World Cup and debuted for England U21s the following year in a friendly against Romania.

Asked to provide an update on Ovie Ejaria, Rohr told Channels Television : "This player is one of the players we are looking for, we are in touch with him.

"These players who have played already for the youth teams of other countries, there is a process to do. They have to write a letter to FIFA, they have to follow some rules to change.

"Ejaria is one of the players, we like him, and we could invite him. We have other ones, you know the names, I won't give you all the names.

"Players like him could have the chance and I hope we have some friendlies, you see the calendar now, it is very difficult to have friendlies because we have to do the qualifiers for the AFCON and World Cup, it will be difficult now to start the qualifiers in November.

"We need friendlies to test these players, and it will be good to do it in September."

This season, former Arsenal youth-teamer Ejaria has played 35 games for Reading, scoring three goals and has four assists to his name.
People should fear, l have known Ovie for ages he may not look physically imposing but he is deceptively strong.

Look at Ejaria then and compare him to the boys he was playing against in the Eaglets.

Bros they are not just unproven to me but to the world

You cant be comparing unproven chelsea academy players to chuks

At least chuks is a proven laliga player
It seems you have read my post but you have been unable to comprehend the substance.

The bold is correct but in the context of the club it's irrelevant.

We are talking about Chelsea in this regard what the coaches think and believe of thier existing players on loan and or academy boys yet be given a good run of games.

IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE.

There are players in Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, etc who are excellent but with world class players limiting thier opportunities. These players leave the academy and walk into the first teams of many clubs.

You may call them unproven buy they are not unproven to the people that matter who make decisions , the Chelsea coaching staff.

Tega, Aina, Tomori, were all unproven academy boys look at them. But were always highly rated in the club.

James Preece the unproven unrated academy boy has effectively retired Cesar Azpilicueta all in his first season in the EPL

I wish I could take you to the Chelsea youth teams that's U23 and U18. I can assure you will absolutely change your words.

Look at that small boy Gilmore bossing midfield in Chelsea and you think he is the only one.

Do you remember when Omeruo was without club and he came back to Chelsea. He was training with the U18 not U23. That should tell you something.

Now if Chuks were to go to Chelsea ( I very much doubt it) and he doesn't get games. All of you in your sentiment based bias will say discrimination and favouritism.

As it stands Chuks lacks team discipline, doesn't back track, limited vision, end product is not fantastic and he hugs the ball too long with unnecessary dribbling. With that kind of behaviour do you really think he will survive in a highly focused and disciplined Chelsea team.

Now not you but many delusional will say oh he hates Nigerian origin players. And l am not being objective but prejudiced.

Why do we post here as if we don't know how things work in international transactions. Simply cos transactions are between govts doesn't mean there isn't corruption. Will some people in the Chinese Govt be willing to play ball with some people in the Nigerian Govt if given opportunity? The answer is a big yes.
Agreed without reservation or question

Corruption is intrinsic to the global military procurement market.

BA system even have a huge sink fund for paying bribe sorry consultation fees to person deemed to have brought value to transaction.

In the West when corruption is done it's not done so blatantly.

China and Ukraine are the corruption haven of arms dealing.

Forget the Chuks matter and look at things in general. How many times have we seen a small boy come from nowhere and seize jersey from old man.

In my opinion Chelsea have the best academy in the EPL.

Add to that Chelsea can buy you for millions and still leave you rot on the bench. This is a reality in Chelsea we have seen play out several times.

Chukwueze has been benched at his club Villareal quite often and you think he cannot be benched at Chelsea.

Chukwueze is not better than Willian and Pulisic and he will be competing with the club's favourite Hudson.

In all honesty l don't think Chelsea is that interested in him. So all this talk is just speculation.

You have come again with your doomsday predictions.

Better players in their Academy, based on what? Someone has played a full season of topflight football in a top league, but the Academy players are better than him, if dem ask you now, you go say dem win U20 World Cup like Solanke, so, they are better.

Is there any Nigerian player from Nigeria you even rate? I mean, before they make moves and prove you wrong.
Your imaginative prejudice makes you creative but also untruthful. Try and be objective or your deductions become clouded with premeditated negative emotion.

I did not say BETTER I said there are quality youth players in Chelsea all knocking on the door of first team football.

Let me educate you about things you have no idea of that you can only learn by participative association.

Preference will be given to existing youth players who show real promise. This is much more now a reality than EVER BEFORE because of what Frank Lampard has done in his first season with youth players.

Those Chelsea youth players will have been ingrained and trained from the ages of 9/10 in the Chelsea football way and ethos. At age 16 they will not require transition to play in Chelsea or the EPL.

In the past youth players like Lukaku, Kakuta, as well as new quality signings like Morata, Salah, De Brain, were not given much time to perform. You must hit the ground running or be dropped there is very little PATIENCE.

These are the variables that Chukwueze will face and have to overcome.

By comparison as you have implied Chukwueze has played in Villareal in La Liga and therefore he is better. Do you think if Pulisic, Hudson, Willian and Pedro would not be first team regulars for Villareal.

Nonetheless, playing in La Liga and playing in the EPL are not the same. Before you misconstrue, l did not say BETTER l am saying DIFFERENT that means greater emphasis on certain attributes than others. Which will be different from La Liga.

Finally, tell me one player that l did not rate that that proved me wrong
. I can give you players l rated highly to EXCEL but proved me wrong like Etebo.

You said he is not starting because the villareal coach prefer spanish players and because of the euros ? if na so then you no try for that one, is it not same coach that believes in chuks and has always been starting him, some days are like that bro, dude is still rated at 40/50 million euros if you wanna purchase and that shows he is good, and mind you he is one of the best youngsters in the laliga

Pulisic has even struggled at chelsea self , forget say e don score 5 epl goals

Pulisic did well against bayern nah , why you come dey downgrade am now,so you want make e score against bayern before you know say e do well abi? Supernerd you are the bias one here and its very clear .

Please did chuks score against madrid or barca? Yes he did well but did he score?

Please educate me

Thank you
Getting opportunity in Chelsea is not that easy and it competition in the team is very stiff.

Pulisic had played 16 games and 5 goals in the EPL and Chukwueze has played 26 games and has scored 3.

And if Pulisic is struggling then what will happen to Chukwueze. Meanwhile you have 19 year old Hudson hungry waiting for opportunity. I won't even mention the academy boys knocking on the door.

That's the clear reality of the situation.

Chelsea have Callum Hudson Odoi who has literally zero goals this season as their starting winger, they also have Pedro and Willian who don't have up to 10 goals combined in the team, don't act like Chelsea is like Barca or Real Madrid

Chukwueze is already better than the wingers at Chelsea as it is
That may be your opinion it may not be the Chelsea approach.

You also forgot to mention 21 year old Christian Pulisic who competes with Hudson who is still only 19, who is probably ahead of them but none of them are ahead of Willian.

In this regard where will Chukwueze stand.

Then you need to understand preference is given to existing players just by association. Then add to the equation that Chukwueze will have to adapt to Chelsea and the EPL.

These are very clear objective observations he will not be given preference because he is Nigerian favourite by some.

I gave two examples of young players who did not get opportunity at Chelsea. I mean even Lukaku was not given much opportunity at Chelsea, Morata who came with expectations and proven quality did not really establish himself at Chelsea.

Chukwueze has played 26 games and three goals as winger that is not exactly exceptional. For anybody to conclude he will walk straight into Chelsea first team.

He is better off staying in La Liga and developing his career and improving his stats and abilities. Or moving to a team that will give him clear unrestricted opportunity.

For real, OK, let's not compare with Europe, they have by far more money than us.

What about Senegal, Uganda and Kenya soldiers. Always well kitted.
That's not true and it not the pertinent issue.

In Europe if a General over night became a millionaire, and had assets in excess of his earnings. He would have a lot of explaining to do, not being praised as a trail blazer of innovation and competence.

You have several degrees of compliance with independent checks and balances. Continous audit. To ensure outcome delivery standards are kept and casualties kept to the outmost lowest.

A situation where combatants are not paid or underpaid. Or deployment in theatre exceeds agreed time limits almost impossible.

Add to that the oversight function of the legislative chambers separate or fused. Parliament essentially gives the common man a very LOUD and CLEARLY DISCERNABLE VOICE.

Nigerian combatants are expected to be dehumanised and say yes sir no matter the circumstances. In otherwords die in silence and when they talk some if us perversely condemn them.

Senegal, Uganda and Kenya are not our peers. Our peers are Algeria, Egypt, South Africa.

The problem is ourselves a mixture of ignorance and shameless sycophantic praise singing of incompetent leaders political and military. As a consequence we enthronme mediocrity and create way below par expectations.

I personally know at least 6/7 players of Nigerian origin in England that Rohr was talking to thier agents. From my perspective until agreement is made and commitment clearly given. It really is just Chinese whispers. Thats why l would never talk about it here.

Sometimes let's be careful about our instinctual deductions on what's actually happening. We all want what's best for Seyi Olofinjana, but the other guy may have a point. The question is, how well is Olofinjana doing with the wolves youth team. I just checked Wikipedia, and it says that, as of February 2019, he was the loan manager of the team. Based on this although he may be working for Wolves, i do not think he's coaching any of their youth teams currently. I may be wrong, in which case you may provide information that says otherwise. Perhaps you can clarify this if you have access to different information.
Seyi has been in the youth system at Wolves for five years plus.

That means he would be rotated in different age groups. A reflection of management strategy or how they rate you. Which is really not about perfomances but relationships.

Being in charge of players on loan assessment is a still within the coaching remit albeit it not directly.

But he can coach for the next twenty years and without going anywhere.

I remember Earl Barrett played right back for England and Everton. Fully qualified. The only job he could get was coaching U14 at Stoke city after a year of frustration he moved to the USA.

Most Black players have accepted that in the UK the gates are essentially slammed in your face and you are locked out.

Then again it mirrors what happens in society in general.
