If you can go for another bachelor it is will be nice. Check Artevelde College Gent, Odisee College Brussels, UC Limburg-Leuven.. All this colleges offer bachelor programs in business management and accept ielts band score of 6.5. For masters, please check Ugent. Hope this is helpful Richmondoau: The institute of philosophy at KU Leuven requires I score 7.0 in my ielts and my score is 6.5 so I need about schools that accept 6.5 ielts score |

Normally schools here aim at students with at least 2nd class Upper. However some times they admit 2nd class lower. It depends on the university. xtus: Thanks everyone for your feedback to my earlier question. much appreciated
Please giving the attachment below, does that mean this particular school will accept any bachelor qualification from Nigeria regardless if it is 3rd class or 2nd class lower?

Thank you very much brother. bezimo: M.Sc degree.. you should bother more about your school sending your M.Sc transcripts to WES. You are allowed to send in the degree certificate yourself since you are expected to have it.I pressume you have since completed the M.Sc programme
if you are using offer letter and employment contract..you have to ensure you indicate the complementary card or contact details of your supervisor on that job.and also explain all that in the letter of explanation on why you couldn't provide a reference letter.. you will have to attach that letter of explanation to your application as an additional document, so your file assessment officer can go through it and understand your situation..
I heard this approach worked for others..you just need God's favour in the sight of the assessment officer. |

I THINK ONLY KU Leuven will ask for ielts. For the other Unis u can use an English language proficiency certificate issued by ur school. Stating that English was the language of instruction during ur bachelor degree programme. xtus: Greetings to all the great members of this thread.
Am looking at applying for a Masters admission to few universities in Belgium and I would love to find out from all experience and successful members if the IELTS result is a compulsory factor when applying for admission or can the be waived for international applicants from Nigeria.
Also if it is compulsory, did you guys write the academic IELTS?
my apologies in advance if my question have been previously asked or if it did offend anyone. I would appreciate you kind response.

Which degree here the MSc. or BSc. I want my school to send Both MSc. transcript and degree certificate at once. Please do you have an idea if I can use a an employment contract, and letter of employment as proof of work experience?? THANKS bezimo: Exactly..i did same as I was in your same shoes and it worked fine as I have my PR now. Let your school send the transcripts of your M.SC and you send a copy of the degree. |

Make photocopies of the certificates and legalise dem. Don't legalize your originals Femiadeuyi: Good day,
Pls I still need clarification as touching the visa legalisation of document for visa application. I’m not sure yet, are we really going to submit original certificates for legalisation at the Belgium Embassy? I don’t just feel comfortable with the idea of having 3 different stamps(MOE, MOFA) or whatever it’s on my original certificate. Can you pls explain how you did yours?
Tnx |
Travel › Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 1:44pm On Nov 01, 2019 |
Only legalized copy of you certificate is required Pweedydaughter: Huh? Confuse o |
Travel › Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 8:34am On Nov 01, 2019 |
Legalized Transcripts are not needed for visa application emmy4Gold: @ pweedydaughter it depends on what the school you are applying to request for. If they need official transcript directly from the school then you have to do as requested. Mind you, for visa process you will need to have your transcript so that you can legalize it at MOE, MOFA & @ Belgium Embassy. So my take is that if your intended school did not make it compulsory to send directly from your previous school then it is better to send it to an office/organization in Lagos, so you can get it from them. |

There are only 2 ways to proof that you have enough money for daily up keep in Belgium. 1. You can make use of the block account offer by your university. Here u are required to transfer 12month X €666 (AY2019-2020) to the university account in your name. The university will issue a block account attestation which u can use for ur visa application. 2. U can make use of Annex 32 or what is called prise en charge. You will néed someone in good financial capacity earning about €2000 monthly to sign this for you Note no bank account statement is needed or use as proof of finance for Belgian student visa. I hope this helps. Also try to read from page one of this thread as there are a lot of useful information there. Have a nice day Freshprince777: Goodday all, pls after getting admission what are the things you need to apply for visa? Like how much do I need to have in my account if I am sponsoring myself? But if its a sponsor how much will he have? Do I have to just provide the statement of accounts? Do I have to pay part of the tuition before applying for visa ?
Please do help me with answers to this questions.
Thanks |

KU Leuven is different from Ugent. Take note.. Femiadeuyi: @emmy4gold.. I’ll advice that you send at email to the school directly. People on here have a way posting misleading informations. I received an email directly from KU Leuven some days ago saying I don’t have to legalise my documents. I only need to upload a pdf-scan my original diplomas. And they went ahead sharing a link with more detailed information of admission requirements.
I don’t know how it works at Ghent tho, just saying the school is the best guide. |

emmy4Gold: Thank you so much Konja44. I will legalize the original. then make photocopies of the legalised document for admission. Hope they will accept it at Ghent. No it won't be accepted. Only the original legalized documents will be accepted. |

emmy4Gold: Good day my people, can I submit photocopies of my legalized documents for admission at Ghent. I intend using the original for visa process. Thank you for your response No.... No legalisation no admission.. So it must be the original |
Travel › Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 12:08am On Oct 24, 2019 |
Correct DeeKeem: Hi
1. For admission to the university, you scan your original documents and upload them as you fill the online application form.
After those scanned documents are processed, the University will ask you to send legalized hard copies to Belgium.
You will make photocopies of your original documents and legalize those photocopies. To legalize, you will first go to the Ministry of Education, then the Ministry of Foreign affairs and finally the Belgian Embassy.
2. The school will provide a list of the documents they want you to legalize and send to Belgium
This is my understanding of the process, I stand to be corrected |

send an email to vfs and the embassy to inquire why you have not been called up for the interview. clairesavante: Hey guys! Barka de Sallah to those celebrating!
Newbie here, don’t worry, I’ve read the entire thread, so rest assured I won’t ask questions that have been asked on here ad nauseam.
I applied for a study visa to Belgium on 19/07/2019. My documents were received at the Embassy in Abuja on 22/07/19. The end of this week will mark a month since I applied, and haven’t been called for an interview/heard back. I’m aware this is typical for Belgium, so it’s not surprising to me.
I did, however, have my school contact the embassy on my behalf to find out the progress (if any) on my application. The response was a generic one (as expected), but they gave a 5-digit reference file number (this isn’t the same as the VFS reference number for tracking one’s application).
I saw some users mention a 5-digit “visa number” some pages ago on this thread, and contacting the Home Office in Brussels to find out more on their application status.
This brings me to my question — even though I’m yet to be invited for an interview (and my documents are most likely still in Nigeria), can I still call up the Home Office in Brussels to ask for a status update on my application using the file reference number the embassy gave in their response to the email my school sent them?
Lastly, could a non-legalized police character report be grounds for a rejection? That is the only dent in my application. I only certified it at a Notary Public. I met all other requirements to the last letter. I don’t have any red flags I’m aware of, have a decent (at least, I think?) travel history to several countries including the US, UK, Dubai, Russia (where I studied for my undergrad), Mongolia, and have a Schengen Visa to Finland (although I didn’t travel eventually — travel date coincided with my US visa interview).
I received a “Proof of Solvency” certificate from my school after I deposited a set amount into an escrow account in Belgium. All foreign documents (mostly my medical degree and transcripts were all legalized by the official authorities in Russia and duly translated to English with notarization). Medical report from Kamorass is a clean bill of health (I know we’re not supposed to see it — the doctor sent me a scanned copy before it was sealed). Of course I included my Letter of Acceptance from my school. I guess that’s it?
Thanks! Hope to hear from you guys! |
