Yes you can. But make sure he or she earns about €2000 every month. It is advisable to use a sponsor from abroad to make things easier

RealFirstLady:
Can I use sponsor in Nigeria as means of sustainance?
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 11:57pm On Mar 10, 2020
What is the name of the school??
Thewizardof0zil:
Hi gurus in the house, I found a school I really like in Belgium, but the mode of instruction is Dutch, now the school said they can offer me a conditional admission, so I can take language classes in a language school for a year, which I’m willing to do, cos i really wanna learn the language, because I feel it will be of great help to me.

Now my question is, what are my chances of securing a language school visa in Nigeria?
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 11:53pm On Mar 07, 2020
I did not see you pm. Please ask the questions here. It may help others.

trendygirl:
Konja44 please I sent you a PM can you please reply? I need you assistance please
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 6:31pm On Mar 05, 2020
Correct

victorsol:
you are not certifying your transcript.
once you have official transcript with you, that's enough.
what you are certifying in your school is the photocopy of your certificate.
the reason why your school refused to certify them for you is because you included transcripts.
pls be guided, it is only photocopy of your certificate you are certifying. and your school must put stamp of the school on it to confirm that the certification is coming from them and not from someone else

Is it for a student visa?

Bhorbymills1990:
A friend of mine applied for visa but got rejected due to the following reasons
1. There are reasonable doubts about your intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa.

2. The purpose and circumstances of the intended stay have been insufficiently demonstrated

Should he Appeal or How would he solve this issue on his next application??
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 10:09am On Mar 02, 2020

Thewizardof0zil:
Please who knows any school in Belgium that doesn’t require IELTS for undergrad?
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 3:47pm On Feb 29, 2020
For this year, it is 666euro * 12 months

regizoch:
How much is the block account?
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 11:22pm On Feb 27, 2020
This is not true. The amount is set by the Belgian government. For this year the amount is 666euro. Next academic it will be added slightly. The issue is some school may ask you to pay 13 months instead of 12 or they may ask u to pay slightly higher than the 666euro to be on the safe side during visa application bcus the govt change the amount each year.

For example if you want to block money now u will be ask 666euro and if u eventually apply for ur visa around June, u will be refuse the visa. Why? This is bcus in June each year the government will make some adjustments in the basic living amount. That is why some schools will ask u to block about 700 euro to stay on the safe side. With this sum, even if the amount is increased.. You will still be good to go.

Hope this helps

IMustWin:
Basically, it's about 660 Euros per month. But some schools use different amount above this rate. Thus the price varies per school. Reason u need to contact ur sch.
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 6:28pm On Feb 27, 2020
No

Hadedee:
Good afternoon house
please for the commitment that charge would be taken ...does it mean that per month, they would automatically be deducting the sponsor or what does it really entail?

how much is needed for the block account? What is annex 32
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 10:58pm On Feb 22, 2020
You pay fees only when you get to Belgium.

Sponsorship.. 2 ways to proof that
1. Block account
2. Annex 32

Note...no bank account statement is use as means of financial solvency in Belgium.

laromapicassio:
Guys good day.please does Anyone know Ghent’s processes? Once I get an admission, do I have to pay fees from here (Nigeria) or will I pay once I get there? And how much should my sponsor have?
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 11:24am On Feb 22, 2020
Yes

IMustWin:
am as well surprised bro. Plz are you in Belgium already?
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 9:54am On Feb 21, 2020
Application will end March 1st. I don't think you will meet up with all this documentation and postage to arrive here by that date.

bj000:
ghent university apllication how will someone go about certified copy of transcript getting my transcript sent from my uni as been delaying and the deadline is extremely close what can i do
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 9:52am On Feb 21, 2020
Why should the first year be higher than renewal? Normally the 666euro is the basic sum for student this year and each year they increase this amount... So next year it will be around 680. That is why the university want to pay higher so that even if the amount is increase after u have made the block account, u won't ha e problem with visa application. But 800euro is too much
IMustWin:
the school says €800 * 12. But subsequent renewal would be 666 monthly.
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 3:00pm On Feb 18, 2020
Wrong. How much will 666 euro x 12 months sum up to??

IMustWin:
It's actually €10400.
Tnx Boss

Please, like what amount is needed as proof of financial solvency during renewal of RP?
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 9:20am On Feb 18, 2020
Check University of Hasselt

Jubrilx3:
hello,

which school accept english proficiency letter in belgium? for Msc business or management related course.
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 9:19am On Feb 18, 2020
Yes u will still need to show proof of financial solvency for renewal of RP. The amount is not 10K euro. Do you calculations well. Also you can use other means to proof your solvency like the annex 32.

IMustWin:
Yes you have.
Thank you very much sir and plz let's try keep this thread flowing.
Gracias!

One more question please!
To renew my Resident permit in Belgium, do I need any proof of financial sufficiency?
I'm actually applying to VUB for a BSc course and they need a block account of about €10k for visa/RP for 1 year as living expenses. So I'm concerned if they would still require me to show this €10k again for the subsequent renewal of my RP.
Godbless sir.
TravelRe: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by konja44: 2:36pm On Feb 04, 2020
name of the school please??

mistakilli:
I got admission in Netherlands. The schools over there receive your ‘supposed’ blocked account money and process your visa. If approved, Then you book appointment at the embassy in Ghana for pasting of MVV.

The school then returns the money to you when you open a bank account on arrival.

Most schools may be paid, but really it is close to free. Tuition fee for the school I applied is €2,143 per year.
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 1:50am On Jan 26, 2020
You should have applied for a diploma contract not credit contract.

Ccorji:

TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 1:55am On Jan 24, 2020
in Ugent if you study in English for ur bachelor, EPL is ok for some programmes, others will ask test score like ielts. In KU Leuven u need test scores like ielts for all programmes . only those who studies inn USA, Canada, UK, Australia can use EPL. that is clearly stated in the email they sent. Try and take ielt s den
victorsol:
some of those schools wants English proficiency result and not letter from either toefl, ilets and the likes.
I will just advice that your write toefl since it's faster or if you have written any apart from proficiency letter, you can upload it.
I wrote Ghent University stating this and they said they want English proficiency result and not letter.

You can also write the school to be sure
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 1:50am On Jan 24, 2020
they don,t accept EPL

DeeKeem:
I think you should email the course coordinator and explain the situation.

It might be that the school does not accept EPL
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 1:02pm On Jan 07, 2020

authe911:

Am an intending masters student but my interest in French speaking region of Belgium. Please anyone in any of the following schools should please help me: university of liege; free university of Brussels, uclouvain
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 4:56pm On Dec 21, 2019
Pre admission in Ugent is not conditional admission nah. The Pre admission is just to tell u that your Bachelor degree meets Ugent requirements for a Master degree. This is the admission you got from the department. Then when you send ur legalized documents, u will get official admission letter from Ugent admissions office.

For the tuition fee. It is strange have not heard of that. I even know other students who have gotten pre admission but were not ask to pay a Tuition fee before they get their official admission letter.

For the PM check your email

victorsol:
I have checked again.
I applied for joint international masters in rural development and I was giving pre academic/conditional admission.

I have sent you pm.
TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 9:16am On Dec 21, 2019
Are you sure you are dealing with with Ghent University?? Ghent University does not ask for tuition fee while you are still in your home country. You only pay for tuition fee while in Belgium. Ghent University does not give admission even conditional admission without legislation of you diploma.

Please check again it is not Ghent University. I am a student of Ugent and know what I am talking about.

victorsol:
Good Morning, I'm newbie here. i applied to university of ghent on tuesday around 2pm and i got conditional admission around around 5pm, just 3 hours difference. want to know if its okay that way although i am going for masters.
Secondly, part of the condition given is for me to send my legalised documents and pay tuition fee. my question about the legalised document is that, my school cant give me another certificates and transcripts by hand. Can I request my school send my documents directly to the school through courier and would they regard is as legalised documents since its coming sealed
