dexter1983: Please all should note that BOI loan is no joke. It's no different from commercial bank loans, after months of training,s pent time and resources, they now saying your guarantors must have a netwoth of 5m, 2 of them each. They are not helping us pls, so no one should think they are doing us a favour. I know many can't meet this condition for a young startup but why waste our time , resources on online training, inhouse without mentioning this hard post approval condition many can't meet up with. I am already in the advanced stage but there is a condition they just chipped in which they never mentioned since inception...after approval of your business plan, You must provide 2 guarantors with a networth of 5,000,000.00 Each who will sign affidavit, drop the receipt of the property before your money is released.
This is the latest, so please ask them in your in class training o because I know this will give many people serious issues.its a big problem. Let's post this on our various BOI groups on WhatsApp. I am already discouraged after getting to the final phase, how do I get 2 people worth 5m each to drop receipt of their properties?
BOI is not helping us please. sorry but i got to ask, where did yo this u get your information and how credible is this source? please dont be offended i am asking these questions. |

mogatti: In class training is very interactive and interesting however the terms for accessing the loans are not too friendly for start ups I must confess. If you are a start up my advise is to start very small probably with an MVP ( minimum viable product) test the market properly and see if you have designed your product exactly how the market wants it, if not please adjust and adjust till you achieve a product-market fit. If you have adjusted to the best of your ability and still cnt attain a product-market fit, pls kindly drop the business idea. Warning: pls use a small proportion of the loan to build ur MVP say 100k out of 5m and if the MVP does nt wrk look for the 100k plus wateva interest at that time and pay back your loan. This money is nt free money, its money meant only for those who can work very hard and have the guts to take risk. what are the terms you talk about? |

obailala: Oh my God!.. not again!.... Did you say Railway system?... refurbished 1960 trains is what you call a working rail system?.. How does refurbishing 1960 rail tracks account for the monumental drop in foreign reserves and other funds when the country experienced massive oil boom?
Good roads where?... Benin Ore road?... Where were you before 1999 before Obj came to power?... Are you aware that that same road was fixed all the way from Warri up to Okada (after Benin) before Obj handed over?... Are you aware that OBj even built the 'brand new' Benin by-pass which helps travellers to totally avoid the massive traffic they experience inside benin city?... Jonathan fixed a stretch of the road on the approach to Ore and this was commissioned as a massive achievement, meanwhile it was someone else who built the entire road in the past.
Or is it the Abuja roads or the east-west road?.. kindly mention the road that was started or completed by GEJ in the entire nation for him to claim that he gave Nigerians good roads?... Propaganda is such a terrible brainwasher and a destroyer of minds. It still surprises me that the juju placed on Nigerians in terms of believing GEJ did plenty roads has still not cleared up till now from the eyes of some people.
No new industries?... Are you aware of the massive employment created by the telecommunications and the banking industry under OBJ?... Are you aware that OBJ single handedly gave Nigeria a middle class?.... If only OBJ decided to deceive himself and advertise his achievements with half the kind of media and publicity GEJ employed, we would have still had billboards of his endless achievements still mounted on Mars.
As for Power generation, can you mention how many megawatts of electricity GEJ added to Nigeria in his entire 5 years?.... And also, can you please name a single power plant which was started by GEJ?... Are you aware that even up till 2015, all the power plants commissioned by GEJ are actually projects started by OBJ and progressed to an advanced stage before they were abandoned by their contractors who looted the remaining monies?... Are you aware that those projects were funded by the same $16billion dollars we accuse OBJ of squandering?... Now this may be a big one, are you aware that GEJ spent more than the $16billion which OBj spent for power, but this was even after the power plants were all privatised but still yet, we could not still get up to an additional 1000mw in his entire tenure... and this my friend is what you want to compare to OBJ?... How can people so easily allow themselves to be deceived by these senseless lies?... Tell me please, what did GEJ do for power generation?
You say GEJ built 12 new universities but are you aware it was mainly more of 'upgrades' and not necessarily new institutions?... They convert polytechnics, college of educations etc to universities, all that was done was a change of name and I am still yet to understand how that accounts for the several billions of dollars lost from our foreign reserves at a period of unprecedented economic boom when we should have had increases in our reserves.
I just still cannot fathom how any one at all can still think that GEJ was a good or a better president than OBJ even with all the shortcomings which are very obvious. In terms of handling the economy and increasing GDP, OBJ beat GEJ (remember it is the telecommunications industry weof OBJ that led to Nigeria overtaking SA in terms of GDP). In terms of job creation, OBJ beat GEJ totally . In terms of adding to our power Riis, OBJ beat GEJ hands down (how I wish a similar power probe will be instituted to expose the monumental waste in the power gesector in the last 5 years). The only area GEJ may have beaten OBJ is in agriculture and lest I forget, in the proliferation of corruption - GEJ was weak and indecisive and for this reason, everyone under and around him kept looting Nigeria blind without GEJ batting an eyelid or probing a single person. Ed y I just pray God opens your eyes to see this one day. Abeg were you born yesterday? Na wa o for this tread. Nigeria is at the brink of another war and all you talk about is who withdrew money illegally or not. How has the governors affect your lives as individuals? Nigerians are the biggest fools ii have seen. |

Politics › Re: Jonathan Is Not A Hero – Oby Ezekwesili by konos(f): 11:52am On Apr 04, 2015 |
Monogamy: Leader of the Bring Back Our Girls group and former minister of education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan does not deserve the hero tittle for accepting defeat in the just concluded presidential poll.
DAILY POST reports Jonathan, before the INEC chairman could announce the final result of last Saturday’s presidential election, had called General Buhari to congratulate him for winning the election.
Following his decision, many Nigerians have been praising the president for saving the entire nation from disaster.
However, Ezekwesili says if only Nigerians knew the extent of damage President Jonathan has done to Nigeria, they won’t hero worship him.
She took to her Twitter page on Thursday, to air her views on the recently held presidential election.
She tweeted: “When a review of President Jonathan’s administration is done, we’ll realize how much damage sycophancy did to governance. Example? Chibok Girls,” she wrote.
“A leader must be without an inordinate desire to be serenaded with ‘good news’ or their team will never let them know the true state of affairs.
“An environment that rewards sycophancy encourages team to withhold accurate ‘bad’ news (problems) from the leader while serving up ‘good news’.
” When a leader makes hero worshiping costly to those who engage in it, he/she deprives the ‘sellers’ market to set the ‘Mediocrity Benchmark.’
“A critical success factor in governance is for the leader to both in word and deed convey a culture that abhors sycophancy. No hero worshiping.”
