If to say i get strenght go dey bring out stats like forgiveness, this argument go don end since

Smh
STATS are indicative particularly when we are not talking about pure goals and are not entirely conclusive.

Bamba playing for Cardiff last season before they were relegated had better stats than Van Dyke , but is he better.

Stats guide you but there is more too it.

Maybe or maybe he had high hopes and expectations for the other center forwards then, the likes of Solanke, Ings, Sturridge

I read they're renegotiating the Werner deal though
They let ings go IMO prematurely and now Ings is killing it in Southampton and is among the top 5 in the EPL with 15 goals.

Liverpool have another striker they bought from Brentford he has not got near the first team forgotten his name , i dont rate him although not as bad as the Elliot boy.

Solanke was a good bit of business coaches did not rate him and then they found Bournemouth to take him for £20 million madness, Sturridge never recovered properly from his injury to compete in the EPL and has been a passenger for the past two seasons before theY let him go.

Gernot Rohr should look at this prospect. Much better attacking midfielder than Iwobi. On the same level as ejaria. Will become a better AM than Ebere Eze in future.
Why did he leave Tottenham ?

He is 18 he looks very good but dont forget the Eredevisie is not the EPL and or the Championship and to compare him and say he is better is than Eze and Ovie who are playing in far more competitive leagues is way too premature IMO.

Liverpool have a very good relationship with PSV and i am surprised PSV did not sell him by now, they may be patient and waiting to sell him for much bigger money later.

In terms of development he is in the right place for the immediate now.

Klopp has some issue with not playing a proper 9 ahead of firmino and the competition in the Man u team cannot be overstated

I believe he can get playing time in Arsenal despite Oga Aubameyang in the team but I also want him in the champions league or at least Europa

Mourinho will limit his other abilities at Tottenham
Look at the intricacy of play in Arsenal and the technicality of movement and interchanging of passes including first touch the dont play off the shoulder continuously. Consider how the 18 year old striker Gabriel Martinelli fits flawlessly into that system.

Arsenal will have to change their game plan to accommodate and get the best out of Victor and if they do not he will have to adapt, how quickly can he do that in the EPL.

Those are the questions.

What is the point of this your argument?

You use 'We' when talking about the Super Eagles, but how many of their games have you gone for, even when it's in your backyard?

Is fandom by buying tickets and going to games? Someone is supporting a team from Nigeria, and you are asking if he has season tickets, does he live in England? How will he have season tickets?

The way you try to demean people sometimes, in your quest for whatever, is very disgusting.

He has as much right as anyone else to use WE for a team he supports. If Liverpool comes down to Nigeria and he has an opportunity to watch them, you think he won't? You think people in Nigeria that buy these club jerseys and spend their money to watch the games of these clubs do not have the right to use WE, when referring to clubs they support? Don't clubs make money from TV rights? Who do you think pays for these rights? Fans with season tickets?

What exactly are you getting at, by trying to ridicule his use of the term?
With regard to the bold, you quite clearly did not read the first post between myself and Danielnin00 , then you would understand where the discussion emanated from or at least i hope you would.

FYI information

U are totally wrong about Keita.. His problem isn't performance but injury. he has battles series of injury since he joined but has by no means been a flop..
He has picked up form this season..

I dunno where u get the story that we are looking to offload him,but it's 100% false..the only players we are looking to offload are Lallana,Lovren,Shaqiri and Clyne...

To discard my view so strongly calling it false, really implies that you have some insider knowledge and or acquaintance within or close to the club to be so convicted in your position. Well that is how i see it.

And so the question of "WE " is to ascertain what "we" means and the context, yes CONTEXT in which he uses "We". For me i had actually presumed he is in the UK or at least probably in Western Europe. I am not the only contributor here that lives abroad there are quite a few maybe not in the majority but a good number. I do not think that is an unreasonable assumption considering his comments or do you disagree ?

But you just couldn't contain yourself, assumption, upon assumption all in the negative.

Shooo omote whaaten i do u, see how ur eye deh tear.

Finally, finally see how you add pepper and salt to my alleged post in the second bold, come on that just plain UNTRUE.

I could remember on dis thread den when we compare ighalo and nacho.....osimhen was never in d pictureI was in Iggy camp wyle some where in nachos camp even though both strikers where misfiring den smiley...so in a nutshell.. Ighalo retired, osimhen took over cool
Actually Rohr view was that Osimhen did not have the physicality to compete in the AFCON he was not in the picture at that time.

However, with the untimely and unexpected retirement of Ighalo Victor became number in the absence of any real competition, that may now change when not if , Ighalo returns.

But its all good for the SE competition does not decrease quality it increases it.

England did not qualify for the U-17 World Cup in 2013, so, it is not likely we will find players from that crop doing much today. You can barely even find the team list online.

However, they were present at the tournament two years later, Trent-Alexander Arnold, Chris Willock and Tom Davies, seen to be the only players from the England 2015 U-17 team that have actual football careers, the others are playing for mediocre teams; I checked, to be sure.

Of those three, we all know, only TAA is EXCEPTIONAL. The likes of Tomori and these new age English players we have been bamboozled with so far, were never considered good enough for these U-17 team's.
First of all you lack understanding.

If you had some level of knowledge by participative association of football in England then you would understand, but you do not. And you therefore operate on assumption birthed from limited perception which is mostly emotive.

I will address Icon4s as well on this subject , I did ask what is his unit of measurement for success, because the term is ambiguous even the how we use the word progression.

There are two very large disparities within football in making comparison to Nigeria and England. Undoubtedly the aspiration for the overwhelming majority of players in Nigeria is too play in the much more financially lucrative football leagues of Europe.

In Nigeria the route to gain access to the top European football league is almost exclusively through the vehicle of youth national football , U17 and U20 , great emphasis is placed on this route. Furthermore, there is natural consistent progression from the U17, & U20 national youth teams to the senior national team SE underpinned with football progression in Europe's top football leagues. Going to Europe as an over 23 year old Nigerian is not impossible but very difficult.

In England progression to the top teams in the EPL and or the still very financially lucrative Championship is absolutely not underpinned with success at U17 national team selection, its completely , irrelevant. Indeed England is quite unique in that for a very long time there was no consistent progression from national youth teams U17, U21, etc to the senior national team. It was perceived as an unnecessary intrusion by many top clubs.

As a consequence football particularly EPL clubs considered U17 football a distraction particularly for player who were already excelling and even playing first team football. Indeed the players were not particularly interested and that interest becomes outright refusal if they are already playing first team football and or very close to it. Playing U17 will be considered a demotion, in Nigeria you have the complete opposite. There are well documented grumblings by the English FA against clubs refusing to release players. The clubs cannot be blamed when you have 16/17 year old playing first team football on £20k a week, with the season in full swing they will not want too lose their momentum and place in the team by playing a U17 youth football tournament, it simply adds no value to their career.

However, for young players who are in league 1 and or in EPL clubs but far away from the first team then playing for England may just give their careers a much needed boost.

TheGoodjoe and Icon4s asked for a comparison of the 2013 England U17.

Before I proceed, you will find quite a few players of 15 in the U17 indeed you will find also quite a few players who are 16/17 playing in the U20 teams for England. Again for some players will consider U17 football beneath them rightly or wrongly that is their choice. As a consequence these youth team squads are quite large because of the number of players withdrawing mainly at U17 level.

Bringing things up to speed "kick racism" out has affected selection and the previous racial discriminatory bias in favour of blue eyed players of past years has declined considerably. Fast forward , England won the U20 and U17 world cups with a predominantly black team for the first time. What it did was give players added value and more bargaining power as well as prestige, add to that Mbappe and the incredible values put on young players, English clubs now see it as added marketable value which was not the case before.

Now lets look at the England U17 squad in 2013 and 2015 that seems to be your focus (not sure why) , I will name 10 players from each of those squads.

2013 England U17

Angus Gunn - GK - Southhampton
Freddie Woodman - Newcastle United on loan at Swansea 1st choice GK
Joe Gomez - Liverpool FC
Ola Aina - Torino
Rueben Loftus-Cheek - Chelsea
Lewis Cooke - Bournemouth
Harry Winks - Tottenham
Dele Alli - Tottenham
Izzy Brown - Chelsea on loan Luton Town
Kasey Palmer - Chelsea on loan Bristol City
Alex Iwobi - Everton

2015 England U17

Alfie Whiteman - GK (reserve) - Tottenham
Alfie Whiteman -GK (reserve) - Manchester United
Reece Oxford - Augsburg
Hayden Coulson - Middlesborough
Jay Dasilva - Bristol City
Trent Alexander - Liverpool
Kyle Edwards - WBA
Yan Dhanda - Swansea
Todd Cantwell - Norwich
Andre Green - Aston Villa on loan Charlton Athletic
Nathan Holland - West Ham on loan Oxford
Jonathan Lekoy - WBA on loan at Charlton
Chris Willock - Huddersfield
Marcus Edward - Vitoria de Guimaraes
Lukas Nmecha - Manchester City on loan Middlesborough (changed allegiance now plays for Germany U21)

Finally , you should look at the exceptional transfer bids being made for the unexceptional Tod Cantwell according to you.

I understand from inner sources that Osimhen to Napoli is very likely (if not already) done and dusted. Demanded assurance of a starting place put in his contract.
Napoli got a strong reference about Victor when they contacted Victor's former coach at Charleroi, Patrice Mazzu, and that further helps cements Victor's worth in the transfer game.

4million Euros annual salary excluding Bonuses.

Five years deal. 60million Euros transfer fee which easily makes him Nigeria's most expensive signing of all time.
(Truth is I see him breaking this again or any other transfer price a Nigerian could go for in future if all goes well, and I believe it will, for him at Naples when time comes to make the move to a true elite clubside).

This transfer to Napoli is my second preference for him this summer as I would have firstly preferred him staying one more season at Lille and going for an even higher price. But like I already said before, both choices are good enough. It's only that one is my first and the other my second in terms of preference. I wish Victor the very best in his continued walk up the ladder of club football.
Napoli will hopefully be a bigger step forward to the class of the Elite for Osimhen.
Dr 2 Know see how you disgrace yourself with your "inner sources" what a comedy .

The screenshoots show that both players have an added ability of winning possession.

Regarding their roles, Firmino drops deep to create chances for the team. That is an Advanced Forward.
Osimhen on the other hand hangs around the last defender waiting for chances to finish. That's a poacher. If the ball is played into the box, a poacher has to be available to finish.
But an Advanced Forward doesn't need to hang around the defence.

Look at Firmino's heat map over the last 3 seasons compared to Osimhen. It is as though Firmino doesn't want to get into the box. It's only this season he manages to get in more, due to the emergence of their attacking wingbacks. But Osimhen heat map in the box is very strong.

And lastly, since the 2013/14 season, Firmino has not provided less than 7 assists per season. 6 seasons in a row now.
They are very different kind of strikers man.

Pic 1: Firmino
Pic 2: Osimhen
Agreed

But then again his primary job as a striker is to score and assist while Henderson and Wijnadum should be doing the tackling in center midfield

Even though Klopp might probably start firmino, Timo Werner would have played his position like a champ and shown firmino how to convert Arnold and Robertson's crosses

Teams will rather have a proper goal contributing striker than one that tries to gather defensive stats
Unfortunately Klopp doesn't agree with you Lol.

Gabriel Jesus unlike firminho scores goals and also assists and he's also productive from the wings he will definitely bench firmino if he makes the mistake of signing with Man City
There are two different philosophies and systems that Liverpooland Man City teams play.

The system that Firmino plays is almost like an attacking midfielder but a very hard working one that creates, attacks, defends and supports Mane and Salah who don't exactly play as traditional wingers.

The Wing back role is very crucial to Liverpool game plan not surprisingly see the number of assists Trent and Robertson create.

Liverpool will not fit an out and out striker and you will have to be very technically astute as well.

It did not work for Balotelli and Benteke and they were quality strikers. So strikers coming to Liverpool better have this in mind. Or see your career go south.

Once you are dealing with top teams in the EPL, TIME is a very scarce commodity.

More prolific in the Bundesliga and playing in a particular type of system. Those attributes do not automatically transfer to Liverpool in a different system and league.

I remember Keita left RB Leipzig after 3/4 very consistent outstanding seasons in the Bundesliga and came to Liverpool with a transfer close to €60 million also with great expectations.

What was the result he is simply not up to scratch after two seasons. And they are looking to offload him.

It should be warning to players that after the big money comes the expectations of performances.

The requirements of each league and team is different as well as the style of play and system. Can the player adapt and thrive the big question.

Not true in any way. When Gabriel Jesus came, I felt it was criminal leaving Aguero out for this dancing kid. But, with time, I got to see the brilliance of Gabriel Jesus. He plays in an effortless manner. He does not stop running, pressures all defenders, drops deep to win the ball. Tracks back at mind blowing intensity, fills pockets of spaces during defending. Utilises gaps flawlessly during attack.

It was clear the kid was the complete package with respect to the philosophy. Only draw back was that his strike rate in front of goal was not as lethal as Aguero.

Hence the philosophy rules, it was right Guardiola made the choice to drop Aguero for Gabby Jesus. With time, Aguero learnt it perfectly and now a joy to watch. Not as effortless as Gabriel Jesus but Aguero made up with high tactical positioning which returned him back to the favoured strike king.

Has nothing to do with footballing politics.
This is surprising, l remember when KC left city and everyone well the very much larger majority that Gabriel was not better than KC. And all accused Pep of racial bias.

I cannot say you did because l cannot remember.

There's no way you can convince anybody that Kanu is a better striker than Yakubu and Martins, I'm not saying he's a bad player or but not as great as we love to speak of him
After the display in the Olympics 1996 he became the darling of our hearts.

Add to that his skills and entertainment value.

But in the cold objective look at the game he had limited impact particularly with goals both for the SE and in club football. I dont know what his assists were.

However, I am unapologetically emotively biased where he is concerned.
